This is a call back from a request quote that someone entered online.  Maybe the requester punched in your number, a wrong number, instead of their own.  I think they are on the up and up and you got a call by mistake.

This is the number which Progressive calls FROM when someone enters information into the "contact me" box.  Their computer dials and connects you with a service agent AFTER the connection is made.  So, the service agent doesn't even know that Progressive initiated the call.  They think that you called them.

If someone makes a typo on the website, entering your number by mistake (or on purpose is they're evil...) then you will get these calls until it's resolved.

I received a call from this number. Woman asked how may I help you. Told her you called me, she insisted I called her? Then stated must have been a problem with the autodialer.

This is Progressive insurance customer service.  They can help with online quotes.  This number should be inbound only.  NOt outbound.  This number calls me all the time.  Unless you are trying to get a quote for progressive insurance don ot answer this number.

For some reason I am getting calls from this number making it sound like I called them for an online quote.  NO WAY.  I have received four calls within 5 minutes.

I am on the federal no call list and would like to know why this is happening.

Also, why can companies text me for sales pitches when I am on the no call list.....

Got several calls in a row from this number within a few minutes.  When I answered the first one and asked why they were calling, the guy said he was from Progressive (mentioned my "online quote") and that I called him, and that he doesn't even have the capability to call out.  Second call I answered, same guy.  He was nice about it, apologized, said something must be screwy with the phone.  While I was on the second call with him the number called me again on line 2.

I've gotten over 15 calls from this number in the last two days. They're from Progressive Direct, but I have no idea why they are calling me. The woman placed me on a "do-not-call" type of list, but I am still receiving the calls.

Whom is this number registered with?
