I'm getting these calls too from this number 800-543-5788. They call every day. I answered once to ask them to stop calling. I said hello, hello, hello? And a woman's voice said hello, hello, hello? and then hung up. Total nuisance.

They may do as you say but when they call and you call back and give them your name and that this is your number they may apologize but they will sell your name and number as a VERIFIED person worth much more than just a list of names VERIFIED names sell for big bucks especially if u are gullable and give them more free info saves them HUNDREDS of dollars at calling phishing for info.

Why do we need the Government to look into this scam, they are probably responsable for part of it. Too many people look to the government to fix their problems. I have yet to see any government fix that has not become a downfall for the American people. How about doing the homework and fixing it yourself and quit relying on government to help. They are there to protect the borders and keep our country safe thats it. Everything else is supposed to be hands off.

I had an outstanding bill with Time Warner that I had thought was taken care of, only $56. I kept receiving calls from this company but do not answer calls that I do not know, when I called back to see who it was it was a credit management company. I figured it was the wrong number but then received a letter in the mail saying the account was turned over to them. I did not want to go through a third party company so I right away sent the money into Time Warmer themselves. When I called the number back to let them know they kept on harassing me saying that they were going to keep contacting me because I didn't send my money into them and now it was going to take over 30 days to process and would now go on my credit. I told the woman that I was not worried about it and that I did not owe their company anything. 5 days after I had sent my check into Time Warner it had been processed and taken care of, my balance was even marked paid in full with the credit company....just wanted to share this so that no one else gets harassed by them and that you should send your money into the company you owe money to. DO NOT LET THEM TALK YOU INTO SENDING MONEY TO THEM! THEY WILL THREATEN YOU FOR THEIR OWN SAKE TO COLLECT THE DEBT!

These people are legit however like most credit agencies they do not have any idea really whom they are contacting, they just know that the reason they are calling you is that their costomer has decided that your bill is very past due and needs help collecting is you get a call from them with your name and you feel the collection is an error you have to call the company that placed you in collections to settle the issue the debt collector cannot do that for you.

This guy's name is Kevin M Rash...Somehow his picture & name popped up on my phone after receiving a call from him.  I guess it was linked through Facebook.  Either way, I think he is a 'debt collector', but on his facebook page has Credit Management, Inc. (The CMI Group) all over it & something about auto dialers.  This has to be a scam!!!  I have no debt & have no clue who this guy is, but I have had my number for several years, and no calls until recently.  *****

NEVER GIVE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO A DEBT COLLECTOR!!!  ALWAYS ASK FOR SOMETHING IN WRITING FIRST!!!

***If they want you to verify YOUR address, DON"T do it!  They are calling you, they should have that info.  If he continues to call & harass you, report him to the Attorney General of your state & the FTC.

I don't believe this is a debt collector.

My 19 year old son keeps getting calls from this number on his cell phone. He has no debt. He is a senior in high school and he works 30plus hours a week. He lives at home, and all of his bills are covered (he contributes by giving mom and dad money). Also, if this was a debt collector they would leave a voice mail asking for a return call to settle the debt (mother-in-law works as a debt collector).

I'm not sure who this is, but I suggest just ignoring it in case it is a scam.

My mothers phone just got a call from this number. They said they were VXI and rudely hung up. This number is under my name since 2004 from at&t and I gave it to my Mom in 2005. I still pay the bill on it (since its my cell account) but its has not been my phone since, well since 2005. My baby brother was borrowing the phone when the call came in today. They were rude to him asking for me, when my brother told them that he was not me they became hostile. He asked them who they were and why they were calling my Moms phone and they said they were looking for Ted, not my Mom and were calling from VXI and then hung up without answering any more questions from my borther. So, I thought maybe it was from that VXI company that makes Bluetooth Headsets since I owned many of them in the past but now coming here I am not sure what to make of it. Seems like they just dialed a random number.

I assume it must be a scam as no one here owes any money and my parents are well off and have never been late on a payment of any kind in over 50 years. Glad to see there is a place to go to find out who called you.

This company or whoever they are have been calling me for over a year. I moved from my old place and that is when the calls keep coming. My answering machine is always on but they never leave a message or if they leave a message, they'll just say, please call this number - 800-543-5788. This is harassment.

This number will not stop calling me, and I got mad because they called me every day, even at school, so I called them back, and it said ? thank you for calling the credit card collection agency?, (I don't even have a credit card. So, I freaked out and I hung up my phone.
