Called Wachocia, number does not belong to them. Account phisher, DO NOT give out any personal information to said caller per Wachovia.

BE WARNED!!! this phone call has NOTHING to do with Wachovia!!! I have received dozens of calls from this number---hang ups every time, especially when i confront the caller--last one--when he asked for my last name, i replied "you ought to know, you keep calling me!!"  his reply--"have a nice day" and hung up.
I am reporting this number directly to Wachovia on their OFFICIAL 1 800 number!

Received 15-20 of these calls over the last week - never anyone on the other line.  Called them, said they were Wachovia.  I got as far as saying my name, and then when they asked for my phone number, I started to get suspicious.  I told them to forget it, when she said "we're going to keep calling you - it's Wachovia."  I hung up and looked this up.  Hopefully just my name isn't enough to get us into too much trouble - probably more spam calls though...

This number is tied to known scammers.  They have a target list with names and will only speak with the individual on the list.  Most of the hangup calls are because the wrong person answers the phone (usually a female).  In our case, the person who they had on their list had fallen for numerous scams before and is considered a good mark.  My wife could not get them to speak up, but when I answered and gave them the correct name, they asked me to make a payment on a Wachovia account.  They were ready to take my account information when I called them on the scam.  The individual was very calm and repeated all the personal information they had on record to convince me they had the right person.  He did not back down when I recited the litany of crimes he was committing by doing this.  They stopped calling for a while, but it has started up again.

It is a company called Focus Receivables Management and most likely a third party debt collector.

called the number back after 15+ calls to my home and cell phone. they said my account was delinquent but wasnt. they say their system is broken thats why the hang ups. they still keep calling afte 3 atempts to have them stop. no wonder they going under. good for them...i will be withdrawing my savings from them.

Been calling repeatedly for the past several days. Nobody replies when I pick up and they never leave VM. I don't have an account at Wachovia. I've blocked the number.

I just talked to somebody at this number. They are the collections dept. at Wachovia. If you have a loan through Wachovia and you are more than 3 days late with the payment, they start calling to "remind" you to pay it (sometime several times a day). The only info I gave them was my first and last name. They had my address and loan info.

The issue with the hang-ups when you answer is that their system is crap and most of the time cannot differentiate your voice from an answering machine or voice mail.

Gotten 2 calls from this number at work with no response at all. First time, they hung up quick. Second time, didn't hear anything and I hung up. How did they get my work number?

I continue to get calls from this phone number EVERY DAY-- no answer, dead air, or you get a "thank you for calling Wachovia, our normal business hours are....blah blah"  this time some chick picked up the phone and asked "how may i help you?" and i replied that i was calling to find out why you keep calling me!!??"  she hung up.

The 800 # is the same as posted 800-513-9984.  They've been calling several times a day for the past 4-5 days.  When I answer the phone, (& you can hear it's an open line)
they immediately hang up.  It's creepin' me out, BIG TIME!!! What do we do about this?!

Got an empty voicemail from this number on my business line. Sounded like wind or someone breathing on the phone. Lasted about 10 seconds.

I am so sick and tired of these calls coming twice a day now. Today it was twice between 8:00 and 8:30 am. Dead air. Yesterday I was a fool with no glasses and picked up the phone (not seeing the caller ID) and had the following argument with a man first, then a woman in the evening:
RE: Wachovia calls
May I speak to S?
No, but you can speak to me (wife).
Sorry be we don't have you as authorized on the account.
(GRRR!)

1st call - "Well then this conversation is over." I hung up.
2nd call - DITTO except I let it out, "This MUST be a fraudulent call, because we've been doing business with Wachovia for years and you should have the RECORD of my name as the administrator of this account. Our account is not only current and in good standing, but we pay more than the minimum balance. We do not accept SPAM!"
The caller would not budge unless I gave out husband's full name and info.

They are calling my business line, never leave a message and the call will not go through when I pick up.  I see they say Wachovia so what do they ask you?

Got a call from this number.  It was a message since I didn't answer saying to contact Chris Smith at this number as soon as I can.  When I call I just constantly hear clicking and then it just disconnects.  Weird!

I've gotten the 1-800-513-9984 calling several times a day for the past week.  Everytime I pick up its dead air.

Ditto...they call 6-8 times a day & there's dead air. When I call back they say Wachovia Bank but when I press '0' they something Focus.

The guy actually left his name.  He said it was Chris Smith.  No details in the message, but just to give him a call.  The phone number came through as resticted, but he left the phone number 800-513-9984

Keep calling with nobody on the line. Has happened for 4 days now.

Call 4-5 times a day for past week.  When I pick up, they hang up.

When I picked up the phone and said "Hello" they hung up. Very creapy. Got the same response w/ a call yesterday, but the # was different, it was 800-632-2857.

Caller said they were calling from Wachovia Bank to verify bank account information
