Comes up Private Caller. They finally left a message that "I need to call them back so they can set up my SEO for my new INTUIT website". BS! I have been using intuit for my web hosting for 2 years, and its actually all through Bigcommerce now. They make it sound like they are from Intuit. sleezy.

Yes, same situation here.  Called Intuit and it was not them.

Googling that number took me to this page.  My call said this is doug from intuit and they needed to reset my internet connections to the page or something like that.  I emailed intuit with the number and am waiting to hear back.  I think it's a scam.  I am sure they will need passwords, etc. so I just hung up.

Don't be so quick to blame Yahoo - this company may have gotten your number some other way.  I don't have any relationship with Yahoo and yet this company also called me.

These guys just left a message on my phone number (and Google Voice transcribed it):

"Hello, this is Nick with E MI calling to go over some pre set up Options for your new website. Apparently, we've been able to get a hold of you over the last few days, so hope we have the right phone number. If not, disregard. Again, we are here to go over some pre set up options, and you can reach us back directly at 1(800) 582-1334 again. That number directly is 1(800) 582-1334. When you give us a call back, we'll be able to go over these pre set up options, with your schedule a time that's more convenient for you. Have a great day and we look forward to serving you. "

The problem this - I don't have a new website - and I've probably got more experience setting up websites and doing SEO on them than any of these bozos.  This sort of marketing is sleazy at best - lying to me on a voice mail is the lowest of low.

I purchased a domain through YAHOO and I just got a call from this number asking me to call back to talk about building the website for my business. I am so upset that I will cancel everything with Yahoo. This is spam. Idiots.

This is a marketing company that searches for new web businesses and attemts to get your trust with common facts that the average person can get in a book and then hit you with well that sounds great if you would like leads or to increase your hits on your site we can set you up...   thats where the $$$$ comes in to play.   what is your web site?  there are many way for free to get your site out in the public areas.  Myspace, youtube for a couple.

A Google search show that this is a marketing company "New Liberty Marketing" based in NV.  Of course, they did not state this fact when they left their message on my answering machine.  Most likely they are trying to sell advertising and marketing for your website.
