I've tried to get NET 10 to stop calling - I've gone with a different carrier - but, NET 10 keeps calling.  They need a way to get off the calling list.  Perhaps they read this.

This was a call from my pay-as-you-go cell provider, Net10, reminding me that my service expires in ten days, and to add more airtime.

Event Reminder
My wife pays over $100.00 each month for wireless service from one of the major providers, I pay $100.00 for 6 months of service from net10 and have time left that is carried over when I renew my service. Yes, I only use voice service for nessary calls, and almost nil text messages, but for me it is perfect low-cost mobil conectivity.
And as for all you who complain about getting calls, but not having service, probly a subscriber listed your number on registratin form (either accidently or on purpose to avoid giving ther own number) when they started service.

Event Reminder
I have net10 cell phone and really enjoy roll-over minutes (i use very little, so don't pay much and they continue to add up) I think the phone message offers an option to opt - out of calls, but I occassionally need reminding and have given Net10 my home phone number.
The 800 620-2403 call to me is perfectly ok since I have a 'biz-relation' with Net10- I like to 'lead-on' unsolicited telemarketers in hopes to obtain necessary information to prosecute a "no-call" violation - BUT 800-620-2403 is NOT an UNsolicited call.

Thanks Net10 for your reminder of days of service remaining. A hugh benefit for me using a pre-paid is that my tendency to mis-place/lose or (have stolen and not know it) puts too much at risk with regular phone/ ie attached to credit report etc etc.

The call was probably intended for the party who previously had your new land line number! Are you a blond? Ah, just kidding.

I have bought several Net10 phones to give to others and believe there is no better phone plan anywhere for infrequent users.
In my experience the customer service has always been very good.
According to "PF" below-
"Called the 800 number back, used menu option 3 to opt out of future calls (it's automated, you don't speak to a human)..."

I agree, Chuck.  Great service and great price.  Unless you have a high volume of calls or texts, it's excellent.  Costs me about $15 per month.

We use Net 10.  We only have a cell phone for emergencies, so it works for us.  I just wish they would identify themselves on caller ID.  I won't answer if it says unavailable.

We also have Verizon for our land line.

I use net10 but I never gave them my land line #. I did call back and opt out of being called. Didn't work at all. They call me EVERY HOUR! I am sick of it.

Granted, I love net 10 too. But this is ridiculous!

I have used Net10 for several years and am very pleased with their cell phone service. Ten cents a minute with no contract is great! $30 dollars for two months with 300 minutes air time works for me.

This is a net 10 reminder.  Never received it until recently however and have had my phone since about this time last year.
After reading these post, I decided to return the call, just to see.  Toward the end of the message, it does tell you to press 3 to opt out.
Pressed 3, entered phone # to opt.
Has not called again.
Of course I would never enter my credit card number to buy minutes over the phone anyway so that sure
wasn't an option.  I buy mine at a store.
I like my net 10 phone by the way, because we don't stay on our phones 24/7 like most people these days.
Very inexpensive and has way more minutes that most prepaid phones.
I have no complaints.

This number is from Net 10? From the sounds of it, I think many of you may be getting conned...and it is one of those calls that try to get you to send money to them...but it is really just a fake business and they get away with your money. Scammers like this pick a random company and make randon calls and ..if by coincidence you happen to be a net 10 customr (or whatever other company they may be using at the time to trick you...usually it's a bank...but the Net 10 thing is an interesting twist)...then they are to ''1st base'' with you...then if you also happen to need minutes, they are at ''2nd base''.......then you believe the call and may send them money, they have the ''skip 3rd and go the the home run''. It is all a trial and error scam and if you happen to have net 10 and need minutes..then you ''may'' fall for it. The reson I suspect this is a scam...and I am surprised more people have not voiced suspicion also...is because I have recived a call from this number...but it is on my home phone...my ATT hardline one. Why would a call like this not come on their cell phone you would own...plus the fact they also send text messages about needing minutes. They don't charge you for those calls or texts, either. As I said, I own net 10  (for about 5 years now) and if I need minutes then I always know  that fact anyway because it is dsiplayed on my phone...duh! This is a scam just like many similar ones that use varied other company names. Watch out for these...they are tricky. That said, if anyone can give me a reson they think I may be wrong, then please let me know...because I like to be on top of these things...since they are bombarded on us from everywhere is ever changing ways. If it is real...then someone please convince me or give me some facts to ponder.

I was surprised to get a call from this number today on my Skype-in phone number.  I just got a Net10 phone last Sunday and have had nothing but problems getting my old Verizon number transferred over.  So I've only used 8 minutes of my initial 300 minutes. I don't need more minutes at the moment - I need a working phone!

I am positive the call came from Net10 or some company they sold my contact number to, since no one else knows that the Skype number is in Net10's records.  Anyway, when I called the number to say, in essence, "WTF?" I got a recording of a woman's voice saying something like "Met any new people lately?  Men and women all over the United States are talking all day and night!  You can too by calling 1-800-456-5600!"

What?  Sounds like they're trying to get me to join a dating service or something - no mention of adding minutes to my phone!  (which I didn't need anyway, obviously.)  So I called Net10 tech support to complain.  Jose assured me that Net10 does not sell my contact info - so that just means that Net10 is doing this THEMSELVES in order to generate more calls on their system.  He then said that he changed something in the system so that I wouldn't get any more of these calls and never would answer a direct question re: whether the calls were coming from NET10 or not in the first place.

I'm still waiting for a new SIM card to get my phone to work.  Verizon already released my old number to them so my old phone no longer works. But Net10 "lost" my shipping address and ... but that's another story.  Suffice to say that my Net10 experience so far has been terrible.  I hope the phone actually works when the SIM arrives.

We have a couple of Net 10 phones and we receive the reminder calls about adding minutes.  I believe that, at the end of the message, they give you the opportunity to opt out of receiving future reminders.  I know Trac does it and I believe Net 10 does, as well.
