Called today, let machine take call - as soon as they got the answering machine they hung up

i answered and said hello, there was a pause they said hello and hung up immediately after.  Ive also had a large rash of blocked callers the past few weeks that do the same.  I almost never answer and i get about 3 calls a day, always hang up when they get voice mail.

They left a message on my answering machine saying due to recent activity on my mortgage acct I was eligible for a reduced fixed mortgage of 5.375 with no out of pocket expenses.  This is only good for 3 days and my underwriter is James.  call him at 800-477-0924 ext 1722

Answer machine picked up. Calls at least twice a day. Doesn't leave a message.

Called number back-answered as Discover

I answered because I knew who they were... some travel agency with Discover Card. But all I get is silence. Why even bother calling when you don't say anything or leave a message. They call several times a week.

Numerous daily phone calls from this number, sometimes late in the evening.  Who is it?

maybe these guys get money for making more calls? their calls get logged and just want to show the boss they are making enough calls?

They've called twice today.   They ask for me, as soon as I say that is who they are speaking to they hang up.

We haven't booked any trips, haven't used any rental car companies, haven't made any plane reservations - nothing to do with any sort of travel at all. However, my husband does have a Discover card. And, we are getting calls from this number - which I don't answer.

The FCC sucks!  Typical Govt. agency - too many employees, too many regulations, no enforcement and a total waste of taxpayer $$$s.  They do absolutely nothing if you contact them.

Discover calling yet again from a different number.  Once this card is paid, the account is gone!  They call daily.  Now I know where the profits are going!

They say I am from Discover card and you have $20 cashback balance. I want to verify your information. I think this is fradulant activity.

I kept getting this call 3-4 times a day and finally answered it and it was Discover Card trying to sell disability insurance on the credit card. I declined, but they continued to call every day up to five days later.

They just don't get it.....Stop calling!!!!!

Don't do what this person is suggesting. This is probably an old scam. They call you from a toll free number, then do not speak. You call back, trying to find out who this is. It's actually not Discover Card but a third party that know you own a Discover Card. You ask them to take you out of their calling list and they make you repeat your name, then say "I agree" (to be taken out of the list) and then repeat your address. Then they tamper with the recording of the phone call and compose a new recording with you in your own voice answering yes to a different set of questions that is all they need to get paid from Discovery or an insurance company for subscribing you to a payment protection service you don't need.

It belongs to Discover Card.  I would get a call and no one would speak up.  I just called them right now, they asked me for my phone number and name for verification and offered me a few services (payment protection, etc etc).  I declined.  And I requested them to take me off ALL they marketing lists (including phone).  They have confirmed that it will be taken off within 1 week timeframe and I will not be getting any more calls.

I suggest all of you do the same.  And I am guessing that all of you are Discover Card holders.  Ain't that right?

I received a call from this number today. Of course, they left no message, so I called the number. The person who answered said she was with Dicover Card customer service and went on to try to sell me a protection plan for my account. She was very polite when I asked her to remove my number form their calling list. I guess time will tell if she actually removed it.

well! after talking to this company and them telling me they would take me off their calling list, they called today at 10:51am So i am reporting them to the FCC since i am on the FCC do not call list.

I am SO SICK of this number showing up on my answering machine.  I finally answered it and told them to stop calling me.

Stop calling us!  You've called me repeatedly over the past several weeks -- don't you get it, I'm not interested in anything you are selling or marketing!

Called number back and Yes, it was discover card trying to sell a protection plan!!

This number calls my home 2-3 times per day everyday.  They stated that they are with Discover Card and wanted to know why I have not been using my card.  I contacted Discover Card to confirm and asked that they cease and desist immediately because I felt harassed.  Apparently they have a group of people that call credit card holders asking them to spend money using discover card.

i just realized that i booked a rental car with budget and while on the phone they hooked me up with an advantage card and promised me the world. So this number comes from budget rental. i advise dont book with budget or you will get marketing calls for the rest of your life.

i keeping getting calls from this company and i too was in orlando for vacation. i would like to figure out who gave them my number.

Been Getting calls from this number several times a day for over a year. hangs up when the answering machine picks up. Great to have Caller ID on our TV through the Cable company.
