I was looking into peak service as a new employer for a job awhile back (I never actually worked with them) but I can tell you a few things since I previously worked as a repo agent:

1) them leaving a card on your door/car/window/property is legal. It is a way for them to get in contact with you. Sometimes they aren't out to repo your car, they are asking for you to call in to speak with one of their team investigators so they can speak with whomever the bank is trying to reach. You have to realize YOUR BANK is the one that has hired them. And if you currently don't have an auto loan, call the phone number, reference the case # they give you, and tell them they have the wrong person that's all. Nothing illegal, it's a simple correction, and they'll never bother you again.

2) I can guarantee they never stole anything. I heard that s*** every day. I have worked for 4 repo companies (and trust me drivers are brutally honest with each other if things get damaged/go missing etc etc.) Not 1 single time has anything been stolen out of a car. I've had customers call and say that I PERSONALLY have stolen something since I repo'd it. That's b***s*** because I've never stolen anything. I've been accused of stealing everything from guns, to money, to wallets, to car speakers, even to women's underwear (I don't want that nasty s***!)

3) the website : http://www.budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/peak_financial.htm - this goes to peak financial in Arizona, not Peak service in NJ. Peak financial has many many unfair practices from what I understand, but that has nothing to do with the Peak Service in NJ. Fawkin Idiots, I swear to god.

peak service corporation actually repo my car bc i missed a coulpe payments and they stole a vallet from my car with cash credit carts and passport in it.and the people that works there discusting

There is no "James Kenney". It's actually a ficticious name used by Jerry Farese - one of partners of Peak Services - a repo company.

Got same situation -- Very Scary - Cards left at my house door at two occassions - Today it was by my car window at work not home - My car payments are on time and I called them 3 times had a voicemail with the name James Kenney  - Dont know what its all about ... Door bell rung about 5 or 6 am this morning i wasn't getting out of my bed on a Sunday to answer it. There was a card taped to my storm door from this guy. I had no idea who it was and Google the company's name and seen it was a repo company. I don't have any car loans my vehicle is paid off then u came across these postings and decided to call the police and file a report. Roo many home invasions these days. Why are you at my door 5 am on a Sunday morning? I left them a messege letting them know i called the police. Scary

i just got a card on my car this morning from The peak Servie corp with no name just a number and case number i heard a knock on my door ar 5 am but dismissed it considering we live in an apartment complex. we did just buy a car but it is paid everyone month... this is kind of creepy. 888-999-0699 was the number on the card no name... it's kinda weird

I had a similar situation yestsrday. When I got home, there was was a card taped on my door with James kenney's name. Don't know what it's about.

I have no idea who called me.

The same thing happened at my home this morning. My wife was heading out to take the kids to school and founds cards on my car in the driveway and my front door. Like you, we don't posses any auto loans of any kind. I tried to call the number back but the phone continued to ring.

Have you heard anything since he left the card?

I came home at 10:30pm on 2/23/11 to find business cards stuck in the doors of my car from "The Peak Service Corp." with the name James Kenney, Investigator on the card. I don't have any car loans of any kind. Concerns me that this guy was wandering around my property at night with my wife and kids in the house. When he returns, he WILL BE ARRESTED !!!!

about 3 weeks ago i had some cards left at my house with this number on it, I didn't know what it was so i never called, turns out it was for a repo, which had been sitting in my driveway for a month waiting for someone to come pick it up. i had my truck in the driveway and i told him i would move the car behind it out of the way and give him the keys but he decided to run over my lawn and pick up the back of my truck when i went in the house, he missed a sprinkler head by inches!!! then almost hit me when i ran outside to tell him to get off my lawn!!! he stopped in the street and i threw my keys at his truck, while i was looking at my lawn he took off. he was a tall kid with short hair, kinda dopey looking driving a black truck with the number 1 on it for #1 idiot!!
