I called the number back.  It is the College Republican National Committee as noted above.  I called twice.  The first time the recorded message started I pressed "1" and got an operator. When I said "I just received a call from this number."  She hung up on me. So I called back, listened to the entire message.  At the end it finally says "To be removed from our call list please press "3" It then asks you to enter the number you want removed.  Not sure if the pressing "3" in the middle of the recording will work or not.  But wanted to pass this on for others to try so they don't have to listen to the entire boring message.

Called yesterday...no message. Called again today...no message. Number is now blocked.

They kept calling me but with no name on the caller I.D. I called them back after a while and recieved an answering machine. I was able to remove my phone #. But I have had other political calls looking for my stepmother. It has gotten to the point that no matter what I tell them. They keep calling me back. To the point that I tell them that has had died a couple of months ago.  It's slowed down thier calling me.

Called at 6:05 pm PST, automatic dialer.  Rang 4 times, then hung up.  "College Republican Committee" answering machine on callback.  Allows removal of number (in theory) by entering the number and pressing 1.

These calls are annoying and unwanted, even if it's a non-profit.  Non-profit organizations need to be added to the do not call laws, because MANY of the non-profits hire telemarketing companies to solicit donations, and these companies take a nice-to-huge chunk of the donation for their "service".

I get calls from this number about every hour.  Very annoying.  I don't take calls from unrecognized numbers when I'm working ? so I have not answered it.

Robo-calls are not illegal and non-profits are not subject to the DNC list.

If you want off their solicitation list, call them and get taken off.

This is a political robo-call.  Their auto dialers dial several numbers at once and the live person in charge of several phones picks up the one (sucker) that answers.  The rest of the robo phones hang up.  the "Do Not Call List" is a national joke, because our weasel politicians exempted themselves from it.  The only way to stop them is to block the number!  

Vote against every stinkin', weasel, incumbent politician!

I get calls from this number every single day at different times of the day.  No one on the line, here clicks etc.  I'm on the do not call list too.

Sure would like to know who this is! These kind of calls should be illegal!

Who uses this number?  I am tired of answering the call and it just hangs up.  This has happened at least 3-4 days in a row.  Very annoying!!!

Noticed a call came in from 1-800-547-6110 when I was gone this afternoon.
I called the number back and got a Spanish speaking recording. I don't speak Spanish so I don't know what it was all about.

I am receiving unwanted calls from this number as well, but automated dialing systems are not illegal. There are regulations as to dialer systems calling cell phones once a company is aware that it is a cell phone and whether or not there is an existing relationship with the company that is calling. There are also solicitation regulations if someone's number is on the do not call list. I am just writing this because I don't like when people are given misinformation and then they go out talking about how companies are breaking the law because someone posted a comment online. Thanks.

Calls twice a day, morning and afternoon. leaves no message. Shows a number 38 which indicates a computer number for a robo call. As of Sept. 1st 2009 robo calls are illegal, carrying a fine up to $25,000 per call. Let's put them out of business! This is a business and we're getting up to fifteen calls a day from others like them.

I called them back and got the answering machine. It is the Republican Party. I'm Republican but don't call me!
