Philip Drake from Consumer Assistance Corp left a message for me today regarding my credit card minimum payments going up and that I qualify for a 'debt reduction program' and that it was imperative that I call back at 800-511-8460.  Sounded like a scam.

A call came from a 'philip drake' (may have been a recording). Said that he was from the Consumer Assistance Corp. He said that it was 'imperative' that I call him to get into a 'debt reduction program'. He asked that I call 800 511-8460.

A Phillip Drake called and said it was "imperative" that i call him back concerning my 'debt reduction program'. It was a recording and i get it as often as 2/4 times a week. 18005115460.

This is a scam. Do not, I REPEAT, DOOO NOT give this guy any information. I had a voicemail on my machine today from them."Phillip" told me to call 1-800-842-8124, but it showed 909-842-8124 on the caller ID. After a bit of research, I found out that they are totally bogus.

I have recieved 5 calls on my work voicemail from Philip Drake.  I have called them back repeatedly to ask to be taken off theri call list or to speak with Philip Drake.  They usually hang up on my.  How can I get this to stop???

THERE IS NO WAY TO GET RID OF THESE ANIMALS.  WE'RE JUST WRITING AND COMPLAINING ABOUT IT BUT I GET CALLS TO MY TWO BUSINESS PHONES EVERY SINGLE DAY FROM BOTH CONSUMER ASSISTANCE CORP - PHILIP DRAKE AND CHRIS ST. JAMES FROM BROADCOM.  THEY'RE THE SAME COMPANY AND THE SCRIPT IS EXACTLY THE SAME.

BEST THING TO DO IS BUY A CHEAP WHISTLE AND EVERY TIME THEY CALL YOU, RETURN THE CALL AND BLOW THE WHISTLE IN THEIR EAR.  INCOMING CALLS FROM THESE IDIOTS IS A RECORDING BUT WHEN YOU CALL BACK YOU GET A LIVE DUMMY.

I've received a number of calls of this type over the past few months from various numbers.  It appears to be a prerecorded call from a template with the name, "business", and callback number changeable.  Keywords are "Debt Reduction Allowance Program" and "imperative".  The word "imperative" is a common codeword used by collection agencies.  Thus, I believe that the caller is not who he represents himself to be but is rather an agent of some collection agency.  Suggest not responding to these calls. MY CALLER ID SHOWS THE FOLLOWING NUMBER   702-520-1396. so far this person is being traced by the fraud FBI department.

I received a call from Phillip Drake stating he was with Consumer Assistance Corporation and that it was imperitive that I call him back regarding my credit card balances.  That the rates were going up.  That I qualified for a Debt Reduction Program.  I am wary of calling them back.  None of my credit card companies have called like this.  I usually hear from them in writing.  It feels like a scam.  I do not want it to continue.

My husband has been recieving phone calls from these people. I called them back  and they kept hanging up on me. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! When you ask to speak with their manager they just hang up. I called about 20 or so times. Each time that I called I recieved the same 1 of 3 people. This goes to show that it is a small in house thing by people that can barely speak english. I had a hard time understanding them when I called. I just hope that they can not get any information from my caller ID...do you think? has anyone called them back? I want this crap to stop. We are not in credit card debt...and we are not stupid enough to give them our information.

This person has been calling my Uncle who is 81 yrs. of age and claims he owes money on his credit card. He has no credit card. The number he left I called and there was no ring to it all at anytime I called. I finally called the phone co. to find out about this. He told me he has many of compliants on this and where to go on google to read more. Please don't be fooled by this scam. Yes he also said he was from the Consumer Assistance Corp.

Received 2 voicemails stating that i should call 800-511-8460 and that it was imperative

Yes, I took received the call from Phil at my office. Please note, the caller ID did show their Canadian phone number, (902) 520-1396. However, Phil left the (800)511-8460 number to return his call. The best post I read was to call back to check if Phil is okay. I did. When they answered, I said that I was calling to check on Phil and if he was okay and included that he said that it was imperative that I call him.

