Got a call from this number on my cell phone.  Collection agency.  My advise: don't answer the phone OR call back.  They are NOT cooperative, and if you continue to ignore them, they will stop calling eventually.  Any bite you give them will keep them pulling.

Yep- it's a collection agency.  They are ALL slime balls. Never give any of them any information.  Ignore, don't answer, and block your calls.  They are the spawn of Satan.

As they wont tell me why sighting confidentiality law I wont give the man any info, he tells me he will just keep calling with an intimidating tone. I have talked to our son he has no idea why we are getting these calls. I want this to stop, I have contacted out phone company.

This number called my old business (my mom owns it now).  Despite my telling her not to give out info on me or to offer to take messages etc, she keeps talking to these people and others like them.  She takes messages and says she'll give them to me if she sees me.  You would think that she would know by now after the 1000th time I told her--just say I don't work there and HANG UP!!!

They keep calling no matter how many times I've explained to them my ex. does not live at this number. They swear he gave my number to them. I know that's a lie because he doesn't even  know it ! they will do what ever they have to go get a response. just don't even answer your phone and they will go away eventually. They may even come up with another source but that's the way they operate.

I just got a call from this number.  They were asking about someone who lives in my town with the same last name.  I told them that no one by that name ever lived here.  The caller was polite, and asked me to hold on for just a moment while he removed my number from the file.  He said that if I hung up, he would not be able to remove my number.  I was skeptical, but hung on for about 30 seconds.  I expected more questions, but he claimed my number was removed.  We'll see.

Dear Alfalfa:
Thank you for this letter that I can send.  I will use it.  I haven't been able to do so before, because I didn't have the collection agency's name and address. Now that I do, I will stand up for my rights.  I appreciate it.
Have a good one...W

Thank you so much Boomer for the info.

I was divorced 4 years ago, and I STILL get frequent phone calls for my ex-husband's bad business debts.  These collection agencies are sleazeballs of the lowest sort.  At first, I tried patiently and honestly telling them that I have no idea where my ex-husband lives and have absolutely no info on him whatsoever (which is true- believe me, if I had a phone # to give these slime buckets, I would gladly let them pester him non-stop instead of me).  They don't care.  I basically ignore them completely, which is the best way to handle it.  Any information or attention you give them makes them think you have some info and are hiding it.  Or who knows, maybe they figure if they bother you enough, you'll get tired and pay the bill (which is ridiculous if it isn't your debt, but these people are neither logical nor moral).

Again, THANK YOU for the info.

OH! One more VERY IMPT reason to list their identity as you did is this: these con artists WILL NOT tell you who they are if you ask them over the phone.  They just will not.  I have tried to get a company name and mailing address to send a written declaration that the debts aren't mine, and they simply WON'T give you an iota.

So, BRAVO BOOMER!!! You are my hero.

Head Debt Collector:

Richard B. Hunter

Bud Says?

When Bay Area Credit Services Head Debt Collector Richard B. Hunter used the debt collectors slogan; ?Your Bridge to Financial Recovery? in his internet ad, did the people he was collecting for and from realize that bridge stretches all the way to INDIA?

When will cheapskate debt collectors like Richard B. Hunter realize that Americans do NOT want their personal information such as names, addresses, dates of birth, driver?s license numbers, credit card numbers, social security numbers, employers, pay, supervisors, family members, neighbors, licensing information and other VERY personal information shipped to a foreign country just so he can save a few bucks on labor.

Richard, how DUMB are you? A thorough search of your website does not give a HINT to the fact that you have taken it upon yourself to place this HIGHLY sensitive information on perhaps ten, or hundreds of thousands of AMERICAN citizens in the hands of a foreign nation where you have WHAT? Control over it.

How many of the creditors you collect for are aware of your stupidity Richard? INDIA is NOT AMERICA; they do NOT understand our laws, you have put many, many people at risk to line your own pockets, what kind of a NUT are you Richard? To say they are properly trained is ridiculous; to lie and tell anyone this information is safe is criminal. You have sent all this to one of the crime capitals of the world, that?s REAL bright of you Richard. Now you can make more money without worrying if your actions may result in additional crimes on innocent Americans.

Consumers are URGED to make Richard B. Hunter aware of his stupidity by immediately sending the FREE cease communication letter VIA fax to his offices in California. I also recommend that you warn him that he will be held liable for any intrusions into your personal records by anyone he out sources to.

Any organization doing business with Bay Area Credit Services and US Audit Control should be avoided at all costs. Richard B. Hunter, Bay Area Credit Services and US Audit Control should be placed on the watch list for Homeland Security; this man?s GREED is putting too many consumers at risk.
