Sorry, I forgot to type this in as I find it to be important to share this with anyone reading.  IF YOU CAN'T TAKE THESE CALLS ANYMORE AND YOU'RE STILL GETTING UPSET BY CALLERS THEN JUST CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER FOR GAWDS SAKE.  IT'S EASIER TO DO THAT AND IT'S YOUR RIGHT AS WELL.  TAKE SOME FRESH ADVICE AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF FIRST AND WHEN YOU GET BACK ON YOUR FEET, TAKE CARE OF YOUR DEBTS.

I just recently started receiving phone calls from 800-589-8506.  It is my practice to never deal with anyone that doesn't leave a full message.  I don't answer anyone when all they give you is a name of a company that I never heard of and an 800 phone number.  Could simply be anyone for all I know.  I lost my job due to the recession and simply will not acknowledge any call from callers I don't know.  My plan is that when I truly get back to work at a job I can depend on to sustain my life, then and only then I will go to a reputable credit counselling agency (which I have one) and slowly put my financial life back together and clear up matters wherever they've gone wrong.  Until then, everyone can go pound sand.  I have suffered their tactics, threats and everything imaginable that they can put you through and have found the best method to deal with them is not to deal with them at all and fix your life as soon as you can.  Yes, I have some bills out there but no, I'm not going to be harrassed over something I don't have any money to pay or any real control over.  You can't get blood out of a stone.  I just wish these azzholes would read this.

Just on this page, the responder 'DCS' mentioned that they called from a different number, only Sunday, Sept 20 at 1210 pm they called me...any legitimate business does NOT do business on a Sunday. Furthermore, any legal claim to financial responsibility MUST be sent through the United States mail service...there is nothing to stop agencies like this to make a false claim invoking fear to get "anybody" to believe they have an unpaid debt from which to draw funds from.

I finally called this number back after them calling me for the last 6 months, and the lady pulled my info up just by my phone number(which I did not provide to her), and then wanted me to confirm my last 4 of my Social Security Number(SSN).  When I wouldn't she said they were going to forward my information to legal(I thought this was a law firm????) then proceeded to tell me that she couldn't give me any information about what this was concerning until I gave her that information.  Then she said they have sent 2 letters out about the issue, but I have not received any letters from them and when I asked if they would send me another one since I didn't feel comfortable giving her my SSN, she said they were not going to spend anymore money sending me another letter. The company she said she was with is Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A.

I have been getting calls from 800-837-6008 for YEARS!! I am sick, sick, SICK, of these asshats calling me! Yes, I had some debts because of disability, but ALL of the debts have already been adjudicated. I am simply uncollectable because I am permanently disabled.

Where is this perfect world where lawyers and collection agents live? Seriously, where the hell is it? Someone send me an e-mail(kwmtole@yahoo.com) with the address for this nirvana. I'd like to visit this place.

Hey there, anyone who gets a call from these f****, dont give in i just bought a forclosed home and had a new phone installed with a listed number, big mistake these toilet feeders got my address and thought i was the previous deralict owner who never paid his bills, so they left me 3 messages with this number, so i called them during the day and gave them a mouth full of profanity, and they hung up on me, so i called back got a differant person who heard my vebal attack and he wanted to hang up so off i went on him and i call back 5 times again and they answered so i let it rip, just no threats as they may be recording, but  it worked cause a month already went by and no calls. Dont take no s***. F*** these low lifes who buy outstanding debts for penny on the dollar, and try to recover money. Call back and give them s*** like i did.

These people call my father once a day and have for several weeks. I answered once and told them this was not my phone number, but my 90 year old father and would they please stop calling him and getting him upset. I don't owe anybody money, but I did have a car reposessed in 1999, and this could be their intent to collect on a ten year old debt. I'm not sure how to appraoch this, any advice would be welcomed...

On answering the call I was forced to wait for a response from the caller.
The first thing heard from the caller, a male, was ?Can I speak to Erin.?
I asked the individual ?Who is calling?
Individual hung up!

