Ana Suarez ripped me off. Quoted me a price and when I got the first bill it was double what I was quoted. I was asked to be patient while the fixed the problem and was told I didnt have to pay they would get it fixed. 5 months later it still hasnt been fixed and I am told there is nothing anyone can do. Its a shame Verizon has ruined it reputation with me. I will never deal with them again. To Ana Suarez all I have to say is KARMA.

Three times I received calls from 800-550-7152 today on my cell phone - I've given my # to no one outside of immediate communicants. Each call I sent to message with no message left. I will certainly take advice from entries above & make my case with the Do-Not-Call list.
Thank you everyone...

Received multiple calls over the last year. Got caught on 1/7/09 when the man said he was calling from Verizon & could save money on monthly bill. On 1/12/09, Verizon gave the business phone # to some lady. I will fill out the FCC form 1088 & we are suing One Source Telecom & Verizon.

I appreciate all the detail from others who bothered to call this number back.  I won't be wasting my time with these do***ebags (or anyone who won't leave a message)

I've received about 6 calls from David James at OneSource over the last 2 weeks, saying that he was calling on behalf of Verizon.  I told him that that I would look at his info/rates if he sends info for me to review, but I never received anything.  For follow-up, they've refused to leave any voice messages, as they hang up after being transferred.  They call multiple times a day, and when asked if they are the same person that called earlier in the day, they deny that they were.  The last straw was today, when David James called this morning and I was on a call.  I ended my call within 30seconds, and immediately hit the line that they were on, but they hung up so quickly.  So, what do they do?  David calls again this afternoon.  We I told him that I wasn't interested anymore, he asked me sarcastically if I was ever really interested.  I told him that I was two weeks ago when he first called, but because I never received the info that he was supposed to send, and that he keeps calling, that I was no longer interested.  He then took an attitude and told me that I was no longer welcome there.  I hung up.  What the heck does that mean?  I hit *69 and called them back and got a supervisor at One Source.  He apologized for thier attitude, but then told me that David has ADD.  I told him that it is no excuse, and that it isn't any of my business that he has ADD and he shouldn't be telling me that.  The supervisor, Dan, told me that he doesn't tell me how to run my business and I shouldn't tell him how to run his business.  I promptly said F*** You and hung up.  I then called Verizon directly and told them what happened.

Receive a call at least once a month for the last 18 months.  Identified themselves as AT&T.  Spoke to 3 different supervisors and they "guaranteed" there would not be another call after 30 days.  The guarantes were issued
7/30/07, 8/2007 and 9/28/07.  What a bunch of losers.  Who would ever consider going back to AT&T after this constant harrassment?

I received a voicemail from this number.  The woman identified herself as WNEC on behalf of the new AT&T and requested I call her back at 800-550-7152 x2162.  After reading your comments and having received a number of similar calls from rude sales people including one that told me to go take a flying f*** when I questioned his intent.

Thanks,

Called back: woman answered the phone asking how she could direct my call.

I asked her were I was calling and she said "This is a service for AT&T and asked if I knew who had called so she could direct my call"

Asked her to have AT&T to verify their Do Not Call list, and not call again.

Poor planning provides poor results.  If this company cannot plan correctly, others should mention it to others so we can become even more informed and educated consumers.
MY two cents.

I am a current employee at One Source, located at 3000 Business Park Dr. STE A, Norcross GA. I would say that anyone that comes here to post in regards to One Source is potentially a little biased either way, so I will attempt to be objective as possible when explaining their business model! Mr. Scott is the gentleman who will be training you in your new hire class, so if you were to read this under the assumption the original poster was speaking at least part of the truth, your best bet is to disregard any rebuttal he may post, considering his position with One Source.

This is how the entire process will work. You will submit a resume to our HR "director" Micky (Jim Donut's cousin). She will then contact you and schedule a date for an interview, this will most likely be the last time you will hear from their one woman HR department. You will arrive for the interview and be greeted by one of the two owners, Jim Donut and Scott, he will most likely be wearing a pair of holy, ragged painters jeans and a horribly wrinkly untucked dress shirt, don't let this startle you, while lacking professionalism, he is a very nice individual! THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU WILL BE PAID BETWEEN 10-18$ AN HOUR, PLUS++ COMMISSION, BASED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE.(You will later be given a pay sheet (during training) which details their tiered payment system which has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with your experience, and pay you 10$ an hour.) ****Either before or after your interview (if you are male) please take a few moments to visit their restroom**** You will see photos on the walls directly infront of your urinal or toilet with pictures of a young boy sitting on a toilet, on each photo someone has drawn in a large rendition of his male genitalia.

Day one at work will consist of a half day of very light training (mostly vocabulary and telecoms acronyms) and maybe 10 minutes of practicing the Script they give you to read on the phone. After lunch they take you to the back of the room to your cubicle.... (where the AC is non-existent, so please, for your own sake, when they say dress casual, dress comfortable) ... where you will have a screen and a headset that is reminiscent of the early 1990's. You will be on an AUTOMATIC DIALER all day long, meaning once your headset picks the call up, there is already a person (usually a secretary) saying hello (no ringing) on the other end of the phone. We call this person the "Gatekeeper" and our goal is to lie or manipulate our way past this person to get to the "DM or Decision Maker". (Yes they will give you a script for your first day but then later encourage you to deviate from it to have better success). Through out any typical day you will have the owners listening in and out on your calls. Technically you are required to state that you are calling "On behalf of Verizon" not calling "with" or "from" etc, you will soon find that aslong as the Verizion Representative is not at the office (Which she very very rarely is) they will encourage you to tell the consumer that you are actually calling "with" Verizon. These phone calls will continue 9:00am - 5:30pm with two fifteen minute breaks and a one hour lunch.

