I have been receiving these calls as well from a total different number than any one of they numbers posted here. My thing is they are calling and as soon as I say hello they hold the phone never say anything. So this time I decided to call back and yes there is something bout pdf or pif. When I ask what is this about all they say is its a business matter. Can tell them over and over again what is this about and they say are you so and so. Have requested more than enough fir them not to call my cell as the law states, however they will stop but start up again they call after 9pm on any day if the week. Reporting them means nothing!! Tried it more than once asked them ok I know your a debt collector very unprofessional at that and rude so you might as well tell me what it is you want. The same thing are you so and so... its really sad and annoying

Just spoke with the FTC and the only way to get them to quit calling about someone elses debt is to write them a letter stating debt is not yours and to stop calling you. Must send by Certified Mail. They said to keep copy of your letter prior to sending it to them. Their address is:

This company robo calls a debt for Dana (last name I will not show). Called at 3:30 a.m. this morning. Needless to say, I am LIVID. Pressed 1 on numerous occasions to advise them that the debt they are collecting for is NOT at this number, however, they keep calling. I finally pressed 4 this morning and spoke with Krystal Walker who said she will take me off their robo call list. I informed her she had better since I AM NOT this person and DO NOT KNOW this person. She said it takes 24 hours for my # to be removed. I informed her I will be contacting the FTC, BBB, and my attorney today. They better damn well take note. Wouldn't it be a prudent business practice to do some research to find out and actually know who the hell they are calling if they really want to get pay from Dana? Does no good to keep calling the WRONG person, cause I'm NOT paying this persons bill for them!

Bill collectors for people I do not know, but I remember this company because I DID call them back one time and told them "if they continued to call I was going to report them to the FTC and the ATTY General in their state and CONTERSUE them and the person who gave his name."...APPARENTLY they chagned their name from ERC to KERC...MORONS!!!!
YES, you CAN REPORT THEM TO THE "FTC AND ATTY GENERAL in their state along with the person's name that is given to you".( CALLER ID on your phone works wonders!!)

After over two years, it is time to stop calling my home phone in an attempt to try and make a debt collection for someone I have repeatedly advised I do not know, have no knowledge of nor do I have an information as to his whereabouts. Each time I phone I am assured my home number will be removed from any furthe4r calls, and yet I continue to receive as recently as 6-11-13

I keep getting collection calls for people who do not live here or I don't know.  i have had this number for over 30 years and I am 95 years old and don't need the irritation.  Who is responsible if I get one of these calls and rush to answer and fall.

Did not like to have someone tell me if I am not this person to hang up because of private information.  I have had this number since the early 80's and am tired of these stupid phone calls for someone else.  Know where, who, and why you are calling before harassing people.

I have been getting these calls, too. Name that was given for colection was Agula ,. I have been given a different # 800-496-4599. I finally called this Number and pressed 1 and was told my number would be cancelled within-24-48 hours.  A likely story but I can hope.  What can anyone hope to gain with this??   A business name was not mentioned only that is was being used to collect a debt.  This time the call had no number listed only said Private Call.  Last week  I tried to block them and my phone would not allow me. Said number that I used  was Unauthorizied. and that was the number that called me.  It is surely a scam of some kind.

I receive at least 5-7 calls a week, begining at 8:30 am - 9:00 pm.  Although the nuber they left for me this
morning was (800) 403-9624. Then directed me to the www.payerc. Tried to access this web page, redirected me and then when I tried to log in, it came up with an error and kicked me off.  Enough is enough, I don't know who to go to, thank God they don't have my cell #.

If you call them at 1-800-586-0013 you select the first option which is basically this person is not me. I waited on line and spoke with a customer service rep and they were very helpful and removed my number from their list.

I called them and explained the situation and they were polite and made a note in the file. Easiest just to call and get it straightened out to avoid future calls.

I just saw this and called the number.  It started with a recorded message requesting you input your number for removal. I did it three times ( feedback loop), only after the third input, it goes to a REAL person who said the number will be removed.  We'll see.

Same here, I get at least 2/3 calls a day from this number.  It's a robo call (recorded message) for someone else.  Our number is on the DNC list and we don't have ANY debt, We've had our number for over a year.  The message says"If you are not this person," please hang up because this message isn't for you.  How many time do you have to hang up before they get the message.  What good is the DNC list if robo calls really cannot be identified.

I actually got through to the website identified in one of these posts and found that indeed where I heard www.kerc.com, it was actually www.payerc.com.  I am disputing the info given re an outstanding debt however and am awaiting a reply.  I will keep you all up to date.

bob has been calling non-stop for a while now. When you actually find the right website it has  warnings all over it, which does not make one want to  sign in! I am wondering if they are hitting up people who have had debt previously. I also recently have gotten a best buy card. It seems like a scam and I am not giving out any personal info to anyone!

I just went to their website and went under "contacts" and selected the complaint feedback form and filled that out.  I just put in the reference number into the slot that an account number was asked for.

Hello, and thank you for this opportunity to voice my statement against kerc. I had a debt that I finished paying off in Jan. 2012. They would not send me a pd in full statement, but the young man I spoke with from the co. said that my account showed pd in full on his computer. Now I am getting phone calls from this co. with a reference number. Tried calling 1-800-501-7759 as requested on the voicemail, and continually listened to a busy signal. Now I read that they don't even have a website!! If i receive one more call, I will report them to the BBB. This is ridiculous and harassment. Thank you.

I got a phone call from these people (a different number than above,1-800-278-2420) I decided that to go to the website. Of course, like many others found out that the "kerc.com" was not right. SO...I got on ask.com and found this forum.
So....I was given a reference # and I went to the website "www.payerc.com" and it wanted me to log in. I had never been there before so I saw the "first time log-in" button and clicked on it.
It brought me to a place that wanted me to put in the reference number from the recorded phone call and so I did. It took me to another page and gave 3 peoples names AND then below 3 addresses. It wanted me to pick the one person and then the one address that was mine.

NOW LISTEN TO THIS!!!!

I decided to see if the addresses and the people matched up AND THEY DID!
THIS COMPANY IS GIVING OUT *ACTUAL* PEOPLES NAMES *AND* THEIR *REAL* ADDRESSES!!!
I went to www.whitepages.com and looked up the addresses and sure enough, THE PEOPLES NAMES AND ADDRESSES CAME UP AND MATCHED!!!

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THAT IS LEGAL FOR THEM TO DO? I AM CONSIDERING CONTACTING THE PEOPLE AND TELL THEM ABOUT THIS!!!

Ok so after you create an account, do they then set out to harass you by email junk?  They have been calling my number from a cell phone number at least 3 times a day!  I did the KERC.COM thing too and then decided to google it and found several blogs. Very helpful. Will try all the suggestions and the trace with*57 sounds like a good one and reporting them to BBB, FTC, & ATTY General is a plan.

I have tried the web site and can't find it and I can't get ahold of no one on the phone. I don't know what the debit is and I sure would like to find out but everytime I get a call from them it is a machine saying to call back or use the web site. Are they real or what I am reporting them to the better business bureau.

Dafedil gave some very accurate info on how to use the reference number, etc.  When I did look at the site, they wanted an email and the security questions choices were to give your mother's maiden name, the last 4 digits of your SS# or last 4 digits of your license.  Of course without supplying that info, you can't see what the debt is.  Oh yes, the person they wanted hasn't lived here for at least 15 years.  "Bob" did call but used a different number to call 800-576-2046 but the same website www.kerc.com.  Sounds like a big scam asking for some very private information.
