Got a message from a Mike Williams for my child, using a nickname, telling her to call back to 800-264-6448. I called and it was a BOFA FIA number, they wanted her account number, I told them my child has no credit cards, and she was questioning me on that, I restated that my child has NO credit cards at all, and then she hung up on me.

While it was nice for Warren Buffett to bail them out, how nice is it of BOA to pursue people who owe a very small amount of money? Despite what previous postings say, most people who can't affored to pay their credit cards simply don't have the resources to do so. If BOA is not paying their bills, is Warren Buffett going to send out a collection agency to BOA? That would be a switch.

You are extremely fortunate that they did help you (if in fact they really did and you are not an employee of WHATEVER organization they say they are, posting bogus messages). I called them to try and negotiate a deal. After taking an honest look at my income/expenses, AND TRIMMING ALL THE FAT FROM THE BUDGET, I made them an offer stating that I can honestly pay them X amount of dollars per month. They told me that for any offer to be accepted, it had to be at least 10X - 15X amount of dollars per month. When I told them that if I submitted payments in that amount, I could not pay rent or buy food, they said "too bad". Good luck to you and them and me.

Obviously, sir (or madam), your name does not reflect the knowledge you have concerning this particular subject. The vast majority of people who owe money on credit cards would be delighted if they had the financial means to pay their bills. I hope you don't lose the obviously lucrative job you have which enables you to pay your credit card bills, and does not force you to buy food and clothing for your family by using credit cards. The best available research indicates that this number belongs to FIA Card Services. WHo or what is FIA Card Services? Anyway, they called a friend of mine who I haven't from in over 15 years (we simply lost touch). The reason why she called me at all is because they called her father (who recently had major surgery and suffered a stroke in the process). She told me if they ever again called her or her father, she will sue. I told her that if there was any help she needed from me, she should call me whenever she needed. I found out that they got her father's number by searching for phone numbers tied to the same last name in the same area, and her and her father happen to live in the same area. I guess I should thank the person who made these calls (except for the one to her father), as these calls help put me in touch with a long lost friend, and I ma happy about that.

BoA just got a handout from Warren Buffett.  Looks like they aren't paying their bills!

Some of us are not paying our CC bills b/c of medical reasons. We are unable to work b/c of our medical situation. What little money we do have goes to paying more important bills - housing, utiities, etc. Yes the debt is mine but the CC company is low priority on my list of people I owe money to.

My bills are all paid- the guy who called from this number was looking for my brother and sister-in-law.  I don't think that bill collectors should call and bother me if my brother doesn't pay his bills.

Just recieved a call at work from Dave Gray, Ext 53134. Said that Debt Negotioations were bogus and would not represent me in court. Became very aggressive and offered to settle the debt for 25% over 5 months. He told me that Cease and Desist letters are meaningless. I asked him not to call my work and he said I could'nt stop him. Mr. Gray said that they would get me.I sked him several itmes to Call my Negotiaters but he refused. I hung up on him.
He would not identify his company but gave me a number and extension.

Have gotten several calls from the jerks at this number: 800-577-2490.  Caller named Andrew Rogers.  He called all of my neighbors (6 of them) asking if they knew where I could be located.  They claim to be Bank of America.  From reading numerous other sources on the Net I believe that they are actually a company from New York called Collectors Interchange.  Extremely rude, aggressive, threatening.

I just received a call from "Frank Carum".  he asked me for Nicole Fauley.  Hes a FRAUDDDD!!!! Never take calls from them

Let me guess Big Daddy Dennis, you owe this credit card company money and now you think that you don't have to pay it back.  Real shocker that this would be the way that you would respond.  I am sure if you owed the money, it HAD to be someone else's fault!  Far be it for you to take some responsibility.

Big Daddy Dennis gives you permission and he says 'it's ok for you to be mean and rude to these people.'  They are not your friends!    They are not family, and they really, really, really don't like you!      They are out to get you, to do you harm, to make you suffer, to go after you. So protect your family, stand up to them and     give it back to them!  You have to tough and stand up.  You can do it!

