You may receive a pre-recorded call claiming to be from a person with one of these names. DO NOT return the call. Report the telephone number, date, and time of the call to this site and to consumer complaint agencies. "Leading Edge Recovery" is a scam, do not respond to their calls.

I also received a call at home telling me to return his call about an "important matter"  The person identified himself as Luis Filbin on my answering machine.  I'm sure it's just some advertisement or some sort.

I got a call from Mr. Johnson at Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC trying to collect a debt.  These people are unprofessional and rude.  They are very persistent and will call repeatedly until you tell them in a very aggravated tone that the person they are looking for is not at that number.

this number calls me about 12 times a day then takes a week off. I have had one message demanding i return their call. its a scam

I called them back I tried to leave Luis a important message not to call me again and was told they were looking somebody named Preston and would not take my number off the call list until I told her I wasn't Preston but was very pissed off with her

if they are doing these things then we need to report to them to the FTC and the State Attorney General - FDCPA/FCRA violations are a minimum 1000 per if you get an attorney that knows these lawa and is smart enough to go after these companies -

I started getting phone calls too.  I looked up the number online and found this.  Louis Feldman (although it sounded like Bellman to me) is leaving me messages too.  Nice automated thing that starts before my voicemail picks up.  I knew they would be collectors.

For anyone who is getting harrassed by them, you can sue.  They are NOT allowed to verbally abuse you, threaten you or treat you in any other manner that is hostile.  If you can record the conversations, that's even better for when you sue.  

There are certain steps you have to take.  I think you have to actually write a letter telling them not to call not just tell them over the phone.  

Thanks to this, I have the name of the company now!  The calls just started, but I know they won't stop.  I haven't called back, but I'm not going to.  I haven't paid because I've been thinking about filing for malpractice, but these idiots don't care about things like that.  They just want to get money.

received a call from a Leiksha Battles stating I owed a back debt. the dept is not even mine the social security numbers dont even match!! But sense some how my address ended up on the other persons credit report. they think I am responsible for it!!

Several calls on my cell phone asking me to "press 1", finally did so.  The male answering asked to speak to "Christine" (no Christine here), told him he had wrong number, not to call here again, and to put my name on do not call list.  At first he thanked me, but I believe he hung up abruptly before he heard the part about the do not call list.

I got a phone call from my EX-Wife saying she had been contacted by these people saying they needed to get hold of me and it was important.  I have been divorced from her for 8 years yet they called her and inquired about my phone numbers, work, home and cell.  Thankfully she didn't give them any information but said she would give me the message.  Matt Green was the contact.  

I looked up my voice mail messages and he had called my home number leaving a message about 5 minutes prior to her initial call to me to let me know they had phoned looking for me.  The message he left at my home number said the usual "important that I call" and that I needed to do so by 8 PM this evening.  It was cordial, at best, but now I am awaiting the next messages, which by accounts of others on this blog, will be harassing.

Vanessa Wilkins called for my neighbor. I enquired why she was calling me. She indicated that "they had added my name as a reference". I knew this is something they would never do. I told her I didn't believe that and I would not be forwarding her message. She then said "it would be in their best interest to contact us today". Her tone was threatening and left NO DOUBT that this was a collection call. I called back and spoke to her supervisor a Ms. M. Lynch who said she would remove my name from the account and then she actually started yelling at me and telling me not to call back. Of course, I called back a number of times and Ms. Lynch hung up on me repeatedly. Finally, a BJ got on the phone and I was able to get the address to this company to file a complaint:

and don't forget to file a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General who filed a lawsuit against this company in 2007. I don't know the resolution of the lawsuit but if this company is still up to its dirty tricks then it's probably not resolved.

I have had 3 or 4 calls from this company. They have been told I am not the person they are calling for.The 1st 2 or 3 calls from a Mrs Jones ext1570. She was insistent but not openly rude. However after I told her to take my name of her list she did make another call. Again told her to never call this number again at which time she requested my daughter's cell #. I refused and hung up.
  This am I got another call this time without the # blocked. The man was the rudest human I have heard.  Basically he threatend me and said I would get word to my daugter and have her call, Itold him this is harrassment and don't call again. He states he will call as often as he pleases and I can't do anything about it. Of course he was too much of a woos to give his name.

