Just recieved a call from 800-564-2395. Gentleman on the other end indentified hmself and also warned me this was a recorded conversation. He said was looking for a person and wanted to confirm her location. I told him I just got this phone and number and that I didnt know the person he was inquiring about. At the end he managed to ask if I might be the spouse to which I replied no. As Im already married and its certainly not to the woman he was looking for.
Anyways he was professional and courteous and said he would remove my number from his list so I wouldnt get anymore calls from his company.
My take on this is, it was simply a wrong number.
This company is a collection company, Nationwide Credit, Inc., and not DirectTV only. I think I also read that this company is used by QVC as well. If this is true, it speaks volumes about DirectTV and QVC as companies. Nationwide Credit, Inc. does not follow the rules and has had to pay huge penalties for it as evidenced in http://www.ftc.gov/opa/1998/10/nationwide.shtm
You've already been sued successfully for harassing people. Now you're doing it again
your able to post stuff on the internet, doesn't that cost.to have a computer.
yeah, its direct tv.my wife owes them money that will never get,but they keep calling my phone,o-well puck them, feed em fish.i have mr number installed on my phone so when they call,it gives them half a ring, then hangs up on them.dumb @s$ people i swear.
I live in a shack. Can barely even afford to buy food and let alone borrow 10 dollars from a friend. I don't even drive. How the fcuk am I able to afford DirectTV you dumbfcuk company?
Everyone should know that you should keep the calls on your phone and then log them with date, time, etc. Then all you have to do is file a complaint in small claims. If they get enough, they will stop bugging everyone. Depending on your state's laws, you can sue for between $3,000 and $10,000.

Call your phone carrier and tell them to block the number. If you have a smart phone you can do that automatically.
This is a collection or Direct TV. We had an account with Direct TV and we travel so we were told that we could go "off and on" Direct TV, then we get a call from Nationwide saying we owe $1024!!! I talked to Nationwide, got all the facts that were passed to them and then sent a letter to the CEO of Direct TV stating my case and requesting a response. I sent it via UPS and said that they had to sign for the envelope. It's only been 2 days, but here is the address of the CEO of Direct TV if you want to write him.......it all flows down hill so I'm hoping for a quick resolution:
Mr. Chase Carey, CEO
Directv Corporate Office
2230 E. Imperial Hwy
El Segundo CA 90245
Direct TV is the F****NG DEVIL! They can go f*** themselves. Bunch of god damn ni#!ers working at call centers.
Momma you are not alone....I was a DirecTV customer for 9 years. I discontinued my service in May of 2011 after I paid everything they said I owed them. Well, guess what?...Three months later they told me I owed them 60 dollars for Pay per View services I never ordered nor received...These are charges that after their own mistakes they try to recover from anybody...
They are a Telepest known as Nationwide Credit working for Direct TV. Even though a letter of temination and a follow-up phone call verifying the termination of service was initiated - Direct TV still sent the "psedu" outstaning invoice to collections. Direct TV and Nationwide Credit are abusive and Telepests. Rachel Ostridge is the telepest working for Nationwiide.
Please note that you (your company) should have a policy to validate phone numbers before calling them incesently. I have had my number for over 3 years and am getting calls for someone I have never heard of. In returning the call to clarify this, I was on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes and then was told the system could handle the call and to call back and then was hung up on. Even though you many be a very nice person, your company is not and hence the person on the other end of the phone gets the crap. Sorry.
i called back, and there was a reception lady that transferred to another reception lady who told me they got the wrong number.... and a few weeks passed since then, i am still receiving calls.
I got an odd call from this number too. They left a message and oddly enuf I knew of the person they were calling for- its a real small town here- but I cant guess how or why they'd have my number?!!! I called back and got a reception run around and then hung up on when I pressed for how they had my number....
They did answer as Nationwide Credit.
Caller ID: 1-800-564-2395
I answered even though it was an 8oo number. I said "Hello", but they just hung up.
No "Sorry...wrong number."
No asking to call back.
left me message to call 8:15 am Sunday 11/16/-8
Received 2 calls under 800-564-2395 and under 607-621-4196. Nationwide Credit would not say how they got my number? Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. Sounds fishy to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the company calling from 8005642395 is nation wide credit. they keep calling my husband and so called them back today and they are trying to sell you into getting your credit fixed or getting lines of credit.
its crap and they are selling stuff so when they call, call them back and tell them to take you off their list or you will file a lawsuit if they dont. and when they do if they call back file a complaint on them and make it known that they are doing what u told them not to do.
same as the rest of you they did leave a message thanks for your post as I figured it was a scam
Please! I registered for no solicitating calls.
i have this number call more than 2 times a day , somethimes every day . when i answer no body is there , just a anoying noise. please some body stop this calls , i also get another callas , at 1:00 am , 3:00am o all day long , with this noise.
and i get the 646-727-7937
they call daily, leave music on my answering machine and when i call back there's never anyone on the other line to takeme off their freaking list.
Called them and actually got someone who claimed they were working on behalf of Direct TV and that I owed a balance. They are a quack collection agency.
DirecTV thinks I owe them $40.00 because they didn't cancel my service on the day I requested it to be canceled. I was a customer for 8 years, too, and I never was late with a single payment. Unbelievable.
the phone number is used by
Nationwide Credit Inc.

They call me every day around 5:30 pm. They call also in morning weekends (when I want to sleep in). They ask for a person that does not live with me. The phone call they make asks to press a number if the person they are trying to reach does not live in my house; I pressed it every day till I tried a new approach, to talk to a human being! This time I acted as if i was the person they are trying to reach. My landline is on hold by their computer phone for about 55 minutes so far and no human answers. In the mean time I am writing this comment. I hate this company! And the worst thing is that I'm not even a party in their dispute.
The person they are looking for at this business does not work here, never has. I have received 4 calls after telling them not to call here and am now looking for an address so we can bill them for our time for answering their calls. We are on an emergency call service and these calls are costing us money! Can you get it through your head to stop calling here?
I got a call from this number twice today *8/26/2010* and the gentleman asked me if my name was Nicole Miller. My name is not Nicole Miller so I said "no". He said ok I'm sorry. And then he asked me how long I've had my current cell phone number. I said, "not long". He said ok I'm sorry for the inconeinience and we both hung up. Although this man was very polite, I feel it isn't right for them to call me and ask me questions regarding my phone number and address. It is an invasion of privacy and if it continues I will take action against the company responsible.
Must be about Directtv. I was very pleased with them and their customer service till the day that I decided to cancel the service. They did the same to me..fool around about my cancelation desires...and it took me days to make them understand I no longer wanted the service. Then, the hug bill show up. I complained in written with no avail so far. They just keep bugging and bugging about an unreasonable huge bill that came out of the blue after my service cancelation request. While I keep ignoring them, they are paying much more to some collection company, so let it be. BTW, be aware, make sure your system cards are cleared or suddently charges will appear after your cancelation process. I will never ever again will refer a friend to these people.
