My wife answered this call they said they were capital one. She said she told them that our payments are up to date. They said that payments were okay.. But they wanted to talk to me.
  So I looked up there # and it is 1-800-955-7070 not 1-800-555-7070. This # also showed up as phyic card reader in canada. Sounds fishy to me. Then I tried calling the 1-800-555-7070 # several times and all I got was a message saying I could not dial this # from my area. Sounds like a pretty good scam.
Be careful and don't give any info to them. Or WAMMY they'll wipe you out.

This is Capital One calling to collect on your debts. This will be a person who will leave a message. (Prior to this, they will auto dial you constantly via 866-279-7918. It will give up if you don't answer).
