Sorry. Used to work for Xentel- sure beat being homeless. Sorry, your tactic is wrong. (No need to be so clever.) The time lag happens when the auto-dialer takes it's own sweet time connecting the caller to the call. (Drives Xentel workers nuts- they HATE that. Makes them sound like, well, telemarketers.) Your tactic will get your call tagged no answer/not pitched, and you will likely get more calls. SPEAK to the caller- tell them Not Interested- why on Earth would they waste another call on you? Better yet, tell the caller, politely, but firmly, to please remove this # from his list and then ask them for the ELEVEN-DIGIT CONFIRMATION #. They'll know that your're wise to them, and they definitely will remove you- the last person they want to talk to is somebody who is hip to them. Warning: this won't take you off of everybody's list. so you'll have to keep it up for a while. Whatever you do, don't donate- that will REALLY get you callbacks. (Note; most of the outfits that Xentel fundraises for are good outfits- AmVets, VFW, American Legion. Ever consider donating directly? Nah.)

Just received a call from the Calgary Police Service and when I told him I didnot want to be called with these calls he was annoyed and said he did not want to call me anyway.  Would take me off the list.  So we will see!  I called the number back and lodged a complaint!

If it is "Old timer hockey", they are not doing themselves any favours by hiring a company to bother my boss at work and to refuse to leave messages with me.  Plus, if we wanted to donate or to be a part of something, we wouldn't go through a middle-man who skims off the top of the donation!!

If it isn't them, then someone's scamming it.

Either way, not good PR.  What part of being available to customers when they call and NOT harrassing them when they don't want to talk to you do companies not understand?

the change in name from Xentel to iMarketing would correspond to the time when they got bad 'press' after being fined a lot of money for their illegal practices. Now doesn't that just tell you something about this company?

Sorry Amanda, but you have been scammed!

It is not the Oldtimes hockey assoc. It is an organization called Xentel - they say they are Oldtimers hockey (or firefighters organization, or 'Canadian Police Service' or whatever ....) and they want you to donate to them. However, what you are really donating to is Xentel owner's elaborate lifestyle - not any charity. They have been given hefty fines but apparently, it hasn't made any difference - unfortunately, because many people believe them and make donations.

One way to help to kill Xentel is to complain to whatever organization they say they are representing.

These criminal creeps have called me 4 times in the last 2 wks - since I know who they are I don't answer. But they are persistent boogers. Today I picked up and yelled much *$F&^ at the caller (it was a robo dial and took a minute for them to figure that someone was there). I know it won't last..next time they pretend to collect money for hockey, police, firefighters, etc etc etc etc, they will call me again.

This organization presents itself as a fundraiser....but it is mainly fundraising to support Xentel's owners elaborate lifestyle and to pay big fines imposed by courts for their criminal activities.

NEVER, NEVER give them any money and don't let them abuse or scam you. They are the scummiest people on this earth. If they say they are collecting money for oldtimers hockey, they use a woman or older operator. If they say they are collecting money for police or firefighters, they use a brisk sounding male operator (making you think the police or firefighters are actually calling you....and if you don't donate, they get nasty, making some people fear recriminations from police and fire services). Really scummy, right?

Just call block numbers you don't want to hear from. If your service provider does not provide call blocking, maybe their part of your problem.

It's time that they understood what abuse is like.

Send the Charities using this company these names and insist that they fire them and find another way of raising funds that do not include these people or their tactics.
Boycott the Charities until they help us stop these miserable no goods.

Here is a piece of the press release regarding iMarketing and the CRTC.

Press Release Source: iMarketing Solutions Group Inc. On Saturday December 18, 2010, 4:41 pm EST

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 18, 2010) - iMarketing Solutions Group Inc. (iMSG) (TSX VENTURE:XDM - News) signed a voluntary settlement agreement with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regarding complaints related to the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules (Rules). This settlement is an Administrative Monetary Penalty in the amount of $500,000 and resolves any outstanding complaints filed with the CRTC as of December 17, 2010. All complaints arose from calls made by iMSG's benefit events marketing business and campaigns for non-profit organizations that are not registered charities.

