I have caller ID and I am getting multiple calls from 800, 877, 757 numbers. They never leave a message. I am on the Do Not Call List and find this really annoying.

I got a call from that number and it was a lovely young girl that wanted to take me out for dinner. That is actually not true at all - it was Qwest. You can imagine my disappointment.

Qwest calling to confirm installation service, probably shows "toll free" because I would bet they contract those calls out to a 3rd party to save money rather than doing it in house.

Why would Qwest not want people to know they were calling? If it's legit business and they actually want to talk to you - seems like they'd complete more calls by displaying "Qwest" in the CallerID window instead of "TOLL FREE". I don't know other folks with CallerID - but I don't answer "TOLL FREE" calls - why would I want to talk to the telemarketers usually associated with "800" numbers?

I was getting these calls too and decided to call them and it was QWEST making a confirmation call. I had just placed an order to change service. Hope this helps others.
