Received  a call daily, when answering received an automated message to not hang up as someone from ERC wanted to talk to me then it hangs up. Finally called it back today after reading the other messages on here. I do not have any debt so I knew it wasn't for me. Pressed #1 to get my number removed. We'll see if that works. It said to allow 24hrs.

Use a call blocker. Then they can call all they want and your call blocker will hang up on them. I had this problem after I received a new phone number . The one who had it before must have been a real dead beat, because everybody was looking for him.

They called my home today, left the usual recorded message. I did some checking (their website and #) before calling them. Now they have a prompt 4 that takes you to a "representative". Within 30 seconds I was talking to a live rep who asked me if I was named xxxx...of course I am but I guess their assumption is that there is only one person named that... They also gave me an address (which wasnt mine) and a birthday (also not mine), and then concluded they had the wrong person... I think when they get a collection account, they google the name of the person and call everyone on that list..very sophisticated system they have going for themselves... Anyway she said that they'd remove my number from their list...very rudely I must add... Let's see if it works

Get calls from these 800 # all the time. Just ignore them. If they call too often I just block their calls.Just purchase a call blocker machine and enter their numbers. Works for me.

receiving calls daily. no message left on home number, then they call cell and leave a message and it is ERC. I read other replies and dialed the number and it gives option to be removed by pressing number 1, then enter 10 digit number. they say "will be removed within 24 hours."

Keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone.  No is there when I pick up the line.  Wish that they would stop calling.

800-576-1852 calling us every day, several times a day,  answer phone no one speaks,   I called back today and someone answered, I explained that I had no power of attorney over the person they were trying to collect the debt from and asked them to remove my number from the call list.  The person was polite and said he was removing the phone number but it would take a couple weeks (must have really slow computers) before the calls would stop.  We'll see what happens....

I am boring about this people..They called me three times everyday I am NOT the person they are looking for. Have called them back to remove my number but it didn't happen

Calls me ALOT!!! no caller ID available. I've called them back and got a recorded message. Then I called the number they left for me. Told them whom ever they are trying to reach "DOES NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!" guess they get understand "does not"..... they're still calling. I refuse to answer.

this number keeps calling me even after i have called them and told them to take my number off their call list. so annoying!!!

I called the 800 number; pressed 1 and talked to an operator who informed me that the number would be removed within 48 hours. She also gave me the name of the person associated with this number (new cell phone). Just to make sure, I also e-mailed the info link on their Web page. By law they must comply with the Fair Debt Collection Act, We will see if it works. It better or I will go next to the Attorney General's Office in Florida. Life's too short to keep getting these annoying calls.

I called them from work and they recorded this number and noe they are calling me there. Creepy!

8:00 am calls...nobody responds when i answer...stupid silent calls, and then "please hold " message continues forever

I don't have any outstanding debts. I got a missed call from these people, and they did NOT leave a voicemail. Followed the auto-prompts for wrong number, entered my number, and then got connected to a rep. The lady asked for my number and couldnt find it in the system. She asked for my name and social and i refused. Told her if she cant find me ill just ignore the call and hung up.

I got a call from this number looking for a woman named Brown.  It is a collection agent,

I called them back, pressed 1 and typed in my number, the computer said my number had been located and removed from their system. We'll see.

They've been leaving messages looking for someone not at this number, although she must have had this number at one point, because we've gotten calls from collections agencies for this woman for the past 3 years that we've had this number.

Anyway, If you call the number back, option #1 is to report a wrong number.  It's takes less than a minute to fix.  If you actually owe money and they are indeed calling looking for you, quit bitching and suck it up, and pay your damn debts.

They called me twice looking for a James Myer. This is most definitely a WRONG number!

It's a debt colleting firm with a wrong phone number.  I called the number back and took me a minute to get my number removed.  Not sure if it'll work, but the lady on the phone was friendly and prompt.  Hopefully that takes care of it.

you got that right! predators!, they called my 90 year old fathers phone and threatened him!! I am PO'D!

Called back and talked to an agent. His phone line is very choppy and he is very rude.

Total waste of my time when I called to request a stop on these calls. No information given over the phone about the debts ERC is trying to collect, but the lady asked for my personal information and I gave her none except my contact number. I think she (and ERC as well) is phishing for my info as to attempting for future criminal purposes. I've requested from her for a written explanation (if this is real collection agency?) on this matter so I could verify the validity of the so-call debts.
