You used to work for them..maybe you can help me. I bought a house with a box of their product found under a sink..$150 worth. Is it still good to use? Was it EVER good to use? It is septic helper and the invoice is dated 1996! A friend pour a gallon of dirty grease down my disposal last night and I am hoping this stuff will help ..I am on septic.

I used to work for these hard-ons back in the late 80's, when they were located in Larchmont, NY; under the name "Krane Products Inc.". This was before the "do not call list" era. The company was founded by their old man, and I have to say, it was a real pisser to work there. We had a few salespeople who were funnier than hell. They deviated from the pitch so greatly, in order to move product, that it was absurd!!

Anyway, as I recall, Gary was a cool guy, and his brother Steve was a prick of the highest caliber. Regardless, it's sad that they've fallen so low as to be thus maligned. They need to get their collective heads out of their a***s, and develop a decent online marketplace for their wares. If they're still truely doing a telemarketing business, that is beyond sad.

At about 8:45 am EST the phone rang again with this number on the caller ID. The answering machine picked up and the person on the other end left a "message". There was a lot of muffled banging around followed by what sounded like a little ditty played with their hand in their armpit. I had to laugh. They call a couple of times a week and at all hours. I did buy their septic tank treatment many years ago but discontinued when I found research that disproved their products. I'm going to try to make a computer recording of the above song and post the link where it can be listened to.

It upsets me to see so many bad review about a company that has always been very cordial with me. I have never had a serious problem with FBK. If EVERY customer was dissatisfied im sure they wouldnt still be in business

This is exactly what has happened to us, except they call DAILY, AT LEAST ONCE, sometimes more. They are rude and pushy and won't take "no" for an answer. The number that FBK is calling from lately is 561-962-0988, in case anyone out there would like to avoid their harassment. There are many numbers they call from, but they all have area code 561. That is in Florida, and I believe the caller ID at one time said, "Boca Raton".  I have just been hanging up the phone when I see them on the caller ID. I want to warn everybody...DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM FBK because you'll never get them off your back, even when you've paid promptly for their product. I guess they figure you are a sucker for having bought something from them in the first place. BEWARE!

If you didn't purchase the septic remedy product, BE THANKFUL!!!!  The company is now calling the customers telling them to stop using the product b/c it "eats" up the entire septic system.  THIS I KNOW IS TRUE!!  Because my parents backyard where the drain lines and the septic tank is shows a depression line thru the yard and then there is a huge hole over where the septic tank is.  The grass is dying/brown over the entire length of the system.  In addition of course the entire system has to be replaced.  (AT THE CUSTOMERS EXPENSE OF COURSE)  But, the moron on the phone that called to tell them to quit using the product had the nerve to try to sell them so other kind of septic product.  Come on, do you really think they would want to buy another product from this company??  This is a rip off!

I'm pretty sure I've spoken to you - a LONG time ago. You were very professional, definitely NOT hard-sell. You seemed to have a great deal of integrity and were very helpful. Unfortunately, the company seems to have gone downhill very rapidly. Now, I take a great deal of what's been written with a huge helping of salt. I'd say that at least 50% of what's been written is true: the company is now hard-sell, it's very difficult to reach a live person - especially when it comes to cancelling warranty programs - and they're relentless in calling (I'm serious when I say I receive upwards of a dozen calls a day).

Perhaps you might talk with your managers about their tactics? Even if the product weren't very good (I won't debate that; I think it depends on the system and other issues as to whether or not it works), I think if they'd make the effort to NOT drive people crazy with all the calls and made themselves more easily reached, people might not be so angry with them.

I worked for a company with similar sales tactics. I didn't work in sales - thank goodness - but I did hear some of the horror stories from the people targeted for sales by it. At first, I just figured the people were exaggerating. Then, I was privy to a conversation between a salesman and a customer. It was terrible. I was so ashamed of the company's strategies, I ended up quitting as soon as I could find another job.

Frankly, I would rather dig ditches than work for a company without scruples. And, Frank, if you have as much integrity as I think you do, maybe you should consider finding another job before you get taken down with them.

I wish you luck, because I think you're going to need it.

I've had the some of the issues as everyone listed here: multiple calls (sometimes as many as a dozen in one day!); difficulty in contacting them to cancel my warranty; contradictory statements vis-a-vis what the warranty covers. I have been fortunate the my contacts have always been pleasant, just "confused" about what is or isn't covered in the contracts, warrantees, etc.

In light of my inability to contact anyone so that I may cancel my septic warranty and the multiple complaints others have had, I would urge folks to stay away from this company. I did have faith in them ages ago when I first purchased my septic remedy from them, but have lost it due to the recent hard-sell tactics and poor customer service.

I got a prank call from these scammers on 3.11 about having a septic service product they wanted to sell to me. I told the female I am on the county sewer system. She sounded very let down in her reply. Now that I see that these scammers have been busted I am glad. Seeing Kranz and LLC associated with this place, that is enough to stay away. I NEVER deal with an LLC! The few times I did, it was totally a nightmare with highly rude and incompetent warm bodies.

