Love our cordless phone system - it has CALL BLOCK!!

When I get these 1-800 calls I look them up and if they're not someone I do business with or they fail to leave a message they get put on the Blocked Caller list... Only downside is the phone system does ring once that I hear, then I get a message saying CALL BLOCKED and that's it! I believe they get a busy signal...

The calls are from Xentel calling on behalf of WAVAW. If you support WAVAW, then donate on- line as a higher percentage of your donation goes to help women facing violence in their lives than if you donate via Xentel.

Careful as after months of ignoring the 800-568-8106 number, Xentel used a 604-xxx-xxxx number (I can't find it on my caller ID from a few days ago and I don't want to mistakenly post the wrong phone number in this forum). The 604- number is local for me so I picked it up (silly me). I told the caller that I prefer to donate on-line, she said fine and ended the call. If you call the 800 or the 604 number back, you can go through the phone prompts and get your number taken off Xentel's call list. However if you have previously donated to a charity, Xentel can still call you on that charity's behalf, so you aren't entirely immune.

I get 3-5 calls per day from telemarketers. I never pick up the phone and it never stops!

I don't care if it is WAVAW, if I wanted to donate to them I would contact them myself. I have supported them in the past but there is no way they would have this phone number connected to me. It's just BS telemarketing and should be ILLEGAL! Now for sure I will NEVER DONATE TO THEM AGAIN.

Globe and Mail, Market surveyors, charities....just stop already!

I called  the number  1-800-568-8106.  The machine told me to call 1-800-568-8107.  I got myself put on the do not call list but really doubt it will do any good.  Had to try.  They are so annoying.

We are not interested .  These calls are very annoying. STOP AT ONCE

I have had several calls from this number. Nobody replies when you say Hello, but then I don't wait too long with these calls. We are on the 'no call' list but if this is a charity like WAVAW then I guess they are exempted

Caller called twice at 1:48 am (listed as Unknown) and again at 1:49 am (yes, that's AM as in morning...) the second time the phone number came up as 1-800-568-8106. This time the caller left a message including profanity. My husband believes the message left was actually a recording of several Arnold Schwarzenneger movie lines. I'm not sure about that but it sure is annoying. I'm most upset about the time of the call and the use of profanity. My kids don't need to hear that.

phoned at 5:30 (July 8/08)did not answer to my "hellos" and I hung up phone. Call display shows "number and "unknown"

How many times must I repeat that my number is now a business line and has been for the past 2 years, I get 4 - 5 calls a day for the previous owners of my phone number and there seems to be nothing I can do to stop the telemarketers.  I think I will purchase a horne and next time blast the person who comes on the phone.  I told the person earlier in the day that I am now a business line and not interested, then 2 hours later I get a call from the same number AGAIN.  Obviously asking to be taken off of their calling list doesn't work - and the first person I spoke to was very rude
