AHMSI is the worst company ever. They are playing games with due dates, escrow accounts, and fees. They hold checks until they are past due to collect fees. They change escrow amounts after they send the statement and make them do on that statement. The Texas State Attorney General is suing them. Info: AUSTIN ? Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott today charged Coppell-based American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc. (AHMS) with using illegal debt collection tactics and improperly misleading struggling homeowners.

According to state investigators, AHMS collections agents used aggressive and unlawful tactics to collect payments from Texas homeowners who had difficulty meeting their payment obligations. The defendant also failed to credit homeowners who properly submitted their payments on time.

In other cases, AHMS agents falsely claimed that homeowners did not make payments so the agents could justify profitable late fees or escrow accounts. The defendant also failed to properly credit homeowners after AHMS agents withdrew funds from the homeowners? checking accounts.

Everyone needs to contact the Texas Attorney Generals office and file a complaint. If they are calling you and you don't do business with them please contact and file a complaint asap. Also everyone needs to file a complaint in their home state and with the FTC. These guys need to be shut down now before anyone else gets harassed.

I Have a rule in my house if they don't give there name we don't answer it...Or I just block it,with my phone company,If they don't want me to know who's calling then I don't want to talk to them,,If its important just send me a letter...

Have received a call each hour from 8:03 am until now 5:37 pm, will probably get more. No message left, when I did answer, no one was on the other end of the call.

Got called twice today (March 27 2009) on my cell phone.  Once at 8:15am and then at 2:20pm.  No messages left, no one on the line (probably an auto-dialer).  Obnoxious.

I got today 3 calls on my cell phone, one at work and one at home. I am not even behind I always pay within the 16 period day. These people are crazy... Don't answer!!!!

This is AMHSI calling.  They used to be Option 1, who evidently sold my mortgage to them.  They are relentless,  calling all times of the day, several times, even if you are not late.  Most of the time there is no one on their end if I answer it, and when they are there, they have information that I'm late, which I'm not.  There is no resolution with them.  They have asked me several times if I would like a loan modification.  I always answer the same way, yes, and they tell me they will send out the information.  They never, ever do.  You would think that the Attorney General's office would finally catch up with a company like this, but they never do.  If you are tied to them through your mortgage, don't answer their calls.  It's not worth it.

I get them too. Call 877-304-3100 when they answer ask for an US rep. They have to transfer you over to the US.
They have call centers in India and in Mexico.

They put us on a forebarance plan and now we are behind in mtg payments, waiting on a loan modification.

If it is American Home Mtg, call 877-304-3100.  When someone other than the English speaking people answer it, tell them you want to speak to a U.S. rep.  They have to transfer you to one.  I had the same problem and was in a forebarance plan with them and am now trying to get a loan modification. They are calling me every hour on the hour starting at 8 a m today 04/28/2011.  I was told that a rep from the modification dept would be getting in touch with me and they would leave a message if I couldn't answer the phone, or if I answered the would talk to me.

MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR A U.S. REP.

Total harrssment - call 7 - 8 times a day 6 days a week starting at 8 am even on Saturdays
Lately when I answer the phone they hang up  They have calling for 18 months now behind in my mortgage due to loss of income.  It takes almost 5 mnutes to understand that I am the one they are calling for  This harrassment is starting to effect my work, because of the constant every hour on the hour calls.

When I was lucky enough to get a very American clear english speaking service rep. It only tookk 2 months before that it was 10 months of we need this and we need that crap. Kind of reminded me of the lady that did not want to help the white farmer with a loan years ago.  I had to get a very clear very American sounding service rep to finally get it done for me.

Yourself and others with no loan with them need to do a credit check and see if anyone has your info and is using it.

you need to tell them that due to circumstances out of your control the payment will not be paid until, I do not know say the 29th and they can auto take out of checking account.  This works, then when you have the money, which you know you will have before the date you gave them, call and have them do the withdrawl then cancelling the other out.  Although i know  there is a fee it will make them stop calling at least when I was out of work and running a week or so late it worked and they did not call.

Indian call center for american home mortgage services - completely and totally useless individuals who read from a script and can not answer any questions if not on their script. Talking to them is a complete waste of time

just got 5 calls within a 6 minute period.  I answer and hear a click and then it disconnects.
This has happened all hours of the night and early morning before 7 am also!

I got my house refinanced also, and got a great rate.. through them... they keep calling, and I just ignore it.. maybe you all should get a new phone number if it bothers you so much...

Yes it is AHMSI crooks who have outsourced all their work.
State Attorney General in Texas had filed a lawsuit and I'm hoping to get Virginia to.
Since April of 2008, I tried to work with these nit wits and I'm in the industry.
Accountability starts in America.
