Follow the steps in what you need to know and send them a cease & desist letter via US certified or return receipt mail.  Tell them they may only contact you via the mail.  Keep any records in a notebook of the calls/conversations, record any conversations (you may need to inform them of being recorded depending on the state you live in).

The only outstanding Debt I have is from a Dr who I never saw after sitting in his office for 4hrs before being rushed to an Emergency room. They were charging me for a Dr visit when I never spoke to a Nurse much less a Dr. These people are now calling me at work and I am reciving threats of termination due to the volume of calls 6 in 1hr. If I am fired I will not any any bill much less theirs. As for that bill, Insurance refused to pay because there was no service provided no claims code used. Recorded voicemail to call Bill Thompson back on a personal matter.  This call was received on my personal home phone.
I just called and got a recording that said "welcome to national enterprise systems," please hold...............was put on hold for several minutes, tan I hung up the phone.

These buggars leave messages continously with different caller names. Most recent name used is Jim West. I have yet to call the number.

Now his name is "Jim West".  This is from NES-National Enterprise Systems, a bottom feeding collection agency located in Solon, OH and currently being investigated and sued by the attorney generals of OH and WV.  Please file and FTC complaint, one with the attorney general of your state and one with the attorney general of OH.  Every FTC violation is $16,000 and the FDCPA  is $1000 per violation plus damages.  DO NOT CALL THESE FOLKS BACK.  I suggest that if the calls continue to go online or within your local legal community find a lawyer who specializes in suing these folks.  I also suggest you contact the FTC and your local state representatives to change the law about collection agencies and ROBOCALLS.  If the collection agency is looking for information from a third party, they should not be allowed to use a generic robocall message and have you call back.  There should be a human being attached to that phone call.  A collection agency is only allowed to contact a third party ONCE.  I think every one of the calls I have gotten in the last two months is a FTC violation and and FDCPA violation.  FYI

I just recently received a call from a woman of an unknown number saying i owe Sally Mae 9,500 and that i need to settle now or make some arrangements or i would be sued and wages garnished .That is true i do owe the debt but i applied for a income contingentcy and was approve in July-August so my question would be that now i have a contract with you why sue me when we have a agreement? Now today 1/18/10 i decided to call them back because i talke to a Mr. Lopez on Saturday and a gentleman answered the phone and i asked him what his company does,he refused to give me a straight answer he kept saying the name of the company and i could hear someone in the background trying to feed him information.

"Bill Jones" calls my cell phone 8-12 times a day at all hours of the day.

For two months I was getting a prerecorded robocall from "Bill Jones" and it's about a "personal matter" and for a "resolution" to call 800-925-6141.  Now I get the exact same message word for word except it is now from "Jim West" and to call back 800-498-1798.  I have already contacted a class action suit law firm that has current and prior lawsuits against NES.  There are several law groups out there that specialize in suing the collection agencies for FDCPA violations.  I think this robocall is in violation and because they keep calling using an autodialer with a prerecorded message, I think they are in violation of FTC regulations as well.  Many of the law groups will not charge you to file suit but will take a cut of any damages awarded at a civil trial.  I think the FTC doesn't want to put more bite into the regulations, but wants to rely on private civil suits.  I think that is baloney.  I think the bottom feeding scum of this industry need to see jail time, especially if they pretend to be lawyers or policement or threaten you with jail.  There are no debtor prisons in the USA!  I don't owe anybody anything and I think they want info on a third party.  I have written the FTC about the type of phone call I have been getting and I think that third party calls should be made in person.  I want robocalls illegal except for police and fire departments/  I want autodialers licensed and regulated to only be sold to BONDED and LICENSED businesses.  I found out that many states do not even require bonds or licenses to set up a collection agency, and OH is one of them, where NES is located.  If you are an OH resident, please contact your state representatives about NES and its business practices as an example of how this industry needs some legislative changes.  Now all you folks on this page and others, don't take it any more.  FIle the complaints and get a lawyer, or quit your complaining.

This is harassment I have reported it to Gary locke at the Dept of Commerce and want this to stop now. National Enterprise System caller is identified  as Jim West.

I am with you on that.  I don't owe anyone anything and would love to slam this guy.  What is happening HAS to be illegal.

We get calls daily (for the last 6 months) say it is Jim West and he has an important business matter to discuss.  I have no idea who he is.

1-800-498-1798: Drew, you're not helping enough here. We need not only names but location. I for one don't owe anyone a dime and have no intention of calling them back for any reason. What we need is the location of this rouge operation so we can lean on the Attorney General of jurisdiction to put them out of business (And hopefully up the river for a few years). In many states what they are doing is elder abuse, and as a defender of the elderly I would love to see them swing from the legal tree.

I get these calls every night after 8 p.m.....2 of them, 10 minutes apart every night for weeks.  I repeatedly call and get a live body at the number it tells me to call (800-498-1798  Jim West).  Repeatedly I ask them to take me off of the call list (they are looking for my brother-in-law).  And they keep calling.  Today when I called them yet again, the guy told me I was a liar and they would keep calling me until I told them how to reach my brother-in-law (he is in Europe!!!), has no phone uses a calling card to call us.  WTF!!!!!  When the guy started threatening me I told him I would be filing a complaint with the FCC.....LOOKOUT!!! That really made him mad...I had to hang up on him.

I filed a complaint with the FCC today and I will let them know every single day how much longer this continues.

Anyone an everyone else should do the same.  They have an online form that takes just a couple of minutes to fill out.

One thing I may have forgotten to mention last time, in addition to getting information about your rights online, it?s always a good idea to do a bit of research on the actual collectoid mutts who are humping on your leg. (in our case, National Enterprise Systems) I just found the most heartwarming tidbit from the Charleston Gazette.  Seems the Ohio State Attorney General has really lost his patience with these scum and their tactics and late last month made it official by slapping them with a massive lawsuit! That subhuman vampire, Ernest Pollack who owns this zoo of bottom feeders is also listed as a co-defendant (Come to think of it, the automated calls to our number abruptly stopped right after the story broke, anyone else notice this?)
The story doesn?t seem to print directly off the screen, but you can mouse-scan it and copy it into a Word document with good results.  It?s going to make a great cover-letter to the Cease And Desist order I am about to serve these vermin with!  The article goes on to say that anyone else wishing to add their own online consumer complaint to the huge list already against NES is encouraged to do so.  Sounds like a party we could all go to!  No word yet if the feds might get involved in this one, but if so, it could lead to NES being shut down for good (We can only hope)
