Appreciate your input but we are not making the call on how the research is done, ie. mail, phone, online.  While we will give input, it's up to the client on how they want to collect the data, and there are often other factors involved like how quickly they need the data back.  I totally agree on the phone scams and not trusting who is calling when the callerID does not provide complete info.  Some of that is dependent on telecom central office the call goes through and what comes up on the callerID.  Also, since we do call on behalf of many companies, so we often do not publish CMS Research as it would mean nothing to the person we are calling but if they answer they should recognize who we are calling for. We also really try hard not to abuse calling, usually only calling once a day, and only 3 times in total per project. If they chose not to answer, so be it.  If they are that interested in who is calling, they can call the toll free number and find out who is calling.  Sometimes we can leave a message, sometimes we can not. Trust me, we are well aware of how fed up people are with calls and the scame.  We see it in response rates.   Also, please do not lump us in with telemarketers as they are selling something and tend to be rather persistant in calling.  We do not sell anything, and are only calling to try to get feedback or your opinion to make something you are involved in better.  Thanks again for the input and hope this helps some.

Well you really need to send a survey in the mail then the customer can feel a little safer about what you are actually doing. To many phone scams cause for lack of trust especially when we pay for caller ID and you don't ID yourselves. I don't answer calls that I don't recognize or when they refuse to identify themselves through caller ID. People are fed up with all these calls from telemarketers to surveys and every other thing in between. THIS WORLD IS FULL OF SCAMS SO YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE WHY PEOPLE WILL BE SKEPTICAL OF YOUR CALLS. SEND SURVEYS IN THE MAIL WITH A POSTAL FREE STAMPED ENVELOPE AND I SURE YOU WILL GET MORE RESULTS. This is a pesty way to improve services.

Depending on what we are calling about, the intent is to make the customer service experience or product that we are doing the research on better.  In some cases we are calling to see if a service tech showed up and completed their job, or not.  Without feedback or research being done, products and experiences can not be improved.

This number 800-546-8936 is CMS Research.  We are NOT a telemarketing company as we DO NOT SELL anything.  We are a market research company.  If we are calling you, it is only to get your opinions, feedback or to give you information or remind you to respond to a survey.  We call on behalf of many companies and usually get the phone numbers we call because they are either part of market research panel, or you have been a current customer and provided that number as a contact number and they are looking to get feedback on recent service provided or your opinion/customer satisfaction on an recent interaction.  We generally only call once a day, and generally only 3 times total for a project.  Depending on what type of calling we are doing, sometimes we leave a message, sometimes we can not leave a message.

called them back - recording said they were "cms research" and that they are telemarketers "looking for your opinion" - after that I hung up. will block them.

I receive calls from this number (800-546-8939) and they never leave a message.  I don't recognise the number I just don't answer the phone.  If they leave a message, I go from there

Received this call without any message left very annoying.  Not hte firs and I am sure it will not be the last.  I am on the do not call list . How do they get around this

This call from 800-546-8936 is from Carol Adams Surveys. In this case, they were calling to remind me to fill out a survey they had sent to my house so that my household could be eligible for a cash prizes sweepstakes. They left this message on my voicemail.
