This phone number has been showing up on my caller ID at all hours during the day for several weeks.  If I happen to be home and answer they hang up.

I hate when they call you all different hours, don't leave a message and hangs up when you do finally answer.

Have been getting these calls as well. When they just hang up without talking, I suspect that they are confirming that yours is a working number.  I hate to think that they may be checking to see if someone is home.

These people call our house at least 3 times a day, usually more often....especially EARLY IN THE MORNING AND LATE, LATE AT NIGHT.  When we answer the phone, they hang up or there isn't anyone on the line. They do not leave messages.  Very frustrating and annoying!!!!

The best lead I've gotten was looking up a Reverse Phone Number on www.whitepages.com . According to them, the number belongs to a Mr. Alan Cruz, who is president of Empire Maintenance. Why they would be calling us, though, I have no clue.

I'm from Montana, too, so it's not just Wyoming now.

Got a call from these people asking for the previous holder of my number. I told them she isn't at that number anymore and they said "oh, so you're new?" and I said yes and they hung up.

Also in WY and received a call this afternoon from this number (no one was indoors at the time to receive the call). Also attempted to call back (from another line) and also received no answer. Given that this call was received on a Sunday, they are violating the law in any event.

I'm guessing that this is a professional telemarketing company (presumably a cut-rate one) that calls on behalf of professional organization charity clients (eg, Wyoming Highway Patrol Association).  If so, then they probably receive enough "bites" from their efforts to make continuing their sloppy operations worthwhile (after all, just how many people--save myself--say 'no' to things like scholarships for children of law enforcement officers, etc?).

Best to either not answer calls from this number, or to put it on blocking lists.  BTW, the Call Trace feature is really designed to prosecute criminally harassing calls from individuals, not telemarketing calls from companies or organizations.  I really don't see how it would be helpful (esp. at $1 a pop) in eliminating unwanted telemarketing calls.

Also in Wyoming. I answered. The guy asked for my husband, I said he wasn't home could I help him with something, he hung up on me. DOG!

Lady calls 4 or more times a day and will not stop.  Will not give her name.   Very tired of getting her calls.

I also live in Wyoming.  Tired of them calling.  Never answered it.  Went online to Bresnan digital and finally blocked them for good.

in wyoming here, too.....same story.  have't tried to call it back (especially since I read what everyone on this bulletin board said about them hanging up)....but, it keeps happening over and over , every day, all day for the last few weeks.

I also live in wyoming & this # has been calling everyday for about a week, they also hang up when I answer. After they call you can call *57 & this will issue a call trace by the ph co (if it is Qwest) there is a $1 charge but after the 3rd time you can call the 800 that is given to you when you call *57 & they will do something about it!

We live in Western Wyoming.  Have been getting calls from this number daily for a couple of weeks.  The caller ID says it is "Toll Free Service".  When we answer, there is a click, then a dial tone.  Called it back, and nobody answers.  Highly frustrating!  Any way to report them, or file some kind of a complaint?

(Also in Midwest.)Keep getting calls from this number, but they hang up the second you pick up the phone.  Tried calling it back and never any answer.

I finally answered this time. He said he was police fundraiser for kids. Perhaps he said IACPPO in Iowa, but he was talking really fast. I told him they should be more professional and put their name in the caller ID, and that I don't trust 800 numbers that don't ID themselves. He was nice about it and said he would take me off the phone list.

Iowa.  Have received a call from this number daily for the past 2 weeks.  I've got a whistle sitting by my phone for the next call.  But I doubt that will do anything but make my ears ring.

I have no idea. I too, live in the midwest. Think these idiots are a tracking service to see if you are the person at this number. Then they give the information over to some collector, who starts all over again.

It called and  I noted the number, didnt recognize it so let it ring and googled it.

Unwanted call.  Called my house and was very rude to my wife.  They asked for me and when she told them I wasn't home, just hung up.

We get calls from this number as soon as we hang up the phone if we answer it no one is there.  It gets very old.