I've been recieving these harrassing calls from 800-511-8460 and 800-319-4934 and would like it to stop. Nobody answers when called so I can't leave a message.

I've received at least 6 of these stupid messages - work, home & cell phone.  Assuming they were a "somewhat" litigimate company, I called to ask to be removed from their list.  I'm sure anyone reading this page knows what happened next - the idiot hung up on me.

What's really imperative is that each of us file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission EVERY time we receive a call.

I have gotten the same calls at my place of work.  I work for a hospital/clinic orginization!!!  How annoying.  Anyone have an idea how to have this stopped?  I call back and they hang up on me.  They must be outsourced or based out of the country because every time I call the phone is answered by a foreigner.

It's a shame that there's nothing anyone can really do to prevent these calls from coming into our work.  Before this "worm" Philip Drake it was Chris St.James from Broadcom.  The script is exactly the same.  As with everyone else you can't get anyone to listen to you long enough if your complaining about the harassing calls because the bi*** hangs up on you.

Try calling the number back and when someone answers blow a whistle into the phone.  That will give them a deafening message.

I received a call from Phillip Drake today on my cell phone.  I did a reverse search on the number that came up on my caller ID (909)842-8124 and its a residential number based in CA.  However, on his message he left (800)511-8460 and gave me the same "imperative" BS.  Sounds like a scam to me, since all my credit cards are paid.

I have an 800 number that is one number off from this scam agency.  Apparently, one of their recordings has MY 800 number on it and I am getting angry phone calls for Phillip Drake.  I discovered his real number via this site.  I've called repeatedly to let them know to change their recording and everyone one who answers the phone now hangs up on me.

I wonder if it is related to broadcom at 1-800-210-2892? They had an "imperitive message for me twice now." They are also listed under other numbers on this site.

I just recieved the same call, costing me money to retrieve the voicemail on my cell phone. When I ask to be removed from the list they hung up on me, twice. JERKS.

I've been getting calls like this for over a year - about once a month - to my office answering machine  I just got one today, from a Richard Helm.  Same identical message each time, except that this time the company that he mentioned was "Transcon Data Corp" (usually it is Consumer Assistance Corporation) and the phone number was 888-471-9828.  I have never returned any of these phone calls.

I get calls from them all the time.  Called back & demanded that they remove my phone # but they said that the # I called them from was not the # they called me with.  Then he wanted me to give him my phone # again - why? If he obviously saw my # on a caller ID to say that they hadn't called that # ever then he obviously can retrieve my # from his caller ID system.  I refused to give him my #.  The caller ID shows me that the call comes from Canoga Park, California.  The # they say to call back is 1-800-511-8460.

Same call as the rest of you!  Phillip Drake says it's imperative, maybe I should call back and mess with them...what losers.

I've been getting the Philip Drake phone calls around 8:45pm every evening. He said it is "imperative" (2x during the message) that I call him back regarding my credit card balances and that the minimum payments are going up. He said to call 1-800-511-8460. Others have been phoning too but they don't leave names or numbers. My answering machine usually only catches "stay on the line while you are connected to a representative" before cutting off. Isn't there anyway to block these nuisances?

Phillip Drake keeps calling my office as well - and it really is a nuisance.  Tells me that he is calling in regards to my credit card debt and how the interest rates will be going up.  Told me to call 800-511-8460.  I get several of these calls not only from him, but from many others as well and I have posted comments on those numbers as well.  I have never called to see if I could get a live person, but they all seem way too fishy to me.

Have received 2 calls from them, one from Phil Drake and one from Connor Jenkins. Left messages on my answering machine. Have not called them as I had no idea why they called. Looked up Data Research on net, and found them on this site. Thank You! I'll try to block their calls!

10-19-07 I just a call from the Phil and it was not groundhog day, ;-), anyway and the supposedly "Consumer Assistance Corp".  how do we do stop these A*&Holes does any know ??
