getting calls from 800-536-1584 to a phone that NO ONE knowns the number of....therefore I know the caller is not known to me.

They just called my cell phone.  Asking for a Shannon Woodstock.  Very important, about payment and have not received anything since January, and can work something out.  Said they were with Bank of America.  I'm not a Shannon, I've not used BoA in over 30 years, and I've had this cell number for a couple of years now.  It's a sure SCAM.  Beware folks.

I just recently started getting calls from this number but no one leaves a message. It occurs usually in the evenings. It's very annoying and I wish I knew how to block it from my cell phone.

Called and went through about half a dozen names, to which my answer was 'there is no one here by that name'. The guy got very snarky with me, then demanded I tell him where they were. Uh. You're asking for people who I don't know, and then demand that tell you where they are? Not going to happen. I asked to have the number removed from the system and he laughed and hung up.

They called and hung up before telling who they were, also wont leave message so I had no choice that to block them

Call came from unknown location to Kansas at 08:50-J on 4-14-2014. Call not answered and no message left. Caller ID said "Toll Free Call". Others report debt collection, others faced credit card pitches. Regardless-- unload.

this nbr keeps calling me ...let it go answering service... there is no msg.. so I figured it was a harrassing or scam.I will not answer any calls that does not display a name.

I keep getting calls from this number almost daily in the early morning and late evenings.  No one is on the line ever.  The calls will not stop.

I receive atleast 2 to 3 calls a day from this number.  They never leave a message and I just wish it would stop.

This number calls and waits for the whole message (which includes the phrase 'we are screening out calls', then hangs up at the end of the message. Has anyone tried the 'blocked call' service?

Constant calling at all hours (800-536-1584), I don't pickup. I let my answering machine accept these callers/messages/hangups. At bedtime I have to shut down my phones in order to not be awoken by these and other callers of similar nature. I called # back and their automated said they were FIA, but it may be connected to Bank of America.

For the last several weeks, I've received multiple calls a day from this number. They leave no message, however, once I did answer the phone and spoke to a woman who said her company works with Bank of America. She then said she needed to confirm some information with me before continuing. She said she had my social security number in front of her and needed to confirm I was the person she was trying to reach. I asked her to tell me the number she had but said no, that was a security issue. Are you kidding me? No way would I provide personal info to someone I don't know who calls out of the blue. The calls continue but I don't pick up.

I just received a call and unfortunately I provided the date of birth and confirmed my address to them. They woke me up from deep sleep. So What kind of issues may arise and whom to consult after this incident??

THIS IS A SCAM!! They wanted me to tell them my date of birth, credit card number........ I didn't tell them anything.  I put them on the do not call list.

I'm not late making payments, so I don't understand why they keep calling...but I was recently denied a credit increase on another card due to "collections," which I need to look into because I'm not aware of any bills going to collection.

The odd thing about this is that when I've answered, there has been NO response, it simply hangs up. When I let it go to voicemail, the message begins and ends "...security department..." Very strange.

It's Bank of America. I am on their payment plan and the payment plan expired, so they were calling to renew the payment plan for my BOA credit card.  They'll work with you to set up an agreeable and doable payment plan.

They have been calling my  cell phones asking for my personal information. I just hang up on them.

This is a valid #. They are a collection arm of BOA. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBNA. I missed a small part of my payment last month and assume that's why they are calling. However, I will not give any personal information to someone who calls me.

Legit number, collections for FIA card service, had overdraft on checking account, they couldn't draft payment and number started to call. I would pick up and hear a couple of clicks and then nothing, I would then hang up. After checking this site I dialed number and got FIA Card Service. Being very skeptical and with great caution between the agent and I, found out and verified they are legit. The clicking you hear is the computer auto dialing and switching you to a available agent.

No one picks up.  The government can't find this out?  The NSA taps our calls and they can't do anything about this?

1-800-536-1584 is a real credit card number. They called to find out when they are going to get a payment.

This has happened to me twice before with the same phone number. Both times I was overdue for on my BofA credit card. After about a week, I started getting calls every day. They usually don't leave a message but when they do, it's a recording simply saying to call back. I've never actually cooperated with them over the phone but as soon as I pay my BofA credit card through BofA official phone number or website, the calls stop.

It's a weird number and their behaviour is sketchy. If you're uncomfortable like I was, just pay your BofA stuff off right away and the calls should stop.

Four messages a day... every day.. even Sundays around 8:45pm. Left a threatening message... "Heather. Im leaving you a message so uou better answer me!" ....... If they call me one more time, I'm suing!!!!!

Do not call this number.  Harassment is against the law.

any collector that threatens you is a scam because its against the law to threaten you least in my state it is. Report them to the attorney generals office.
