A few weeks ago I received a call stating my name, lee harper of the nielsen company and to call 800-528-4701 ext.54. The voice recording is identical to the one I received two days ago. I called last time and got no answer. I won't be calling again as this is a shady scam! I hope these people get caught and FAST!

Received a voice message from a female to call Lee Harper at the Neilsen Company.  The number was 877-836-1052 x86.  Will not return call since no other information was given

On Friday Oct 5th at 09:11 am Pacific Coast Standard Time I received a call from an unknown number.  A woman by the name of Lee Harper left a message saying that she was calling on behalf of the Ball Company. She left a phone number 1-800-528-4701 Ex 36 for me to call back.  I never called back because my gut told me that something was fishy so I never called back.  She never stated why I needed to call back and never said what department she was from.  I looked on the Ball Company Web site and neither the number nor the name was listed.  Somehow they have gotten through or around the no call list.  There must be a way to shut this operation down.

A Lee Harper continues to leave a message in my voice mail or with our receptionist.  When I call back to 800-528-4701 is just rings and rings and I can't get to x25.

I received a voicemail from a man (sounded like an older gentleman) who identified himself as Lee Harper from The Nielsen Company. The extension he left for this number was 25. He spoke clearly, but his message was choppy...like he wasn't quite sure what to say. After researching the number/company online, I aksed our receptionist if she remembered the call. She said the gentlemen was asking about resubscribing to a magazine, but she couldn't remember which one. He didn't ask for me by name, she just assumed that call would go to me.

Message left: My name please call lee haper at number, Ex. 436. I called and phone rang for 7 or 8 time. got no answer.

Also got a message from a woman going by the same unisex name,Lee Harper. Said she was with the Neilson Company and gave ext. 52. I have no plans to return the call.

at work, Male Caller left a voice message from Lee Harper with the Hanley Wood Company, left this number and ext. 1442, when I attempted to  return the call, the line simply rings 8-9 times, then disconnects. After reading the above, i would say this must be a scam artist at work, and don't return the calls.

Call from Lee Harper with Crane Company at 800-528-4701 x415. Left no message as to purpose of call. I will not respond.

Got a call from 800-528-4701 x12438 also, male voice said thet were with the Crane Co. Will not respond!

Today a rough male voice left a voicemail message asking me to call Lee Hartford or Lee Harper (hard to understand) of the Nielsen Company at 800-528-4701 ext 25. I called the number, it rang for quite a while and then a male voice very similar to the voice that left the voicemail asked very quickly, "Extension please". As soon as I said 25 the line went dead. I called back and it just rang and rang.

The only three things I can think someone would gain from this strange maneuver are:

1. Trying to expose direct phone number behind an 800 forward. We publicly post our 800 number but not our direct lines. Caller ID of my callback and my provision of the extension number they left could provide the link.

2. Trying to verify a phone number, e.g. direct marketer buys list of phone numbers and then calls them to verify they work.

Also Received a voicemail at work from Lee Harper but didn't recognize the name and wasn't expecting a call. Company she claims she was from this time is Nielsen Company.

.........received a voice mail message from Lee Harper (female) all chipper and happy; her call came from an unknown number of which I do not normally answer.  She said that she was from Summit Media but after reading their profile on the internet I see no reason to return the call as well as reading the reports above I see it would be a waste of my time.  Thanks.

hmmm... this number called a few times and left garbled messages... called them back this morning and it was for AUTOMOTIVE NEWS Magazine (which i subscribed to in the past) they must out-source to a tele-marketing company (ext. 436)... just wanted me to re-sign with them

I also received a call from this number Lee HArper- REed Company, but phone not identified as a business for return calls? Is this a telemarketer

call made to my work number. from a Lee Harper company? the name was not clear at all. extension given as 12438. don't know who it is and will not call back.

appeared to be some type of marketing call
