Absolutely no idea who they are. They tell my mother they mailed a let from Mr. Rodriguez for me to contact their office from 8-12 (yet won’t provide a company name). Then he rattles off an address to which I do not live. Would not leave nature of call or a first name. Then goes on to state my mother must call email or text me immediately at work because it is now time for the conference call with Mr. Rodriguez. Amazingly the story had changed and he would not give anymore information rudely stated something ridiculous then hung up.
When I called the number there was no company name just placed on hold music after the 3rd ring. No where to type in an extension that they had left us and some man answered who was apparently directing me to Mr. Rodriguez.
Well here's the real shocker…Mr. Bigly? or something like that answered and I said oh so you are Mr. Rodriguez and Mr. Bigly, to his surprise he had no idea he had been caught and said that Mr. Rodriguez would only talk to the person he is trying to contact directly.
Who is this gentleman to know who I am unless he had just spoken to me? Ironically no company name was ever given, and he stated it was illegal for him to tell me the nature of his call. Since when is it illegal to supply a company name? Well I guess tells you what kind of illegitimate company they are. My advice let them contact your attorney or have your attorney contact them.
I also filed a complaint with the BBB it took them quite awhile to find them it was not listed under the phone number they provided. We’ll see they have 14 days to respond.

I recently dealt with leading edge and spoke to a senior rep there! The best collection agency I've ever dealt with! The rep I spoke to was proffesional and very helpful she also made sure I had proper documents to settle my account. I have to admit I was skeptical about dealing with a collection agency, but I was treated with respect! Not to many collections agency outthere liked leading edge! Keep up the great customer service!

Hi,
I have received many calls from this number with the same message, but I never called back since they did not ask for anyone in particular. Tonight I got curious and googled the number. After reading your comments about this identity theft company, I decided to call Mr. MICHAEL CUNNINGHAM on behalf of all of you and leave a two word message for him. You guessed it right. F... Y..

These individuals called x5, inquiring "is Gaspar there?", for which I respond with, "I am not that person, this a pre-paid phone, how did you get this number, please remove this number phone your database, and don't call again asking for Gaspar". The only person I know by this name is a cashier at a Burger King, in Oceanside, CA who has transacted my bank debit card to purchase fast food. Any connection?

He says he is in Chicago. Name is Israel Garcia number is 1-800-608-5423.
VERY rude, ignorant and disrespectful, and are overly aggressive people.
Accused of being deadbeat, liar and thief.  Have asked them to send proof of debt (which the isnt) and they get even more aggressive and put a so called supervisor on the phone who is worse.  Then they called my parents how they got that number is unknown to me and acted all nice saying it was a claim and I was getting money and need to call him by noon the next day.  This is what they told my Mother ( "HE said it was about a claim and made it sound like it was a good thing. He said he needed to hear from you by noon today. I told him...that sounds suspicious to me...have to hear by noon today. He said, 'well, I have been trying to find him since in January'.  I have no idea what it is about but he asked me to please let you know he called and to give you his number.")
This has to be illegal for sure false pretense and more.

I got quiet a few messages left on my phone saying: they are not telemarketers or 1-800 people...that the message is urgent and requires immediate attention. I finally called the number back today. They were looking for the person who lived here before me. I told them not to call me anymore and the woman was rude and told me that they are not a 1-800 number and was looking for a person who did not live here. She also asked for my telephone number ( to look up something i presume ). Hopefully they will leave me alone now.

Called and left messages daily for about a week. When I called back, a very rude guy asked if I were Julia (I'm not).  He said there were 3 phone numbers on "Julia's" account and he needed mine to know which to take off.  I asked how he know which account we were discussing and he replied "Caller ID!"  When I asked why, then, he needed my phone number, he hung up.

