Had a few from this number too, I refuse to answer calls from any toll free numbers or even numbers I don't recognize for that matter. Thank goodness I have Shaw and you can block individual calls, this number is now on my blocked list.

This number just called me. Since I noticed it was an 800 number I answered the number in French (I'm a 98% English speaking individual). A female voice asked "Hello?" to which I replied "Bonjour!." Either they didn't hear me or she didn't speak French because they hung up. *lol*

I called back 1-800-619-5745. The recording said something like "it is the alberta association for the blind ..."

Really annoying, I answered the phone all three times that they have called and there was no response.  At least if I could talk to someone I could demand that they put me on their do not call list.

When they call. I fart into the phone.

When they call, I turn on my fax machine and let it answer.  This has reduced the number of calls I get from 800 numbers.

There is a link to them:  Aberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind (ASRAB) on the CNIB site so they appear to be legit although I remember donating to them when they came door to door and I never got my promised tax receipt so I'm wary.  

We bought a set of 4 Panasonic cordless phones recently that come with call block on the phone itself.  I've blocked this number.  How irritating even with call display.  Every night between 6 and 7 p.m. while trying to watch the news!

I got several calls form this number and they left  messages only with a couple seconds of heavy breathing.  Kind of creepy

No one is there if you pick up. It must be some sort of auto dialer. God knows what they're selling, but np one will if they don't speak. If we don't answer, they don't ring long enough for our voice mail to cut in, so it can't be that important. But they always call back right away if you do pick up, so the best is to just ignore them.

ps. we're on that rusty seive list too, but I understand that spurious telemarketers are now registering and obtaining that list for a measly $50 and are using it as marketing list rather than as an exclusion list. Thank You CRTC. You are doing a great job, in the best of government traditions!

Just received a call from this #, when I picked up the phone no response so hung up. Why is it any different if Charity calls over a telemarketer, they both are harrasing calls and should be banned. If I want to contribute to a charity I can call them and donate. PJC's comment is priceless.

This is an automated call center number that spams you (me daily) with a hang up. Software confirms there is an owner to the phone number. If you call this number back, you get an automated message from the Aberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind (ASRAB) telling you to call a different number to make a donation. I have requested a do not call message to their Executive Director below:

Just began getting this number calling today. They leave no message. A call to Canada from somewhere.

When I called, I got a bit more detail about it being an information line about some charity sports association for the blind.
