This person called me from this number on my cell phone and they didnt leave there compnay name or anythign just Jesse Burton and an extension. Who is this?
| Joy 2011-06-06 20:58:06 Unknown |
Called for someone who is no longer employed at my office. But, their spouse is. Then they asked to leave a message for the spouse. Would not tell me who they were with. It is really hard to get someone to call you back, when you won't tell them who you are with. Especially, when you are calling their place of employment.

the name of the company who keeps calling you is "Collect Corp"-"Representing Chase"...it means that Chase no longer handles or has your account and that Chase has pass your account to them...and that they will track down anyone in your family...mother, father, sister, brother, Aunt, Uncle, neice, nephew,& Neighbors to get the word to you that you need to pay your bill...if you don't have a bill with Chase then call Chase and find out why they keep calling; fix the problem...if you don't take care of it then Collect Corp will keep tracking the folks in your life until you do...

received phone call on unlisted number that has been registered with national do not call registry. Female caller requested information about relative. Refused to provide information. Called number back. Male stated that the office "may be" associated with Tony Salcito. I asked if that was a law firm. He wouldn't indicate. I informed that I was federal government and his reply was not acceptable. I advised that information would be forwarded to higher authority for follow up. Caller ID information only indicates "800 Service".

A "Ms. Grant" called looking for one of our employees, saying that there was an emergency involving his wife and that he needed to contact her right away. Left the 800 number and her extension. After determining that the employee was on his day off I attempted to contact Ms. Grant to advise that I was unable to locate him, and that's when I determined that it was a collection agency.

I received a call from these people and returned said call..they wanted personal information on an ex-family member and would not identify their company...talked to a guy name of Moses...since he would not give any exact information for the reason he was calling me and I have nothing to do with the subject person he gave me a case number and asked me to call said subject, I refused and told him to call her. After hanging up I redialed to see if I could get the name of the company...was told they don't give out that information because THEY HANDLE CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION...sounds fishy too me..how do we find out who these people are? Maybe if we all report them to BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. IT IS HARRASSMENT TO ME AND IS A CHALLENGE AGAINST PRIVACY RIGHTS TO THE SUBJECT BEING SEARCHED FOR.

Took call from them after they had called my brother-inb-law, daughters and so on. Collection agency for Chase. Want me to get family to co-sign loan so I can pay them off. Need to contact them by 8 PM same night as I talked to them to let them @2:30pm know I'm doing this- that way they'll write off $1000.00 of the almost $7000. Talked with Miss crawford & Donna Grant.

People from 800-565-6198 keep calling our office and refusing to say where they are or how to send them a letter telling them to stop calling our office for a former employee whom they are trying to collect a debt from. I tried informing them that the employee does not work here, I tried telling them that it was illegal for them to call at a place of work once informed that the employee was no longer there and that an employer has the right to refuse to allow collection or creditor calls--they just hang up and try again in about half an hour. They leave messages on all of our voicemails and call 6 to 8 times per day. I am reporting their number to our state attorney general for illegal collection practices.

Dear debt collecor - getting random calls does not do any good when the person they are asking for does not live at the location. So, hey debt collector.... DO YOUR RESSSSSSSSSSSSSEARCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

How come nobody here can get an address or name of company? could it be that they're not identifying themselves as they are supposed to be by law?
Look, nobody wants the harrassment- people make mistakes and that is the risk these lenders make when times get tough and the economy goes south. Just because a good person gets in financial trouble is no reason for these insulting abusive rude sob's to harrass us. It's not like we feel great about it. They try to shame you into paying. They wouldn't take my first suggestion to try to pay monthly. They want me to beg for the money from people who don't have it. Now they want to try the montly thing again. they call my elderly parents and neighbors. We will all sue them- lets see how that goes.

This c*** named Mrs. Crawford keeps calling neighbors and misrepresenting herself as a friend or saying that the neighbor is listed as a contact. She is lying and her company will be sued. she makes inappropriate statements in order to get information from the neighbors. She is employed by a debt collection agency for Chase Manhattan.

did you ever find out who was calling you? what is the company's name and address? Who are they collecting for?
| not mine 2008-07-14 23:18:59 Unknown |
Same thing, I do not owe anyone but I get calls from collection agency's trying to reach family members. RPM was one that was very rude and when I mentioned that it was illegal to be rude they stopped calling.
Now I have someone calling who tells me that it is illegal for them to tell me the business name...hmmm...this is from Eugene (who was very hostile) at 800 565-6198.
Sure would like to know who that is.

It is really sad that there are people who prey on others. My son lost his house due to an adjustable rate mortgage and, because the payments had gotten so high, he got behind in credit card bills. He settled with a company two years ago and, out of the blue, my bank account was cleared out. I was scared to death that it was identity theft but I finally learned that it was the credit card company who he had settled with. My son's name is on all of my accounts because I am a widow. He never had any money in there, it was all of my paycheck and he hasn't lived with me for fifteen years. How can a debt collector do that? How can a person do that and live with themselves?
I need asthma medication and they cleaned out my account and caused multiple NSFs. Pretty sad.
I don't understand how debt collectors can clean out a bank account but if they do a garnishment they can only get up to 25% at a time. Pretty shady.

Hey, debt collector, these a**wipes have been repeatedly calling me to get ahold of someone who has never lived with me and is not part of my family, and they are BREAKING THE LAW by doing it! It's called HARASSMENT! I have filed papers with my state attorney general's office. If it were my debt, it would be one thing, but it isn't.

What's the name of this company? I've been getting "reference" calls from them as well and I'm about to turn this over for legal action. I'd like to know who I'm suing first...

Caller from "out of area" left message wanting to contact a neighbor. Had a mid-eastern accent and identified himself as Massaud. He had the neighbor's name and address but said it was regarding a business matter and did not have his phone number. Left this call back number 1-800=565-6198 x4315. Very suspicious because this neighbor's phone number can be found on whitepages.com

Call indicated that I was mentioned as a reference for a neighbors for a business document. Spoke with neighbor and this is untrue. Not sure what the call was for but appears to be information collection of some sort.