This "Leading Edge" company calls everyday.  When I pick up, there is a recording saying "Hello, this is Michael Cunningham.  It is important that we talk to you.  Please call my number at 1-800-608-5423."  I have tried to dial them back to inform them that they are calling a corporate office, and to please remove our number from the list.  I was very polite-as always, because I am at work, and the phones are my responsibility.  When I give them the numbers that pool into my phone (as a receptionist, I have 3 lines-which the gentleman said "man-that's alot of work, and is going to take a long time to look them up"), they say they cannot locate the numbers in their system, and there must be a number that I am not giving them.  I inform them that there is not.  They then tell me, to call them back if we get another call.  I checked with our Business Phone Provider and made sure that those were the only three numbers that reach my phone, and they are.  So, today when I get the call, I immediately call them-as they requested.  I get someone else on the line, and they are, again, not very polite.  I have to go through giving them all three numbers again.  The lady then states that she cannot locate them in her system (surprise-surprise).  She then says, are you sure we are not looking for you?  I almost lost my cool then-but calmly told her-I'm absolutely positive that your company is not looking for my company-as we are a corporate office for Air Conditioning Systems.  She then stated that if we got another call to call them back, and she would get me to the IT department.  So basically-the call was pointless, I asked her if she could go ahead and transfer me to them since this was my second call, and everytime they call me-it takes away from me answering one of our Customer's calls. She told me to hold, I got silence, one busy signal, a couple of rings, and then click-apparently she hung up on me.  Giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they accidentally disconnected me, I immediately call back, and I asked for the gentleman's extension, he was very rude and wouldn't give it to me until he had my name...this was new. I gave it to him-but he never gave me his extension.  I explained the situation to him, and asked to be put through to IT.  He told me to hold, and I got music this time, then silence-I was let go again.  I call back, and now I am pretty frustrated and when the next guy answered, I was very straightforward and super professional.  I asked for his name and extension.  Told him the situation.  I again had to give them all three numbers.  Again-not in their system.  I tell the gentleman what happened and that I was told that I needed to talk to the IT department, but everytime I requested to be transferred-the people hung up on me.  He told me he would look into the situation, and put me on hold.  All the while-I'm having to answer the phones for my company...this is getting ridiculous.  He finally gets me back on the line and says he is having his supervisor look into the numbers I gave him.  That was fine, I told him I would hold, thinking finally to get to the bottom of this.  He comes back-and tells me that the numbers I gave were definitely not in their system.  I then asked for the IT department.  This is where he gets rude... He said he couldn't transfer me due to the fact that they were not allowed to transfer me there...WHAT?  I asked him-why then did the others tell me that was who I needed to talk to and then try to transfer me there???  He says "Mam, quit talking and just listen to me, I have a really bad toothache right now."  I think, OMG, is this for real?  I explain to him, that maybe I should run this by our legal department (yes we are that big of a corporation-worldwide), and he tells me..."Mam, that sounds like a threat."  I say no, I'm not threatening, it is my company's right to know what calls are coming through, and if they are a debt collection agency then that would be our accounts payable/receivable and legal departments.  (why does it bother him so much if his company was not doing anything wrong-if they had nothing to hide-he should have been fine with that) He then states that he will contact the IT department himself and have us removed from the list...  My thought is-wait a minute-didn't all the people form his company tell me I wasn't on that list????  If I get another call, I think I will let our legal department know.

I received the same standard message claiming the guy was "Michael Cunningham."

I know exactly who they were asking for, as many people keep calling for a Stephanie Jenkinson who apparently owes a bunch of money. Either that, or there's a huge scam in the works to keep harassing people who aren't even affiliated with this "Stephanie."

It was confirmed earlier in this posting that "Michael Cunningham" does not exist and is just a name to get people to call. My conversation went something like this:

Person: Hello, *mumbles something, probably the company name really fast*
Me: Hello, I had received a call from this number, and I'm calling back.
Person: We're looking for Stephanie Jenkinson.
Me: Ah, I am not Stephanie Jenkinson and do not know her. I get calls for her all the time as this is a cellphone and something must've got mixed up with her old house phone when I got this phone.
(Here's the good part)
Person: Okay, I'LL INFORM MR. CUNNINGHAM of the situation and remove the number from our system. *hangs up*

Inform Mr. Cunningham? Well, he's not real. So how are you suppose to "inform Mr. Cunningham?"

A couple months a go my uncle passed away.  His life insurance didn't quite cover the funeral expenses.  His checking account balance didn't even cover the current bills.  There were no other significant assets.

Somehow "Michael Cunningham" got the mistaken impression that I'm responsible for my deceased uncle's credit card debt.  They won't stop calling.

Just called them at 773-380-8800  Don't ask for that extension, simply ask for the IT department.  There are some very nervous IT Guys now that this number is released.  You can also leave a message when they get nervous and won't answer.  I simply asked to have my number removed immediately.
