I'm from Wisconsin and the three other numbers I have seem also to be targeting WI. The other numbers are 877-451-8501, 800-485-1631 and 877-738-7936. No other info, sorry...

Collection calls for some woman...I don't know her, my phone number has been unlisted for 5 year, they continue to call. I call them at the number they give me, tell them I'm not that person, they hang up on me when I ask for their address. Or they ask me why I want the address, when I tell them, they hang up.
They call twice a day!
richard hughes 2012-02-17 03:52:54 Unknown
these clown have been calling for over a month up to five times a day. Idiots! Pure idiots! filed complain with FTC.
Feedup 2012-02-11 15:25:24 Unknown
They call but don't leave messages. I called one to see what it was but hung up on the name. Have. O idea what they want.

They call at 9am and 4pm and, since I don't have VM, I didn't know who they were. So I answered once and they asked if I was so-and-so and I guess it doesn't matter if you say yes or no, but I got put on hold with music for a long period of time. So I *67'ed them and called them back and asked who they were. The woman refused to give an answer as to what type of business it was, but then I said, "Well, how about I put you on hold and sing to you for a while?" No sense of humor, these people. She told me to call her back sometime. I know I don't owe any money to anyone, and if my name is attached to an outstanding bill, it is at least over 10 years old and created by my ex-husband anyway. I wish the DNC would crack down on these people who won't even tell you who they are when they call you. I'm not answering any more calls unless I know the person!

Oh my gosh!!! I was shocked when I saw that there were others who have received calls from this company that calls itself Virtuoso. I have been receiving calls too for someone who I have no idea who she is. I have a pre-paid cell phone and can't afford to answer phone calls that aren't even for me. I called last week and they said they would remove the number. I got another call today, so I called and told the man who answered that I was getting calls for someone who wasn't me and that I had called before about it. He hung up on me. I immediately called back and got a woman. I told her what had happened. She didn't seem to care that the other guy had hung up on me. I told her that I didn't know the person who they were calling for and gave her the phone number. She said, "That number has been removed." I told her, "Well, they just called me again today." She said very rudely, "Well I apologize but the number has been removed." What IS this rude place!!??? I'm marking "debt collector" below becuase that's what it sounded like and only debt collectors are usually so rude.

They ask if this is so and so press 1 for yes or 2 for no. We always press 2 and they still keep calling
flod30 2011-12-28 00:47:45 Unknown
This company calls my parents house with this number and 2 other numbers 3 times a day, recorded messages.
ML 2011-12-17 14:40:15 Unknown
They said I owe $85.XX to "VSG". I don't know who VSG is and when I asked about it, the guy got rude. Then he wanted me to provide the last four digits of my social security #, I wasn't about to give him any information until he told me who this VSG was, he failed to do so and got mad because I wouldn't provide any of my information to him.
He said he's going to call back on Monday and maybe I'll be in a better mood, I hung up.

} ".. were told to keep calling even though the numbers were registered ..."
The "disgruntled FRA employee" was either given poor regulatory compliance training or never existed. Debt collectors are exempt from scrubbing the federal DNC registry.

These folks must look up all the phone number of a person they wish to collect from and add them all to a rob caller. Will not quite until you back all on your own dime and tell them that the person they are looking for no longer owns the phone number they are using. I was on vaction without my phone and came back to 20 calls from these folks. There should be a law against this. Prehaps I should call them 20 times leaving f...you messages.

Pre-recorded call looking for someone who does not reside at the number they are calling. Finally I called the number and gave them the person's contact number and asked them not to call again. The agent was very rude when I asked him to remove my number from their list. They are also calling my work number - the recording states to hang up if I'm not the person. Calls have continued since I asked to be removed from their list. This is reached harrassment.

"this is an important call for Alfred Moral this is not a telemarketing call please ask Alfred Moral to call us at 800-615-8948 and reference account number 3452029 thank you good bye" #1 - "Alfred" if you're out there this message is for you! #2 - the girl was very polite when I asked to be removed from the list (I just got assigned this new phone number by the phone company)

I've been getting phone calls from this number, and the first time they hung up after i said "Hello" and then the second time they called they went through the whole automated message, and then i hung up when it said to if i was not the person. They just called me back about, i answered the phone, and i didn't say a word, no "Hello" no nothing. They hung up again. Should i call them back, and tell them to take my number off, or should i just wait for them to call back again?

OO & also, did you know that when you call the # back they somehow have a system that they record your #'s. So if your # matches in their system it goes directly to your harassing account manager. If they dont have an accurate #, then they call that # back eventually & then they have you. So block any #'s you call back. *67 then the #. In Texas, they can call as many times as they want as long as it's 8-8pm, if they dont leave a message. IF they leave messages, they are only allowed 3, after that it's considered harassment. If you have notified them they can not call after or before a certain time, they have to abide by that. They cant call you before 9 & after 9 on Saturdays. ON Sundays they can't call you before 12 or after 6pm. They arent real good about that if they dont live in your state. They are too stupid to realize there is a time zone change, depending on where they are & that they try to get away with telling you its not based on your residence. The laws are the debt collectors have to abide by the residence you live in, your time zone, not theirs. They will say or do anything they can to get you to admit you owe them money & to get you to pay them. NO AGENCIES can get your income tax $ from the IRS unless you owe money to a state or government agency, such as student loans. They will tell you they can, but they can't. Some debt collectors have even been smart enough to somehow claim to be a government or state agency of some sort to seize your taxes, but they hardly get away with it. So before you file your taxes, make sure you check your social security # with the IRS to check if there is some type of hold or forfeiture or something on your income through the IRS. It's not likely they can get away with it anymore, but they have before.
TIFFANY 2011-03-31 14:53:16 Unknown
AND NEVER admit to them you will pay them anything because that tells them that you are admitting you do owe them money. If you never admit it, you are likely to fight it through credit reporting agencies & most likely they get dropped because the debt collectors have 30 days to respond to your disputes. If they dont, the credit bureaus drop it from your credit report. But if they are calling you non stop, most likely they will respond. So wait a while, the calls will slow way down. Always remember that when you apply for something new & you give them phone #'s, more than likely that aggressive debt collection agency has your ssn flagged to get all your current info when it's reported to the credit bureaus. So never give your cell # if you can help it. That will be the # the debt collectors will call. Your credit reports are never 100% the same with each bureau, some stuff isnt on other credit reports. SO get your free credit report every year, dispute anything on there, not accurate or something that has been there over 7yrs & has not been updated. Make sure that when you apply for something new the finance company isnt using the same credit agency that the aggressive debt collector is on bec they have you flagged to get your current info. I have had so many inaccuracies on my credit reports because for years someone was using my social security #. I have managed to learn all the tricks & tips debt collectors try. Credit bureaus are very helpful when it comes to your credit. Just take time to ask them.

I have been getting called every day since my last post between 9:45 and 10 AM. I managed to get ahold of one of their representatives today and asked them to take me off their call list. She said they did not have a call list but that she would "update their records". I wasn't rude or mean to her and she was not to me either. Hopefully that will be the end of it.

Several calls from machine claiming to have 'important information' for a person who I've never heard of (which uses up my Pay As You Go credit). I've had phone only a couple of months so perhaps was previous number owner. However, I've followed all the prompts to say this is a wrong number but the calls keep coming. This is costing me $2 every time they call me!
Thanks to the information on this forum, I have contacted Virtuoso Group directly and told them to stop calling me. The person I spoke to assured me that they would stop calling. Time will tell.
