Man asked to speak to my husband..said he could not talk to me...was from 5/3 Bank.  Did not sound professional in any way.  He insisted he "can only speak" to my husband, even tho this is a joint account.  Told him never to call back again, and if someone does call back from this number, it will never be answered again.   One other call from 5/3 Bank someone asked me to try their mobile app.  Whatever the "reason" I'm not interested.

did you ever notice these calls get more frequent towards the weekend? i never answer but wish they would stop. i am willing to bet the ones that make these calls have a total combined IQ of about 15!

Receive calls from this number 2-3 times a day.  If I let our answering machine pick it up,  they do not leave message.   If I answer the phone myself,  they just hang up.  I tried calling the number back and I get an automated message saying it's "Residential Mortgage". Apparently, it's Fifth Third Bank.   They're desperate for mortage customers.

I started getting these calls. I also work for a company that has a similar issue. People are trying to spoof our info to get customers to give out info so they can take their money. The sad thing is that it is not 53 banks fault. Just a pain in the butt. If you need loan info from 53 i suggest walking into the bank..!

My goodness, but people can be naive.  This IS NOT 5/3 Bank, folks.  It's a phishing scam posing as 5/3.

Have started receiving calls from this number, they do not leave a message.  When you call back you get an automated service saying this is Residential mortgage and you can not leave a message because the mailbox is full. No way to get to an actual human.

I get disappointed-- I keep missing the call. I want preach the Gospel to them.

called again today-just dont answer- leaving a message to not call your number again useless-could be spoofers

I am on the national do not call list. These people call me almost every day and sometimes twice a day. I answer and there is no one on the line. I called the number back and the machine said it was a mailbox for "residential mortgage".

I also get these calls daily during the week. Sometimes they call 4-5 times a day. I pick up and as soon as I say hello they hang up. Today I picked up the phone and did not say hello. This time they waited for a hello and hung up when they did not get one but they waited and I heard them click off their phone. I called the number back and it said it was residential mortgage not 5th third bank that showed on the caller ID. I could not get through to a live person. VERY irritated with this caller!

I keep getting these phone calls from Toll-free calls and when I called them back they say they are residential mortgage.

I get a callfrom this number daily. Sometimes up to 4 a day. If  I answer they hang up, if it for a to message, they hang up. Annoying, nuisance.

I've gotten several calls from 800-562-6945.  I picked up and there was dead air.  I called back the number and got a voice mail message saying I had reached "Residential Mortage"  but couldn't get connected to a live person.  Others here say it's Fifth Third Bank.  We do have several accounts with them so it makes sense that they might have our phone  number.  Our accounts are all in good standing.

This call is an attempt to collect information that would lead to fraud. DO NOT EVER give information to anyone ove the phone before verifying without a 150% doubt that you know who that person is. This call IS NOT GENERATED by Fifth Third Bank, and is not an attempted by 5/3 to scam you; as I have read in some posts. If you are ever in doubt call your local Financial Center and ask them if the call has any validity. Further steps would be submitting your phone number to the "Do Not Call" list and but reporting it to the authorities, since it is an attempt to commit fraud.

We get these calls regularly on a phone we have only for faxes. Caller ID says Third Bank, but I never answer. We do have a mortgage with Fifth Third Bank, but our account is in good standing and they said there is no reason for them to call us. I called back today out of curiosity, and was not able to get a person, and voice mail was full. So I googled the number, and figure that based on what everyone is saying, this is a scam.

I called back and it was a recording that said Residential Mortgage...?  I don't have a mortgage with them.

Stop calling.  Nobody leaves a message or will return a call.

Calls once a day and never leavs a message.  call them back and it goes directly to voicemail...no 5/3 name given, but says some mortgage companys...annoying!

According to all these posts this is 5/3 bank who I have my checking and savings through.  No reason for them to call though because my fiance is the main name on our account.  If this is about a mortgage I know my credit isn't good enough to get one and our house is financed through another bank.  

They left a message but it was just the sound of someone hanging up the phone.....

This number called today; I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.  And they added a star (*) to their caller ID ... did they think that would make me think them important and answer??

I see from my usage details that this number called me six times in 3.5 hours. It never rang through because months ago I put this number on my exclusive call forwarding list, a feature available to me as part of my ATT U-verse package. Numbers on this list are all automatically forwarded to a number I decide on. I chose to route them to the number of a telemarketing outfit that was particularly obnoxious, rude and persistent; that number is on my blocked list. Many numbers cannot be blocked on my plan, because if they pay for a commercial package, ATT won't be subject it to blocking. So those get automatically forwarded to another telemarketing company, without ever bothering me. It gives me warm fuzzies every time I read my call log and see how many  pests tried to ring through, but got blocked (they get a message that says the number they have called has blocked the number they are calling from) or forwarded to another telemarketing firm.  Bwahahahaha!  Next up, I am buying a phone that blocks calls you mark for blocking. Fight back, consumers! You pay for phone service for YOUR convenience, not to make yourself prey for spammers and scammers.

I have been receiving phone calls from this number about twice a day now for the past couple of weeks.  I am going to call Fifth Third to find out if it is them.   I do have a credit card with them so that may explain why the calls have been happening.  If the number is theirs I am going to ask them to stop calling me and find out the name of the representative.  If the calls continue after I ask them to stop I am going to file a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency who oversees the national banks using their website form (https://appsec.helpwithmybank.gov/olcc_form/).   Feel free to do the same if you are having the same issue.

They call 2-3 times a day, they called last month from a different # i told them i wasn't interested now they are calling back from a new #- the 1st # was calling asking if i was interested In some kind of protection that would pay my credit card bills due to an emergency., i politely said no this is the 3rd time you've called I'm not interested. Please do not call me anymore- they said they would update the system & i wouldn't get n e more calls; stopped for about a week; now their right back at it again from a different # ... I am on the national do not call regustrt... Im blicking this # from my phone & they will get a recording saying they've been blocked & I'm reporting them to the BBB- i suggest you do the same, if they continue to call from another # after that, my cousin is an attorney & i have connections with Christopher 2x;  i will figure out how to end this. And their gonna hear some profanity if they call back a 3rd time today; after that like i said I'm blocking their call.
