I come from the real estate / fraud / identity theft industry.  The problem I saw is that they are advertising in apartments, and the ad states an apartment rental, and they just reduced all of their rates. Of course, I would never call, but the mere fact that they entice people with wrong information even if they have foreclosure listings is fraud advertising.  All legitimate on-line services that list true foreclosure homes is about $65-$80 a month with new listings every month. $200 for a one time listing is an odd way to present the service, ad if they hang up and give you no way to check them out?  Well, I'm more inclined to believe that the person called Jason is one of 'them' and the fraud info listed by the others is true.  In this economy there are very few true rent-to-own homes anymore, as the payment would not cover the mortgage probably and the banks have too much inventory, they woul rather sell at a loss and get rid of inventory. If someone is willing to rent at a decent price, then it would probably be with the owner making the difference, but the reason most homes are having a problem is due to homeowners interest rates too high or job loss, thus a result of short-sale homes or foreclosures, non of which you can get on a rent-to-own basis.

I'd also suggest that when you see these ads on Craigslist, you flag them as either Prohibited or Spam, since they don't belong in the Housing: Rental area at all. The only place this pseudo-company should be posting on Craigslist is in Services: Real Estate...but of course, they won't find as many victims that way!

Zingow is a scam, plain and simple. They have an "F" rating with the LA BBB, and employ very shady/unethical tactics. Don't ever give them your credit card number as you will get charged and won't get a penny back. AVOID.

they also use the #'s 1-800-274-6186 and 1-800-260-0295     They are owned by Lotus interworks AKA All Conferencing   http://www.allconferencing.com/

they scamed me out of my credit card and I had to cancel my account after the thieves stole my money, I did a little research and they are linked way back with online scams and schemes such as   www.approvalagent.com www.homeaccessusa.com (GOOGLE THIS COMPANY)   www.orangefuture.com and are now www.zingow.com

Jason do u work for those thieves? I also was was lied to by their "salesman". They told me "to get in line" to sue them. This entire scam is run out of a small garage office with 1-2 people(depending on who partied last night) and is a nothing more than a front for piece of s*** humans stealing from those who can least afford it. Y cant a plane drop on their office?

It's legit...I was super leary at first but after they confirmed it was a list of pre-foreclosures and the money was 100% refundable if I didn't find what I was looking for, I said what the heck. I got it about three weeks ago and found a property. They do all the work for you including title search and quick deed. You deal with the owner of the home whom is about to go into foreclosure. You pay only the amount remaining on the loan to save the owners credit and get him out of the loan. The loan is secured by the equity in the home. If you don't believe me, try it for yourself...your loss if you don't...

This is a SCAM they have ads all over CL with pictures of luxury homes you can live in for no money down and no credit check. They list the rent way below market to get lots of calls. When you call they try and sell you a list of homes they claim to represent for $200.

Yes, the $199 application fee is funny - the payment should go the realtor through the close of escrow.  You have to pay the money before you can even see the inventory.  I don't think so...

Called, and spoke to someone who referred to me as "sweatheart", so I asked if he could please not call me sweatheart so that we may have a professional conversation and then he hung up on me. I called again, because I thought we were disconnected and then someone named chris picked up and when I asked what was the name of the company he represented, he hung up on me again. SCAM ALERT!

Talked to someone about a rent to own.  No credit check.  No money down.  Sounds too good to be true.  I'm going to get a little more information.  Sounds kinda like a scam.  But they didn't ask for my ss# or anything like that.  Soooooooo........