Nor are they compling with the laws regarding collections.
Such calls can be considered nothing but harrassment.

I received a call from this number and when I called to ask what it was about she would not give me any information until I confirmed my address after I wouldn't give the last 4 of my social. I said I wouldn't and give me the address she had. The lady accused me of being difficult and said that they mailed me multiple things. I have not received anything and my address hasn't changed in 4 years. She continued to say I was being difficult for being cautious and said "Good luck. I'm ending this call". What is this all about?

ALSO FOUND OUT THEY HAVE AN OFFICE IN MI, WILL FILE COMPLAINT THERE AS WELL.  MOST CAN BE DONE ONLINE - CAN'T HURT...

ALREADY FILED COMPLAINTS WITH STATE OF OHIO ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICES, STILL GETTING CALLS.  THEY ALSO HAVE OFFICES IN PA AND IL - WILL FILE COMPLAINTS WITH THOSE STATES AS WELL AS MY OWN IN NV.  WHAT A PAIN IN THE ***

Receive this call several times a day, sometimes back to back within the space of 5 minutes. Nothing more specific than the Company name and number is left. They never ask for anyone specific, who the call is for or what it's in reference to.

Collectors are only allowed to contact you ONCE every 30 days, and call you ONCE per day, UNTILL YOU TELL THEM TO STOP (Search Cease & Desist letters online).  

Document everything & Sue them for harrassment... it's $5,000 PER VIOLATION :)

Once they have a judgment against you they do not have to provide Debt Validation per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA). This is because the judgment is already considering that the debt was validated.

If you were never notified of the suit you were probably a victim of what is known as 'Sewer Service'. This is where they 'serve' you at an address you have not lived at for years, even though they know that is not your current address. This is so you are unaware of a suit making it impossible for you to show up and defend yourself. At which time they get the default judgment.

So the first thing to do is go to the Clerk of the Court where the suit was filed. You need the entire suit, most important you are looking for the 'Proof of Service'. This is the declaration of how you were served. If there was improper service you can file a motion with the court to have the suit vacated. At which time the judgment and lien will be placed aside. They then may sue you again, but this time you can have a proper defense.

If this is the case you may be able to have some 'fun' with them. If you find out that the proof of service was forged in any way, or that they in fact did serve you at an address they knew was not yours.  Not only do you have a good chance of getting the suit dismissed but you may be able to turn around and sue the collection agency
and attorneys involved. In a worst case (for them) you may even be able to get the attorney disbarred for improper actions.

This is another bottom feeder collection agency, I sent a nasty letter with all the Free information from the internet regarding the previous harasser Coleman & Associates.  Apparently my research had paid off- 3 days after sending the letter I never heard from those people again. Apparently they have sold the lead to this company.  Here is was you do folks, -Do not be afraid or scared of thease people either- If original collector has charge off your collection-over 7years old- they cannot collect because the company has already received a credit from the IRS.  Do not ever give up your civil rights in court(IF YOU DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS) THEY CANNOT GARNISH YOUR WAGES{I know this from a coworker who was taken to court by a credit card company}-Look up the corporate information with the Dept of State for the collection company-you can stockholders names, home address, other companies the person owns-
Also refer your harrasser to the local State Attorney's Office or State Attorney General( Thease numbers are available on the internet or believe or not the old fashion phone book} You can get alot dirt on thease collectors from the internet by searching.  I will be sending this company a nasty letter today after doing my research.  Trust me I think the last agency did want to have anything to do with me after what I sent them.

My father who is 80 years old and not in the best of health and suffering with beginning stages of alzheimers received a call from these scum bags.  They told him he owed on a credit card for Chase and some loan.  He doesn't even have a Chase account.  They gave him a reference number to call them back and were very nasty with him.  He didn't even know what they were talking about.  I am going to write to them to cease and desist and to validate any debt that they claim he owes.  These people are all lower than pond scum.  One day I hope this all comes back on them.