This will work in most cases, I'm speaking from first hand experience here.  If the debt is sold to another collection agency they will call.  So do it again.  Remember, they are not your friend.

They've called twice in two days, 'urgently' looking for my father and mother in law.  For some reason, they said our phone number was the information provided on my in laws account.  At first, I was angry that they'd do this, but then my husband told me our relatively new home number was one his parents did not have. Only our cell phone numbers.  So how'd this 'card services' get our number?

I think they've got cross reference guides and will call anyone in town with the same last name, hoping for a bite.  I did give them some numbers for the people they are asking for, because I want them to stop calling me.

They were more than willing to share private information about my in laws account with me, a person who identified myself as NOT being either of them, nor having their account number.  Which I found very very odd.

My husband thinks they are phishing...but I think they're just a collection agency.  These agencies can be very underhanded and WILL call neighbors, children, any relative they can find, to pressure the person in debt to contact them..I think they do it primarily to embarrass them.  Not sure if it's legal.

i recieved a call from 18005772490. Some broad  was asking to speak with my parents. Told them that my parents are busy. They insisted to hold on until they can get a hold of my parents. i told her to provide me with her number and she gave me that number . She claimed to be from Bank of America Card  Services and that this is an urgent matter that needs to be resolved soon.  A search on google brought me to this site... Me thinks this is just a fraudelent call

got a cal from this #. they helped me when i was having financial diffuclty. good people and helping there cutomers when needed. just most of us are  to embarrassed to ask for help. i'm glad i called back.

The caller left a message on my Dad's phone, who lives several states away and was never listed on my credit accounts... it sounded like she said her name was "Tammy Faye".  I didn't talk to her or call back, but on the messsage she said she was calling from BOA.  She said to call extension 55320.

Sounds like they really want their money.  Maybe Congress can give more Federal Bail Out money, because with this sleazy "let's call the parents" technique, I'd rather go to jail than give one thin dime to these crooks.  Scumbags!!!

We don't have any outstanding credit card bills - so that is NOT the issue.

Received a call from Dave Gray representing himself from Bank of America.  He used my mother-in-law's name (not mine) and she doesn't live w/us.  He requested we call back immediately as something is urgent.

When you call the number, it is represented as a card service - felt wrong.  I reported it to BOA - they have an abuse e-mail you can report issues to.

I am sorry to tell you all but this is Bank of America. BOA now services many different credit cards. BOA bought out MBNA in October 2006.  The credit card division is FIA CARD SERVICES, and the phones are answered " Card Services " because they service so many different credit cards.  PAY YOUR BILLS AND YOU WON'T GET THE CALLS !!!!

Got a call from this number - i don't even have an account with BOFA.  the guy i talked to was Micahel Haynes, but that was probably bogus.  I talked to another lady named Lisa - she inadverantly said that they were in Ohio so I'm guessing they're here:

When my mother passed away, she left a MBNA credit card debt which was in her name only. Their collectors demanded that my father pay it and REFUSED to provide documentation that his signature was also on the original contract.

If I had known then what I now know, they wouldn't have gotten a DIME out of him before he also died!

Received a call from card services from Dave Gray.  He wanted us to go to a neighbor's house and tell them it was important for them to call this number 1-800-577-2490 ext. 53134.  My husband called them to find out who they were and he said he was with Bank of America.  My husband told him that he had a lot of nerve to want us to go next door and deliver a message.  The neighbor has an unlisted phone number.  My husband told him that we would never consider doing business with Bank of America!  This is totally ridiculous!

calling my home phone looking for my ex-husband of whom i've been divorced from for over 6 years and never had that phone number.  I spoke to a britney at extension 52256.  asked her how she got my number and said i was listed on a family search.  i told her she was mistaken.  i told her to stop the harassing calls, even gave her numbers of his mother and brother.

Same trying to get bank account number and social security number along with phone numbers and address.  Identity Thieves! Beware

Received call from 800-577-2490 x52253 today, but it was for my brother-in-law. Person's name was Andrew with Bank of America. I called back, answered as "card services," and said they work with Bank of America and MBNA.
