You can always call your phone company and have them block all calls that don't give a number or who is calling. The message will say that to the party on the other line and your phone won't even ring.

EVERY day I receive a call from this 800# and when I answer it is a recording asking me to call back with regard to a given reference #. I pay my bills, taxes and have good credit, so I am not sure WHO this is. EVERY day the call and it is getting quite annoying.

this was a call from a doctor's office trying to confirm an appointment.

I also had money taken from my checking account on 11/20/08 from this number.  I called and cancelled my debit card.

Got a call from this number, said she wanted to speak to xxx. Told her not here. She wanted to leave her name and number, asked her what it was about, she said it was about a tax filing. Said had contacted the IRS. Wouldn't tell me who she was with but after 30 seconds of bantering back and forth she said fine, I will just "send this thru". I said I will be happy to take the name and number down but I demanded to know who this was since she was calling about my wife and she could deal with me. She finally got frustrated and hung up. It was a debt collector .

Same deal as the rest of comments.  A .26 charge from ADELE services with this number showed up on my credit card.

My credit card was charged $ .24 on 11/20 from Adele Services 800-578-9641, I had to cancel my credit card.  Someone obviously is fraudulently using credit card numbers.

I had a .26 cent charge on Nov 21st from Adele Service. I had to cancel my card and my bank(Citizens) would not reverse charges.  I have not used this mastercard bank card in over a year but I would have used it at Amazon.  I have never heard of that other one.  I also have a paypal account which I saw allot of people had on the other site about these charges.  Does anyone have one of those maybe?  The other site people also ask you to report your charges to www.ic3.gov/ and/or call the FCC at 1-877-382-4357.  It seems these people are hitting up millions of people for simular charges so they are making out like bandits and the theory is that they are just testing your card to see if it's active and then during your christmas rush spending they will slip in higher charges and most people won't even notice.

same thing as above I just found it on my account and cancled my card now I have to call the c/u and get new card and mak sure that they keep an eye on that I never got a call and took .22 out and messed me up for the next 2 weeks till I get a card. Me too. same identical...deduct .26c from c/u bank acct. Tried to take my daughters out to dinner and embarrasingly my card got denied three times, even though I had nothing on hold and 450.00 available...Im tired of these scammers...and yes,,,last week I had bought CD's from Amazon for a friend of mine.  filthy b*****d scammers...same ADELE peoples from NY.

They hit me up for 23 cents also.....But they hit a few people at my bank so they automatically canceled my card for and are sending me out a new one.....

I suggest you  CANCEL IMMEDIATELY after they see that your card is active they will probably go crazy

this morning I woke up and saw that 0.26 had been taken from my debit card account from adele services in new york. I am cancelling my card now because I'm afraid that they will try to take more.  I've been reading the other posts and i have also used amazon.com in the past.