Why would someone, trying to get my business call me at 7AM on a Saturday morning? I received a phone call around 7AM. When I answered the phone there were people laughing and joking on the line. When I said hello repeatedly, no one answered me.This has happened many times in the past on different days and all times of the day. Today I hung up and returned the call, but no one answered on the other end. Is this some kind of harassment? What is wrong with thse people? I have politely asked many times to be removed from ALL of their lists.  I do not want to buy anything from this company or any of its sister companies.

I have also been receiving phone calls at all hours of the day and night. In the past Ihad purchased products for my septic tank. I even purchased the septic tank insurance. After reading the unfavorable reports on the company, I decided not to purchse any more product and did not renew my insurance. These people do not take no for an answer. I have been very paitent and tell each new caller to take me off the list, but they keep calling. It's wierd, because sometimes when I answer the phone I can hear people talking and laughing, but they aren't talking to me. I call them back and no one answers the phone. Today, Saturday, I got a call at 7AM. Again there were people laughing and joking, but they would not answer me when I said hello. I called the 800# and again asked to be taken off the list. She hung up on me. Does anyone have any phone numbers for the owners, managers, CFO ....? I would like to call them next Saturday.
Has anyone had any luck getting rid of these people? Can the BBB help?

I have filed complaints in both GA & FL concerning FBK's failure to honor a septic warranty during 2009; stuck us w/the bill despite County requirements to replace tank & piping - all covered supposedly. Received numerous rude phone calls from Lance after we refused to continue warranty. Actually received some help from Karen (Billing/Q&A) and Patrick, although still can't get any reimbursement for the $6K spent on the new septic system & drain field.

According to their call today - I purchased the septic cleaner in 2005!! Despits 20 demands to take me off of their calling list, the calls continue - 8 am, 9 pm...doesn't matter that my husband and I often work off shifts, but don't turn the ringer off, since we have kids in elementary school.  Today's caller stated that they are "going commercial, and are only going to sell to plumbers, and septic tank pumpers". Since I'm a 'preferred customer' they were giving me a last chance to buy their product. If what she said was true, which I doubt, I shouldn't get any more calls (I am neither a plumber or honey-dipper). The frustration of not being able to stop this is maddening. I see I am not the only one.  Any help, short of changing my phone number would be appreciated.

I've never bought anything from them and I am being called, and they promise to take me off their list and ask me questions about do I have a septic system. I don't...I have a full blown sewer system that I pay fees for to the Health dept and to a service man all mandated by my county. I have a new number, I am on the do not call list and last month my answering machine now say, "this number is on the govt's do not call list. If you are a solicitor, hang up"
I'm inundated with calls from others also. I owe nothing to anybody and am mailing the list to the florida consumer division and the telephone co. My threat? I'll get rid of the land line.
I am not hiring a lawyer for my perfect American right not to be disturbed in my own house.

Received a call at 845 am on Sat.  I did purchase septic cleaner and a septic warrenty from FBK several years ago, but cancelled it after talking to my insurance agent and getting cheaper and better coverage through them.  I have asked at least (no exageration) 15 times to be removed from their call list over the past year.  It is getting so that when I see FBK on the callr id I go into "insane sailor" mode and four letter words begin forming in my mouth before I even pick up the phone!  Today I tried to reason with the "salesman".  I told him we no longer had the warrenty that he was claiming we had and that my insurance company covered my septic now.  He argued with me!  I asked for his name, he wouldn't give it.  I asked for a supervisor, he said he was one!  I told him he should give me his name so I would have something to call him besides as*ho**!  He seemed suprised.  He told me he would call me back tomorrow, I said you go ahead and do that and I will start leagal proceedings for telephone harassment.  Gee, he hung up on me!  I called the number back and actually got through to someone who answered like it was a business.  I asked for a supervisor or manager and was put through to a Sam.  He said he would try and help me by deleting my number out of the upcoming sales pitches, but I may still get calls relating to thing that I have purchased in the past.  If I get these calls I am to cut off the sales pitch and ask for Sam.  We will see if this goes anywhere!

They have been calling me almost every morning a little before 8:00 AM from phone number 973-512-4230. When I answer the phone they hang up. Once they even called in the afternoon and again hung up when I answered. This morning they didn't call until after 9:00 AM and someone named Lisa did talk to me when I answered. She said I owe FBK money and she was going to turn me over to collections if I did not pay by 1:00 PM today. She gave me 1-800-577-6384 as a phone back number. I informed her that I returned the product in question over three years ago and didn't owe them anything. She wanted to know why I had already paid $110 dollars if I returned the product. I paid that money because I was not aware that I could return the product (Which, btw, was not the actual product that I ordered). Once I found out I could return it I did. Of course, she wanted proof that I returned the product...from THREE YEARS AGO! Who keeps those kind of records? But I guess with this company you have to. Gee all I have to do is give Lisa a credit card number to pay this debt...when a certain post-mortem destination freezes over!
