I called the number and it picked up but no one answered the phone, so I was treated to five minutes of someone making their pitch in the background. That was enough for me.

This number 1-800-565-8605 keeps leaving messages on my cell saying to call them back about a very important matter. Checked it out and been finding its a scam. If I owe money to a collection agency how could I have just fianaced a new $60,000 pick up??? I'm sick of the harassing phone calls!!!

Stop calling

You need to get your facts straight.  If your concerned about your credit then call and ask if not you , wrong number it happens in life.  people change numbers all the time.  Most complaints on these sites and from debtors themselves that owe money and dodge it!! the company is not a scam , outsourced by bigger companies to collect thier debts, not sold.  again get your facts straight!!!

Police should do something about it

This number is calling our corporate line once ever 4 minutes. They have asked repeatedly for a person who doesn't work here and we don't know. They are determined our office number is a cell line. They are very rude it was a man when I called back and he said it was Gatestone out of Oshawa Ontario. They are calling my office in Alberta at 9:30 Ontario Time. I told him to go to bed and quit phoning...and I guess he did he hasn't called back.

This is Gatestone & Co. formerly known as CollectCorp. They are a debt collection agency.
They buy old debts and try to collect on them. You do not need to talk to them. Check the Statue of Limitation on your debt. Try to brush up on what debt collectors can and cannot do. There are tons of information online. Good Luck!

Do not answer their calls....clowns trying to collect debts after the bank writes them off on their books, and sell to these 3rd party collection company's.

I don't talk to machines - telemarketers or collection companies or even for a date with Johnny Depp. If I'm not important enough for a person to call me, then they're not important enough for my time.

Received a call from this number and a message, but I have no idea what the person was saying because his english skills were atrocious.

Got this call from some woman about an unpaid loan. Told her I do not believe in paying bills when I could get new accounts by lying. Got her really pissed off so I asked her if she got paid if she did not collect. That did it she really lost it so I to;d her to get a real job preferably where she might have an orgasm. she hung up.....

Please remove this number from your list 250-724-1948! The person you are trying to contact does not live here and if you continue to call I will consider your actions harassment.

Keep getting calls from this number.  I don't owe any money yet they continue to harass me.

They have calling and calling for over a year, please disconetc you f ..automated machine, how can I tell u you are calling the wrong number and person too

Identity thieves and scammers,  Leaving messages about credit card debt I have only one credit card for over 20 years when I contact my credit card company directly they tell me my credit card is fully paid in good standing and according to their records I am perfect and have never even been late on a payment in all the years i've used their card they have no record about my "owing" anything and no idea about these people calling.   I've also got 3 credit reports all perfect and clean.    They are scammers and thieves trying to confirm your personal info for their own uses.

I caught them at their own game. They asked for information about me, but couldn't quite answer when I told them I just had my Credit Report pulled and what they were asking about wasn't on there.  (which is the truth).

He stuttered and wasn't able to come up with anything good.

I suggest that everyone call them from a payphone, and make a fart sound with his mouth. Or, if sent to answering machine he leaves a fart sound.
If we do this they will stop calling.
let it be the International Fart Day. Lets bug the buggers.

Have Left repeated Msgs for some guy I have never heard of. Have tried many times to call them back to tell them that they have the wrong number, and to stop calling my number, but I can never get in touch with any body who works there, and there voice mail is always full so I can't even leave a msg.

Let a registered message saying to call this number for a personal business matter, call every day. When you call back an "agent" tell you that you have a debt, but they can't tell for what.

Just got a call saying they were from Collect Corp and that they had called me numerous times and hadn't returned their call.  They said my name on the message and left a case number. i called back 3x before anyone picked up, and all 3 times i got a different answering machine message.  He had my name right, but my year of birth wrong and the city i lived in.  Something is fishy...i wouldn't give anymore information.  He asked me to confirm birth month and date after i had said year was wrong.

Excellent!!  I have these Trashbag's on my tail again.  Keep trying guys; we'll go back to playing that game where for every auto-dialer call I receive, your CEO receives 5 from me!  How well did your office appreciate that last round? LOL!!

A lady just called and asked if Chris was there. I told her that she had the wrong number and then she proceded to say that he was my neighbor from apt 10 and that it would be great if I could slip her number under his door. She said she was in Toronto. She gave me the number plus the extention 6890, and then told me it was for M. Chris Whitely. I then checked and the guy that lives in that apartment is not Chris Whitely. I had also asked her what was this concerning and she just answered that it was a very important matter.

Received a voicemail this evening looking for some unknown chap. It said to return call to 1-800-565-8605 to sort out options (didn't say it was a collection agency) and left a reference number.  The voicemail used a prerecorded female voice which I've heard used elsewhere. Curious to note that the chap's name they were looking for, sounded as if it was digitally recorded.

Looks like I've got the same person on my tail, too.
