this number 1-800-871-1840 keeps calling under different numbers(it's a law firm). i have told them they have the wrong number and there is no lucinda. I have made a report two times to the police department. They have called and told them to stop calling. this was on the 13th in the early morning leaving voice mail every time. They stopped since then until 1:56 today on my way to the doctor. It's automated too...

Now they are sending e-mails don't know how they got mine. Below is the e-mail

They have called me twice and asked if I was Susan Armstrong, first off, I am male with a deep voice, I asked if I sounded like Susan then I was asked if I knew her, I replied no and to take my number off the list, she hung up on me.

found out he is a c******s****** very evasive and stated  looking for  other people to have sex  may be able to help with this problem  Just wanted to see if other people were having this same issue

I received a call last night on my home phone which is a private number looking for a relative. The caller?s name was Chris Botz ext. 3094. This person was very evasive and stated my relative listed me as a point of contact, he caught me completely off guard my relative never calls me on my home number.  Initially I was afraid that it was a serious call and something could have happened to her. Chris left his contact number as 800-304-8855, but he was calling from 803-335-3638. Chris said his company's name was "URS".

this number 800-568-0399 repeatedly calls, they never say who they are attempting to reach...been advised to ignore these calls....

These people are calling my "ghost phone" numerous times every day.  It only shows up on the caller ID on my television.  No one has this number, comcast didn't even tell me what it was, and it has never had a phone connected.  Just wanted to see if other people were having this same issue.  I guess so!

They call my cell phone every day asking for somebody I don't know. I tell them every day to stop calling they hace the wrong number yet the very next day I get to do it all over again. I am really considering giving them a warning and then just blasting a horn at them every time they call since they won't stop calling as I have asked them to every day for the last month. I am going to write some letters to my states attorney, the BBB, and any others I think may be able to help with this problem.

I have a fax machine tone waiting for all thier calls!!! Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.. I have debt from over 5 years ago. Economy took all of my booty on 2008!! Just log in to your cell phone account ... and BLOCK their phone number. They'll probably just start using a different number once they realize this one has been blocked. But, it will give you a few weeks of relief. Then ... just do it again, and again, and again ...... like a bad dream - eventually they will go away. :-)

Sounds like a federal offence to me.

I'm not sure who these people are but they just recently started calling my cell. I don't have a Dell account but do have a best buy HSBC card which I pay every month so I have no idea why their collectors would even be calling me. So annoying and odd.

They keep calling my cell phone even though I have told them several times they have the wrong number. It gets very annoying and you would think they would figure it out and stop harassing the wrong people.

This number has been calling my personal cell for the last two days about twice a day. I don't even bother to pick up, especially after searching for the number online and reading the many posts on this site about it. I have the number on permanent block on my phone. That may be the quickest solution.

We have received three automated calls asking if we are a certain person and if we are we could be connected to a "live" person. We do not want to be involved in whatever this is about. It is not anyone that lives in our household.

Keeps calling and calling. My theory-if it's important they will leave a message.

2/12/2012 - Received call on cell phone from 800-568-0399 that I did not answer; they left no message.  Found that this is United Recovery Systems, a debt collector.

Two hours earlier I had received a phone call from 319-242-7344; a male asked for Jeff.  Since I know no Jeffs, I said no one here by that name.  He said OK and hung up.  Searched and found that CBE Group is also a collection company in Cedar Falls Iowa that has several phone numbers sequential to the second one.

No way to know for sure if connected, but likely they are looking for the same Jeff.

Once it is charged off, you are credit rating screwed. The card holders sell your accounts to the parasites. The path is do not answer and google what the laws are. You can answer the calls and have this trash go on for infinity.  3 years is infinity in Texas.

We are getting calls several times daily for a person that resides in our home.  When answered, the caller says, press 1 if you are the person; press 2 if you are not.  If we press 1, the message is repeated; if we press 2, the message is repeated.  We are ignoring the calls now, but it is annoying and an interruption to receive them.  I realize this is a post, but will there be any definitive action taken?

Hi just got a call from them also.  If you get a call over and over from the same number you can contact your phone company and have that number blocked.  Some phone companies give you access to this tool on their "do-it-yourself" portal.

This number has called my number numerous times in the last 2 months. I very tired of them calling. We have caller ID so we never bother to answer.

To those of you that keeps getting calls from 800-568-0399, which is a debt collector called United Recovery Systems, they use illegal tactics to get information either on you or someone close to you and/or no one you even heard of. Even though you ask them to stop calling your number, they proceed, and at times may increase the number of times they call you. I have recently purchased a magic jack, which they are calling 4 to 9 times a day. The nice thing is when my computer is off, the call never goes through but gets logged as a missed call. So after some research and finding a number that is United Recovery Systems direct line and not a 800 number, I now have set my call forwarding to ring into them every time they call my magic jack. Of the ones that what to do the same with their phones, that number is (713) 977-1234.  I have my calendar marked for one month and see if they are still calling my magic jack.

I receive this call a few times a day on my cell and when they do leave a message it's form someone different every time.

I have a block feature on my cell that sends them straight to voicemail. If you look on your credit report you will probably see their name under inquiries. Thats how debt collectors find you. They pull your credit report. Your current address is on your credit report as well.

I got 4 calls from this #. I called back but got put on hold for a long time.
What is the number to lodge a complaint for unwanted call. A response
will be appreciated. Thanks