Send email every day, over and over and over, to the Charities that use this company, demanding that they fire them. Send the same email every day, five times a day, until they get the message. When the press gets wind of this, iMarketing's Stock Price will start to drop.

Once you have written the email demanding the Charity quit their association with iMarketing, copy and save it, and send it every day. Send the mail until their computers can't take it anymore. If you know a hacker, have him set up a program to flood iMarketing computers with useless mail until they fry.

Stop your donations to any Charity that uses this company or any company that uses technology and tactics like these guys do. The Charities will recover. Make sure that iMarketing Solutions Group Inc., and companies like them don't. It's time they learned what it's like to be abused in the way we have been.

Regarding the abuse we receive from this company and others like them. They are on the Stock Exchange, and it's time we bankrupted them.

This is a site reporting the Fiscal Year End Results of "iMarketing Solutions Group Inc."

You can bet that their accountants are very good at keeping the money they haul in and crying crocodile tears about how hard it is to make a living. (believe me, they wouldn't be doing this if they weren't making a LOT of money)

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - iMarketing Solutions Group Inc. (formerly Xentel DM Incorporated) (TSX VENTURE:XDM - News) -

iMarketing Solutions Group Inc. (Formerly Xentel DM Incorporated) Signed a Voluntary Settlement Agreement With CRTC

NOTE: This company doesn't care about having to pay this fine ($500,000) because the business is so lucrative to them.

They are a PUBLIC COMPANY operating in the TSX VENTURE Stock Market. They don't care about kids or charities or you. They care about profits for "them".

We need to flood the Charities that this company uses to make a living and tell them in no uncertain terms that we will boycott and block and refuse to support any charity that uses this company. (Or any other company that uses the technology tactics that this company uses)

We the public need to seriously put the squeeze on Charities (sorry, it has to be done) and insist that they fire this company that harasses us without fear. (iMarket Solutions, previously known as Xentel DM Incorporated)

We should find the addresses of the people running this business and flood their lives with endless amounts of something like manure until they quit the business. They should really be made to pay for their uncaring abuse of us.

If it takes shutting down every Charity in the country for a week or a month, so that they finally get the message, so be it.

Flood every Charity you can find with email and paper mail and phone calls and faxes, telling them that if they are using this company, and don't immediately agree to stop using this company, all donations will stop, starting today, until such time as the Charity finds another way to ask us for donations which will not include this kind of harassment.

Flood these Charities with email demanding the outing of the executives and dissolution of this company. Inform Newspapers and Journalists of our actions. Do this relentlessly. Make this a news story.

Destroy their viability on the Stock Exchange. Make their stock price drop until they are bankrupt.

Here is a press release regarding this company and their dealings with the CRTC. They don't care. They care about money. Not your kids. Not your illness. Not you. Not the Charities. Destroy these no goods once and for all. Bankrupt them.

If you are in the area of their offices and feel like starting a graffiti campaign on their windows, by all means: Start the Art.

This organization has recently reprogrammed their computers to react to busy signals, by hanging on to the phone number in question and continually calling it in a completely aggressive manner, using an escalating repeat call algorithm, hoping that they will catch the person who is supposedly currently on a call.
Today, I had to completely disconnect my phones from the wall to stop the harassment.
Here is an example of calls I received today: (11 calls before I pulled the plug) Time between calls: 56min  3min 2min 2min 1 min 1min 1min 1min 1min 1min.
I had a phone which blocked their calls by transmitting a busy signal. Now they have decided to institute this unbelievable hostile action. These good for nothing morons are completely at war with us.
I checked my phone for calls yesterday while I was away and found the same aggressive tactics in the memory, which has the effect of rendering my phone useless for the use for which it is intended, which includes potential emergency calls or messages from family and friends.
I would like to see some hacker attack this organizations computers and shut them down daily until they get the idea that they are not the smartest people in the world. This is when we need a hacker. We should put together a prize for the hacker that saves us from the harassment we get from these no good so and so's.