Pro's: Wonderful hours- Ability to wear shorts and a T shirt to work- Potential to make roughly $50,000/$60,000 a year if you are very very good. (Don't let them fool you with any higher earning numbers)

Con's: No drug testing (Many employees and managers talking about buying Coke and smoking pot)- No background checks (Lots of very very low class poorly educated employees)

No Moral Compass: Examples- When I was still in training (On the dialer) I was connected to this old lady, probably in her late 70's, and when I asked to speak to the person incharge of her business account she started to cry, she informed me that her husband had died of cancer 2 years prior and that there is no business any longer. She also informed me that this was the 7th phone call she had received in 3 days alone from us and asked very very nicely "Please is there anything you can do to stop the phone calls?" ... I turned to Scott and asked him if there was any way we could take her off the list, as the phone calls were obviously causing her pain, and his response was "Just tell her you'll take her off and hang up on her." ... Come to find out, they don't have the ability to take anyone off the list.. Just another example of the lack of conscience these people have.

Scott was also gloating over: a call back he had scheduled with a young woman named Jessica (I believe the name is correct), when he called they informed him that she had died the day before... and, with a smile on his face, he proceeded to tell us how he asked "Can I speak to her boss then?".

From what I've gathered in my time with this company is that they continually hire between 8 and 12 new guys a week and throw them on the dialer. They generate leads for the more permanent employees who actually make commission. They gradually let people go starting on roughly the 4th day of training until they have 2-4 people left, and at the end of the day, on the very last day of training they fire all but 1 or 2.

If you do the math assuming this is a legitimate company, there are between 35 and 45 workable desks in the office, even at a 50% turnover rate in classes of an average size of 10, that's 5 new permanent employees every 3 weeks. If they started with 0 desks full it would take them roughly 6 and 1/2 months to fill these seats with permanent, good sales people. If you take into account this company has been around for years, and the fact that there are absolutely 0 employees who work the dialer permanently (other than the training classes) you start to get a clear picture of how they do their business. They hire new guys to generate leads for the rest of us to call back and close and earn commission on, and then fire almost 84% of the trainees before they graduate and are able to start earning commission. Essentially paying a revolving door of new guys $10/hr to sell a product for a month and collect a $600 paycheck and a 250$ paycheck (as they only pay you for 7 hours a day for 3 weeks if you make it that long without being canned).

If you have any questions please post them here, I will be happy to answer them!

I worked at the source for almost 2 years they taught me telecom and i left on top like JOHN ELWAY with the BRONCOS. the company started to go downhill and Verizon sales were diminishing due to the fact they were unable to sell anything more than one product which is called a "custopack" Verizon winback. I opened my own office with another top rep from there and in the first 6 months in business we have generated about 850 thousand in revenue(of course only about 350 thousand is profit so far...lol). It takes about 500 thousand to start an office that will compete with a company like this one. I have to say Bryan Jones is probably there most knolegable amd competant employee when it comes to selling and training  telecom(IF YOU GET A JOB THERE STAY CLOSE TO HIM AND LISTEN). He trained me and most of the other successful reps while i was there.(i assume this remains true today)  When I left the owner Paul Burton tried everything in his power to stop us from opening an office literally 2 miles from his OWN but fortunately for me his circle of influence only extends as far as a few crackheads who obey his every command and a 37 year old do-boy named Dan who wants nothing more than to leave Paul start his own business and finaly be happy... he probably makes around 15-20 grand a month but he makes paul 10-20 times that much...lol...funny Paul made Matt B his partner and kept Dan(addicted to steriods) as a "Floor Manager" even though he has been there JUST AS LONG and WORKED JUST AS HARD.  One day Dan might get his piece of the pie.; but he has to grow some balls and take a chance.  I must admit that the money was pretty good if you were a top sales guy/girl there. Its not hard to make 4-8 grand a month if you are good and they like you.  The problem is they pay when, and to whom they feel like on any given month.  I am happy they underestimated me.  My VZB(verizon Business) sales office(which does complex products like flex t-1's,hosted centrex systems and IPIA Voip systems) grossed 96 thousand in its first month. When i was working there they would tell us we could not sell VOIP because it was "to much of a pain in the a**". LOL. It amazes me that they would leave so much money on the table.  ALthough I have heard they are now limited to only a few products and services due to compliance issues(thats all internal gossip and hearsay though).  If you are good on the phone and you want to hustle for a few months you can roll the dice and you might just make it there.  The money is good (and so are the drunken lunches and trips to Cheetas! lol)  I have to thank Paul Burton (felon) for giving me the tools to open a successful office which started with just myself and one other rep and now is at capacity with 56 employees (depending on the day) I learned how to sell telecom and how not to treat employees. I have to thank Bryan for teaching me how to train. I, with the help of my partner have 5 gUys who sell at least 100-200 lines a month...its hard to do! You all might see me driving through Pompano one day look for the Black S-class Benz with plates that say F1SORCE. And to all you race horses still running the track for him day in and day out remember you are only as good as your last Month and if you don't have a nice set of titties....GET A PAIR! See you at the top.

Dan Kinney of One Source has always given me fair opportunities to make a decent living. Their numbers are 888-292-9492 and 800-550-7152. One Source Fort Lauderdale is a legitimate agent of Verizon and AT&T and they don’t “rip-off” the reps. Anyone who says so must have been doing some shady business and there was a reason they didn’t get paid. I have never had a problem with my commissions and anything in question Dan Kinney has always researched and given me specific answers. He has in the past been an advocate of his team and I believe with this blog it will make him better for it.
