This is USAA. Specifically their credit card department.

It was the Computer Merchant. Received my resume and wanted to talk.

It's USAA's credit card department.

It's USAA collections. Hey, if you're late and are unable to make regular monthly payments, don't pay unless you speak to somebody and get something in writing that verifies your payment of "x" amount will be applied to your account. Also, if you're really late, and there's a possibility that you'll never pay, - any payment you make resets the "clock" with regard to how long they can chase you and how long that bad debt stays on your credit. That's one reason some debt collectors work so hard to get any amount out of you, because they can restart the clock, and chase you longer. The older the debt, the more likely they'll accept a small amount just to show "good faith." They're just resetting the clock.
If they're calling on a land line you may be able to go into your account and block the number. Depending on your service, some services allow you to block 5-10 numbers without a fee.
If they're calling on your cell - add them to your contact list and assign that contact a "no ring" ring tone. That way all you'll hear is the "missed call" beep.

Oh, I feel your pain! I am in the same boat. They just don't give up. Even when I pay them what they ask for, they still want more. Its borderline harassment.... Plus, they haven't credited my account the last 3 payments that I made online!

So should I not buy groceries this week? Or maybe not pay my power bill? Oh, I know...I'll let the rent slip, the landlord won't throw us out....
I cut the card up over 2 years ago...I pay when I can but when you've got kids it's not your first priority. When my husband goes back to work I'll pay them more. I've told them this. What more do you suggest?

It is USAA calling about your past-due credit card bills! Pay the minimum and they will not only leave you alone, but your credit rating won't suffer due to your negligence.

They keep calling to no avail. Calls will not be answered.

More calls from this number. Never any messages.

They call multiple times daily and never leave messages. Since they can't say who they are or what they want on voice mail, they must have something to hide.

I have received several calls--never answered. They always say "this is USAA calling about an important matter. Please return call etc". I believe this is a debt collector and not actually USAA. I plan to follow up with USAA since I believe this is misrepresentation.
