Getting calls from this number lately. Any idea who?

Yes, I keep getting that, too! Message from Laura James at 800-601-6161. They're looking for someone who isn't me. They didn't specify debt collection but rather referred to a "business transaction."
I finally called trying to let them know that the person doesn't live here and to stop calling. A computer system answers, and in order to speak with a live person, you have to enter your phone number. Then it says they are transferring you, but the same message comes up to enter your phone number again. It never ends. Wonder what damage I've done by punching in my number?

Automated message keeps coming to my home phone from this number but you can never speak to a live person. I am not the person they are supposedly calling. They say they are a debt collection agency calling for another place where money is owed. I think they just want you to enter your credit card info.

800-601-6161 has been calling every morning @ 8:0 to 8:05. They are apparently looking to collect student loans or bad depts, or simply ski[ tracing with an autodialer. They are looking for people with my last name.
Is this what the TARP is all about?

Get calls from this number everyday. Not sure who it is or what they call for but they may be associated with jobconnectionsource.com. I got this call and didn't answer, then seconds later got a text message from Melissa at jobconnectionsource.com which I understand is also a scam website.

Just got a call from 1-800-601-6161. Have no idea who it is. I've been getting calls from several 800 numbers on a TracFone I recently purchased. One is a T-Mobile billing number, so apprarently TracFone buys old, no-longer-used numbers and recycles them. I'm assuming this number is probably another creditor, but I could be wrong.
