Caller from this number left a message also saying that my Visa card on file with the Wall Street Journal had expired.  The only problem is that I don't have any WSJ subscription and don't use a Visa card, so I strongly suspect that this is a phishing attempt.

We got a call from this number about a month ago, and the message was that our credit card on file with the Wall Street journal had expired. We were asked to call back to take care of the matter, or to go to a website "wsj.com/billing." I saved the message in our voice mail.

Now, we had paid for the subscription, free and clear, and there is no earthly reason why the WSJ would need to have a card on file for us. Meantime, my husband claimed that there was a notice online that this was a phishing scam. OK, so I checked online here, and the Google search turned up the same number, first for an outfit called "search consultants," and second, for the National Wildlife Federation. The third entry was for the white pages, which gave me 8 results, all of them for the Washington State Employees Credit Union.

Fourth was for 800 notes, where there is only one entry, no details given.

This seems odd, that so many different uses for this 800 number come up.