I will tell you this right now, these guys are the biggest do***ebags on earth (at least in the telemarketing world). I have been getting calls from them for a couple months now, but I have never called them back on account of their rude messages they leave me. Until today, when they started calling my home phone and talking to my parents.

Some guy named John Navarro called and said i had until Monday to call him back and get this settled. I called him back and was instantly greeted with rudeness by a guy named Matt Green. He then transferred me over to John Navarro and I talked to him about the debt i owed. First let me tell you that i have not gotten a bill for almost 8 months and have not been able to access my online account "due to maintenance." I know it sounds like a lie, but HSBC is a terrible, terrible company and this is what they do. (NEVER GET A BEST BUY CREDIT CARD! I should have known this as a have worked there for the past couple years, but i got one anyways) So now i have been unemployed for 2 months and this guy John tells me I have to pay a huge amount of money today or they will sue me. I tell him i will pay him less and he laughs at me. He tells me to borrow the money from someone or take out a loan, and i tell him no, i will pay you less and make payments. Then he calls my mom, but i told her the story before he calls. She picks up the phone and instantly they start yelling at each other. She tells him to fax over proof that i have gotten a bill in the last 6 months, and he says he can't. He then starts telling me I'm a lowlife cause i don't have a job and can't make my payments. He told my mom I am a lowlife about 6 times. She told him that she feels sorry for him, since he has to work in such a crappy job where he has act like such a douche all the time. His response was this, yet again talking s***, "At least I have a job unlike your lowlife son who can't even get a job." I realize the debt is my fault, but is there really any reason to be such a jerk about it?

We will definitely be reporting this company to the BBB, FDCPA, and the Illinois Attorney General.

I just got a cell call from "Hello... This is Mr.Louis from Chicago we have some information we need to discuss with you out of our office, It is urgent to contact us within the next 24hrs about this matter"... the badd thng is before he hung up he says "Good Luck"????.. at the moment im out of a job.. so im about to call back and find out wtf..

received a call from louis feldman to call immediately. the only way i knew it was leading edge is because of this sight. these people are harrassing they refuse to work with you. i'm tired of them calling me. I wished they'd lose the the number. I was paying a credit card debt, and they sold the balance to these people.  this is against the law. I will sue them if they don't stop. they call on my job and at home. i hate the answer the phone. this is crazy.

Yep, they're from Chicago, and just as 'wonderful' as these 5 reviewers saw them in their details: The 6th reviewer gave them glowing details. I've seen plenty of those dodges on these posts, those who compliment the collection agency, imm surpised theey neww howw too sppelllll.

I have been receiving harassing, automated calls almost daily stating "Hello, this is Louis Feldman. I have an important matter which needs to be discussed with you. Please press 1 to be connected to a representative, or return my call at 1-800-608-5339. This is not a sales call."

I called the number provided and they have repeatedly stated my number is not in their system so they can't help me. Yet the harassing calls continue.

I had a guy from this company, John Navarro, who called my neighbor. I don't know what he said to her, but she seemed pretty rattled by the call. These guys are way "over the top" with their collection methods. I filed a complaint with the FTC and the BBB. After reading these entries, I beginning to wonder of they're using their real names. Still, the company is taking a ton of bad hits and press. Maybe they will be out of business soon.

Leading Edge is out of Chicago they are debt collectors and they are incredibly rude and dont care about anybody.  They called my parents who live in different state and asked to talk to me.  

They repeatedly violate the FDCPA.  They are trained to talk down to you and verbally harass you.  These vultures prey on the innocent and bully people out of their money.  These are the same people that would steal money out of your grandmas purse at the nursing home and the same people who would knock your grandpa down in the street to steal his wallet.

NEVER TALK TO A DEBT COLLECTOR.. EVER.  It only makes things worst, because not only do they have a number to call but they know someone might answer and what happened to shannon from florida will happen to you.  They are being sued and need all the money they can get, DONT GIVE THEM A CENT.
Remember they have to PROVE you own them something.
