Caller said that I was chosen to receive a grant in the amount of 5,000 dollars. He said I would just have to leave 29 dollars in there for a processing fee. They called me back today(when the money was supposed to be in my account) and said I had to go to a western union and send 50 dollars to Sat Parkash in Goa, India and then I would receive my money. They have my bank information!!!!!

The caller said that I was going to recieve 100.oo dollars for 6 months Then I was called and told that I would recieve 2000.00 dollars. The first caller said in a matter of days the next caller a female did'nt say when. I was told to sign up for a free trial membership but I had to cancel if I did'nt want to continue the subscription. The subscription was for free long distance. The money was for social security money for paying my taxes on time they also new how long I had my telephone number.

S*** i knewi should have looked it up first!!! they just got me 5 minutes ago!!! there has to be a way to ue these b*****ds...how did they have my checking account info???

these people called me too i gave'em my account number like a dumbass! how did they know who i was and that i was just asking social services about grants? lucky there isnt any money in the account.

That's interesting that the last person's name was Trista. My name is really and truly Tristan and the same scam happened to me. They've called a couple of times but I was never stupid enough to give them any information. I only tried to keep them on long enough to figure something out about them. The callers always sound foreign (not from the U.S.) and always have a celebrity's name for a pseudonym. Seriously, I just got off the phone with this guy, screaming at him "YOU ARE NOT JAMES BROWN, JAMES BROWN IS DEAD!".

THIS NUMBER CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THEY WHERE THE I.R.S AND I WAS ELGIABLE FOR A 5000.00 DOLLAR GRANT. THEY ALSO TOLD ME TO LEAVE 29 DOLLARS IN MY ACCOUNT FOR A SERVICE FEE. I NEVER RECIVIED ANY MONEY AND I GAVE THEM MY BANK INFO. THE NUMBER THEY GAVE ME WAS 1-800-581-4726!!!

Caller said that I was randomly chosen to receive a US government grant of $3,500. He wanted me to leave $29.95 in my bank account after the money was deposited the next day. He provided the following numbers:
