Received a message that I won a 2013 Dodge Durango and to call 800-401-1639, which, out of curiosity, I did.  I spoke with Debbie Jean.  She had my name, phone number and address and stated that, at some point, I had entered this contest, up to 1 year ago, either at Home Depot, Bass Pro, Sams Club, etc., etc., etc.  I let her read me her "script" including the part about the call possibly being recorded.  She then verified some information that I had checked on the form.  Prizes are as follows: A 2013 Dodge Durango or $25000.00 cash, $2500.00 cash, a trip for 2 to somewhere, or a mini laptop.  She then proceeded to tell me that the trip is provided by RNG Discount Travel and that I needed to take my claim number (which she gave me) to a 60-90 minute presentation (she did not say presentation) where I will receive a scratch off ticket to reveal my prize, and she gave me the times of those presentations and asked me to pick one.  I told her I would have to consult with my husband, because this sounded like a scam.  She "assured" me it is not a scam, just a way for this new travel company to market themselves.  Every 60-90 minute presentation I have ever sat through, they were trying to sell me a time share!

Hi all - if you answer the phone for this scam - at least place them on hold if you can and walk away from the phone. This will tie-up their lines helping them lose money - as they are making several of these calls. So, their game is volume - which means placing them on hold will decrease how many calls they put out there. If 100s of people do this they will cut back on this type of bull$h1t. At least in your area code / community.

CHECK WITH THE CAR COMPANY TO SEE IF A SWEEPSTAKE TRULY EXISTS BEFORE GETTING EXCITING. USUALLY, THE CALL WILL SAY THEY ARE WITH THAT COMPANY IF YOU ARE A WINNER.

There is any office with a # or official site to report this kind of rip-of's.
I bet some pore sole fall victim to this son of b.....
Someone should find them and give them a first price with a good durango, then send them to Mexici City's back alley on vaction.
By the way far more effective cure: bring back the good old laws of the west: hang them high in public from a 2013 Doge Durango, that will stop them from hurting any one.

I get the same message today 1-23-2013.

If the prize is over $5K they would have had to register it with the state of FL and NY -I can try and do some research on that to see if there is any validity to this. I requested a set of rules so we'll see if i get that.

8:30 am, 18 Jan 2013. Called this morning, advised I won a Dodge Durango. I too was asked to call 800-520-2996, that it was in my best interest to call back. I guess now I won't.  I play many sweeps on line so I thought maybe, just maybe, it was on the level.

Carol Sanders called today to say we won a prize in the 2013 Dodge Durango, Cool Car, Cold Cash, Couples give away.  A lot of good the Do Not Call Florida List does.  I let the answering machine play secretary and then I googled it.  Just what I was thinking...a scam!

I have received a message yesterday from 1 877 518 6953 stating I had won a Dodge Durango.  Received another call today from 1 800 520 2996 stating I had won a Dodge Durango.  I am also on the no call list for Florida.  These people need to be stopped!  The laws these days are to protect the thugs, not the victims.

Scam call. No contest entered.

Didn't recognize the number, so I sent it to voice mail. No message. If they call back and tell me I've won fabulous prizes, and ask for my status, I'm telling them I'm a lesbian living with my life partner (not true on either count, but I want to hear their reaction.)

Definitely not the real NRA.

I doubt very much that this is the actual National Rifle Association calling.

Got a call from this number, telling me I won a Dodge Durango, and to call back.  So I did.  Turns out it was the NRA asking if I had guns.  I said yes.  They asked how many.  I said seven.  They asked if I was afraid for my life at times.  I said yes.  They said that the answer was MORE GUNS!!

Just got a call from them today around 2:30 p.m. saying we won a dodge durango a 2013 model. its a scam as they ask for your s.s. number.

I got these call as well and just hung up.  But if you have to be married or be living with someone, that sounds like a timeshare scam to me.  Can anyone confirm?

I received a message to call this number to receive a prize I had won in the Dodge Durango Cold Cash Couples Giveaway. The rep said I had entered a contest within the last year probably by internet.  I was told by the rep that I was guaranteed to win either a new Dodge Durango, $2500 in cash, a trip, or a new laptop.  When asked about my status, I responded that I was a widow.  The man apologized for my loss and indicated that I was disqualified; I had to be either married or living with a boyfriend.  I hung up the phone and cried.  How awful.  Now that I know it is a scam...I feel much better.  Beware of anything which sounds too good to be true...

Caller said to call this number to claim prize...a Durango. Please stop this scam.

Top winner in 2012 Dodge Durango cool car cold cash contest. Suggested that I call back this number as soon as possible. I am feeling this is some kind of scam, sounded to good to be true.
I typed in the name of the contest and I found a bunch of messages about this being bogus.
