My wife got a call from "Universal Studios" promo dept saying we won a free 5 day vacation all we need to do is pay the taxes. We decide to go ahead with it and pay the taxes (Don't ask why it said SCAM all over it). After getting off the phone I started to do some research and found that it most likely was a scam. So I called Kevin Scheidel back and someone told me he was busy and would no be able to talk to me. They switched me over to Mike Portman and he told me it was NON-Refundable I told him when I spoke with Kevin Sceidel he said we had 30 days to cancel. We went back and forth about no being able to get a refund. It?s my word against Kevins. I told him if he couldn't give me a refund I wanted to talk to someone who could. He told me he was GOD there and there was no one else I could talk with and he hung up on me. I called my credit card company and placed a dispute on the charge and also filed a complaint with the BBB. I?m hoping I can get a refund or I?m out $398. The email address I received my confirmation # from was Promotions Desk americangetaway2@comcast.net. There address comes up as 954 W Hallandale Beach BlvdHallandale Beach,FL33009 The 800 number they gave me to call back was 800-805-5778. Also they mentioned something about bluegreen travel PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!!

hey I received the same booklet, so I decided to called the first time I called they requested my tel# which I gave them a fake one, then the called got lost. I called again all all info in this blog was the same as the represantative, how funny. Then i told you know what I need to talk to my wife, i work in a collection office so I know the strategies for collecting a payment. I continue following the script, finally I kept my story of discussing it with my wife. The rep statted will see what she can do to reserve this great opportunity, the manager got on the phone and statted he will make the deal in payments advised he will discuss with wife, he got irritated and hung up! Pure scam!

This is pure scam.We received a booklet which seems to be believable. We called the toll free number 1-800-618-3003 on the booklet. They told me the package details and asked me to register.I told them that I will not provide my bank details but would like to get registered. Then he said it is not possible and if I hung my call I would loose my discount voucher of 1300$.I realized that its fraud.

Wow, I have a good scam radar, but this one came very close to fooling me today when I received the voucher in the mail. Very good advice, I hope everyone is wise enough to google the # before becoming a victim. These days, this would be too good to be true. The only check I will cash is my stimulus check from Uncle Sam :)

I called the credit card company. They said the charge is already authorized and non refundable. What they suggested is dispute my card if I didn't authorize it.

ok, if you paid them by credit card you're in luck.  Call your credit card company immediately and tell them you want that charge reversed because it was a scam and that you never received the vacation.  Visa, Mastercard, Discover or whatever card you used will help you. call them now.  let me know how you make out on this.  You do have recourse

You know, what I found to be funny was the fact that this certificate arrived in my mail box today offering a FAM trip that did not require one to be a travel professional. I laughed because I knew better; however, I wondered how many others were caught by this scam. Bottom line, Time Share presentation where they plan to twist your arm into buying an expensive travel/vacation package. Ironically, if I were not involved in the travel industry myself, chances are I would have taken the bait. Thank goodness I knew what to look for. If you are ever concerned about a phone call of travel mailer that seems too good to be true, consult a travel professional.

As a travel professional, one can imagine how comical I found this offer to be. Sure it looked like a legitimate offer from Ramada, but as we read more, the more the scam began to expose itself. FAM Trips are realities, but one must have certain credentials (ARC, IATA, CLIA etc) in order to qualify for such excursions. When in doubt, especially about something that appears to be too good to be true in the world of Travel, consult a travel professional. You did good to protect your parents from this scam. Bravo Zulu!!

I received the Ramada/Imperial Majesty voucher in the mail - looks real legit. So I called and the agent explained all the details, then put me on the phone with a "manager". I proceeded to ask questions and he kept changing his numbers and dollar figures.  Then he all of a sudden dropped the price $100.  He kept me on the phone for over 40 minutes.
I kept telling him I was not comfortable giving any CC info and putting down a deposit before I physically booked my trip, he eventually hung up on ME!  That's a first!
Must be a scam like the rest of these comments.

This company is still trying to do "business"...Please do your homework before booking!

It started today when I received what appeared to be a travel voucher in the amount of $1,600. It says that it is a reward for my ?responsible financial history.? (My credit score is VERY low, so that should have been a red flag right there) It really looks pretty authentic, with logos of Ramada Plaza Resorts and Universal Orlando.

I recieved a believeable coupon book by Ramada Plaza Resort and Imperial Majesty. I called them at 1-800-618-3003, someone answerd my call. He began to tell me about the vication. He said you won't have to pay nothing!! You just have to listen to me for 10 min! So after 10 min he told me that all this whole vication is for free, but you have to pay $799.00 to rigeter!!!!!
So he asked me about my credit card number!! ofcours i didn't give him the number, i told him would you give you office address so i would visit you there, then i would pay. For 5 min he just kept asking for my credit card number over and over, he kept telling me not to worry it's not a scam!!! this is so save and all this crap.

an advise to you all, do not call this number 1-800-618-3003, it 100% scam

This agency called telling me that I won a vacation. I also recieved mail from them. I looked them up with the Better Business Bureau and they have a very poor track record and an F rating. Their company is also linked to another number on this site: 800-805-5778 They are not to be trusted.

This correspondence did not come in the form of a phone call but a very somewhat believeable coupon book to my elderly parents who are 80.  The 800# they list is on the book via Ramada Plaza Resort and Imperial Majesty.  The more I investigate, the more I find that this is a scam.  Although it didn't come to my parents in the form of a phone call, I wanted to put my two cents in to warn anyone who reads this that when they Google this, this is a fraudelent scam.
