I just received the same letter from Katie Smith with the same information. I did call to see what this was about because it did have scammer written all over it. If you don't make over 30,000 which they prefer 50,000. then they are not interested. I agree this is a scam 100% I just think people need to get out and get real jobs with honest incomes and stop trying to hurt other people. ASHAME ON THEM, IT WONT LOOK GOOD FOR THEM ON JUDGEMENT DAY...... Maybe our unemployment rate would go up with they got real jobs.

Got same letter from Katie Smith. My letterhead was "Morrison Centre". I wonder where that is. Same offer for free Android tablet. I have not called yet, but I am, and I will tell them our income is around 80,000. I wonder if that will be enough. I will also ask them where they got my name and address and see what they say.. Will post with results. Hand written envelope with pre- printed letter and signature.

same letter...inlet concourse...same return address and phone #. curiosity gets the best of me sometimes and maybe someone can help. where do they get their mailing addresses? how do they select recipients for this *amazing* offer? also, again, just too much time on my hands, i suppose..but addressing and stuffing these envelopes-- would that be one of those "work from home and make millions" kind of thingies? my offer was for an android tablet...would i pick that up AFTER sitting through some sales pitch about the latest, greatest time-share deal? i just want to know how the REAL world works.
so obviously a scam, and given the resort area in which i live (though i by no means live in anything "resort-y"), it's quite common to get this type of stuff...i still always wonder about behind-the-scenes kind of stuff...

I received my letter today 03/05/14, obviously they have my address, so if all I have to do is call why don't they just sent the item to me?

Festiva Resorts...it's a new way to get folks to their timeshare. In addition to the touch-pad... they also offer a resort 3 day/2 night cruise to Freeport or a stay at any other of their resorts. We have time to kill....so we are going! haha....
My parents and I went when I was 10 and we got a free computer! haha

I too have received a letter, same address, phone number, etc. from, "Inlet Concourse" In the tiny writing at the bottom of the letter, it states this is a travel promotion, It gives one the impression, to me, this is a scam.
Kit 2014-02-20 19:32:23 Unknown
I too received a letter so I blocked my number & called to ask to be taken off their mailing list -- well the girl gave me the number I was calling from so I disconnected the call -- so much for blocking one's number -- THIS IS A SCAM!!!

I am the proud owner of an Android Touchpad Tablet Conputer from the gifting department of Mountain Centre. Hahaha. Katie Smith Vice President of Carolina Awards Division told me so! All I have to do is call her at 100-610-5954 with my gift code 0205BAN33457 :)
So lame. I really feel bad for people who fall for these scams.

Lucky me! I too, am the recipient of a free Android Touchpad Tablet! This Katie Smith person sure must be a successful and busy person, seeing as how she is the Vice President of so many companies and so many diviosions.
VRDeal 2014-02-06 14:03:46 Unknown
I received a letter from Katie Smith, Vice President, Carolina Awards Division, PO Box 830, Daytona Beach, Fl 32118 with Mountain Centre as the "letterhead". It stated I was going to receive an Android Touchpad Tablet Computer from their gifting department at no charge. Simply call 1-800-610-5954 and reference the RSVP gift code at the bottom of the letter. Also noted there was no obligation to purchase or join anything when you accept your touchpad.

I did not get a call, but a letter in snail-mail with a letter head of "Adirondack Concourse" and to call the same number as the post ahead of mine 800610-5954 and it offers a free Android Touchpad Tablet. This is so obviously a scam. Hope they are stopped.
Michael 2014-01-29 20:22:21 Unknown
I guess Katie Smith is a busy lady! She sent me a letter from Adirondack Concourse telling me the same as above...I won an Android Touchpad Tablet! Lucky me! I don't owe anyone either so not a collection company for me! Toss!!

I received a letter today with a so called "letter head" with the title INLET CONCOURSE. The letter states I am going to receive a free Android Touchpad Tablet Computer at no charge. The letter states for me to call 1 800 610 5954 and it signed by a Katie Smith
ArchKnight 2014-01-15 00:36:30 Unknown
I just got this letter myself. The "Letterhead" (if that's what you want to call it) says, "Mountain Centre". Yep ... "Centre", not "Center".
I'm glad it was so easy to find this information. I am tempted to call the number out of pure curiosity, but I'm not about to do it from any phone that can be traced back to me.
If I can find one still working, there is an ancient communications device I might use. Some of you older folks may remember it. It is called a "pay phone". I'm sure some of you younger folks have never actually seen one. ;)
Seriously, though. It's a toll free number, so the recipient has to pay the pay phone company for the call. If we ALL find a pay phone and call the number ... maybe the company that is sending this will loose enough money to make them re-think their plan.

Received the same letter with letterhead "Inlet Concourse" today, 4 Jan, from Katie Smith, VP, Carolina Awards Division. Small print states "Qualified recipients of this mailer will receive a brand new Touchpad Tablet Computer with Android software in conjunction with our local travel promotion." Thank you, NO.

Yep, same letter as above about the airline tickets. Thought my luck was changing as I had just won another real prize. Curious as to whether this is a collections trick. Has anyone actually called to find out whether it's a timeshare or collections trick?
