Ok - I understand that debts have to be collected and paid, etc etc. There are ways to handle this, though. I've been in some type of collections myself for 15 years and you DON'T have to harass people. I left companies who worked that way, BECAUSE they worked that way.
Now - this company is a harassing entity. They've called our offices everyday. Finally after almost a week they leave a voicemail. They can tell from our automated messages that we are not the company they're looking for.
When I call back to inform them of this and ask for them to quit calling - Angela White at extension 1360 - informs me that she found us on the debtor companies website! I explained that we have a loose affiliation with the company, but it is NOT our company. Not to mention the company they're looking for is in Australia!! It seems they were just being lazy (or didn't want to hike up their long distance bills). She asks me for their phone number, I give it to her - right off their website - and inform her she could have found the phone number the same way she found ours... on their website!!!! I told her this is not a joke, this is harassment and not how you should handle skip tracing. She got angry (poor little button) and started to argue. She seemed to realize quickly this was not the answer and told me to have a good day before she hung up loudly in my ear.
Get yourself some dignity!!! Karma is fun....

NOT A SCAM. LARGEST COLLECTION AGENCY IN THE COUNTRY
Mike 2014-02-20 21:14:03 Unknown
You can google Fair credit CEASE AND DESIST CALLING by creditors LETTER and fax it to them requesting only contact via mail. Doesn't releave of the debt, just the calls, and they are required by law to give you the fax number. If they call AFTER getting that letter, document it from your bill, tell them and sue them they will be in big trouble
Gunnar 2014-01-28 01:42:59 Unknown
No, there probably isn't. Just scare tactics. Post the return address on your letter. If you hear anything else from them, post it here. We dissect frauds here for fun. The regulars here are invariably well to do, have no outstanding debt & have absolutely no fear of debt collection agencies or of court rooms. We share a hatred of the fraudulent practices used by unethical and/or bogus debt collection outfits. We also have some of the finest researchers on the planet with us. If an agency is using fraudulent practices, we can expose them all the way down to their skivvies!
Live Well.

Gunnar 2014-01-28 01:21:36 Unknown
Really? Then you have all their information. Post it right here. Their physical address. The names of the plaintiff(s). The name of the judge that signed your paperwork. The summons number. The docket number. The name(s) and bar numbers of their attorneys. Anything that can be verified.
We'll be waiting.
Skeff Ett Liv!

Side note - Angela White called again today, recommends we close our store due to payables load. Well Angela, I can tell you have never owned a business...have to take the good times with the bad times. You were rude and gross and probably in need of a fix.

Got a phone call from a Mr McEntyre, stating he was a PI for for a retaining company called Coface CNA Inc. I never heard of them and he wanted me to call an 800 # and give them the claim number. he would be finished with his investigation by Friday. Sounds like a scam to me or a way to get business. I have had several calls in the past from Coface and when I answer they hang up.....

Left a msg stating to call Ms Jones a CCMA investigator following up on reported case #1546541. When followed up, it WAS not related to an investigation, but rather a former employees supposed debt.
It is not appropriate to leave a msg at a childcare center claiming to be an investigator-the msg mislead us into thinking that one of our children was at risk.

This number is calling my work cell number for a supposed debt for my employer. I can't get them to understand I am not part of AR/AP and can't give them the information they are seeking. Have given them the proper information and advised them to send a letter of this debt to our corporate office. Wish they would leave me alone as this isn't my debt, I've told them what they need to do and I am trying to work to pay my own debts. AARRGGHH!!!
Mick Taylor 2013-10-28 18:22:31 Unknown
They are attempting to collect debts in California, and the methods they employ violate both California Code and the Federal Debt Collections Procedure Act. There is a law firm in Northen California that specializes in bringing lawsuits against these inter-state operators. You should also be aware that mail fraud is a felony undr Title 18 of the United States Code. Report them to the FTC the State of California Attorney General's Office.
Mick Taylor 2013-10-28 18:19:22 Unknown
They represent a company called Dynasplint, which is under investigation by the United States Attorney's office in the Eastern District of Louisiana for allegedly submitting false claims for payment billed to the Medicare Program, and other federally-funded health insurance programs.

I was contact by Coface, My company has fallen behind on payments. You feel it is best not to speak to them, and wait till I get someting in writing.
Thank you

If they are calling a business about a businee debt the laws that govern consumer debt collections do not apply. In commercial collections there are no laws other then mis-represetation. If the original creditor furnishes the agency with a credit application they already have your company bank account information. Its best to pay the debt.

Received a call today from 800-509-6060 x1379 ladies name was Madeline Adams. Said she was calling from CCNA investigations. She wanted to know if my boss was available on his cell phone, told her good luck calling him as he was out of town and probably didn't have cell service. After reading all of these messages, I am going to warn my bosses that this might be a scam. Thanks everyone.

Hey stupid. Try spell check. It is a shake down bottom feeding firm that buys s*** assets and works to see if anyone is dumb enough to pay them.

I got a call from the same guy at the same company who said he was calling about a client and then took another call and left me on hold!
While on hold I googled the number and there you were with the same story!
Anyone ever hear what he wants as in money or anything?

Debt collectors. Dont give them any info over the telephone. If you cannot pay for an attorney google search how to beat debt collectors. It will take some time but I have defeated many myself for fraud debts or other that have already been paid.
These low lifes attack the uninformed and unprepared.

Mr. Paul investigator call my Husband about the investigation on our business. I am going to refer him to the attorney general and BBB. BBB complains are easy online. filed a complaint about another company calling my mother at my house and in one week I received an answer and they were told to stop.
