Apparently "Complete Home" is affiliated with TLG Great Fun, found on the Hotwire site.  I also didn't have a phone call but this is the number that I used to cancel and get my $139.99 back.  The best thing to do is to cancel the card you are getting charged on.  My CC company is starting an investigation into these companies (they will hit you with more than 1 company name) and they said to get that card canceled and get a new one.  Complete Home gave me a cancellation code and claim they will refund me.  Only time will tell!

I received an unauthorized charge of $12.99 on my credit card from TLGComphme 800-636-2379.  They said the membership was from a magazine subscription service.  The magazine I ordered was from my grandaughter's grade school fundraiser from another state.  I was just trying to be a good grandfather and here the company is ripping people off with unauthorized memberships.  The outfit did cancel and reversed the charges, but you have to be pro-active and check your statement carefully.

The same thing happened to my boyfriends HSBC credit card. He never joins anything like that. They charged $129.99 to his card and we are both upset. Is there any kind of lawsuit that can be filed for this?

To all this is very unfortunate but all this is what has happened. Our great Credit Card companies who are supposed to help protect us have been kind enough to add statement mailers that look like a refund check - DO NOT CASH - this is how an re-occurring fee is set up on your account each month and in many cases checks are not even cashed - Marketing Scheme this needs attorney general Attention in regards to the credit card re-format. Get after the credit card company along with the companies hitting your accounts!!

Just got off the phone with "mike" who advised me that this was a charge that I agreed to sometime prior to Apr. 09. I requested a refund and have been told I should see it in 7-10 days. The charge was associated with Cooking.com. I have purchased from them before but my last purchase was years ago.
Look out for cooking.com in the future.

this is one of those worthless membership programs that NO ONE willing sign up for - so they use special offers on retail websites.

to get the free shipping or $$ off your current order - you AGREE to a trial membership to the program when placing your order and you give them permission to charge the same card you used to place that order on that website.  In some cases its fine print and pre-checked check boxes.

I have seen this on many retail websites - and they do state this is what will happen if you DO NOT CANCEL within the trial period.  I just never bother to take advantage of them at all.

they rely on the consumer not paying attention or reading the terms and conditions of the offer.   They also do not send the required package of information to you so you forget to cancel it if you did read the terms and conditions of the offer.

The Today show did a piece about these programs a couple of years ago.  Based on complaints received from viewers - Today show staff went to all the websites reported and FOUND FULL DISCLOSURE  of these membership programs and THEY determined that it was because no one read the terms and conditions.

This also comes as offers from your credit card companies - they usually send a check for $8 or$9 dollars - it is stated clearly in the mailing that by cashing the check you agreeing to sign up for the program - and have the monthly fee deducted.  I get these checks regularly  and they go straight into the shredder.

I just noticed a 14.99 charge being taken from my checking account for the last four months.  I know I didn't not sign up for this, and it is hitting my debit card, not a credit card.  Is this something that should be reported?

This number appeared on a credit card charge of $149.99. Called the number and they stated a check from Haband had been cashed thus allowing them to sign us up for this membership. They did refund the charge and cancelled any further membership costs. Since we did NOT sign this check, they are sending a copy of the check for our inspection. Don't know how they accessed this charge card number but am suspicious that Haband provided it for them from a previous order of clothing....BOO HISS...shame on you Haband!

Company (TLG) is a third party vendor that obtains your account numbers directly from your credit card company.  Your company may send you a check or try to get your authorization by some other type of scheme and once you cash it the third party starts to charge you.  In our case it they charged us anyway even though we didn't acccept anything.  Again it is your own card company doing this.

Today, 11-24-09, I discovered an unknown charge from this company on my CC statement.  I called the number and found out that it was Complete Home processing an unauthorized charge from 1-800-Flowers.  This is an important point: I cannot be sure whether the bogus charge initiated with "Complete Home" or with "Flowers." The man with whom I talked put me on hold and then came back to tell me that everything was taken care of, and that the charge should be reversed within 48 hours.  I responded by telling him that it didn't take 48 hours to reverse a charge.  He put me on hold again and then I talked to the supervisor, who revealed to me that it took that long because they were working for a third party.  She also promised to take my name off their list, and there would be no more pop-ups or ads.  I infer that one gets on their list by clicking on the wrong spot on a computer pop-up when trying to remove it.  I will keep you all updated on how this story progresses.

You will need to close the account. If this is a credit card, then you need to let them know the situation. When you get the new account number, make sure they do not automatically authorize the charges from the old account onto the new one.

As a cancer patient, I have not been watching my accounts very often since surgery.  I had to look up a canceled check for a hospital bill when I noticed these charges. I called Great Fun Membership Discount Club at 800-290-8603.  Apparently, they have been charging my account $11.99 per month for 3 months.  The supervisor will be refunding my charges, but never really answered my question.  How did they get my banking information to begin with.  GTF has a PO Box 6100, Westerville, OH  43086. They also have a fax number of 800-964-8115.  Then, I called the other number listed on my bank account 800-636-2379. They are currently closed.  This company is Complete Home Network.  Their hours of operation is M-F 9A-8P & Sa 10A-6P Eastern time. They told me that I took advantage of a $20.00 Target Discount Card.  When I count the days back, I was just done with breast cancer surgery with my drain still in at the time I supposedly approved these transactions.  What I also found as interesting is the fact the transaction codes on sequential. That indicates these were source by the same company.  We do not have any open credit cards.  Our account with Chase has been closed for several years.  However, we did make online payments through our bank account.  Has anyone contacted any official authority? I plan to call my bank first, then the Illinois State Attorney General's office. In our case, $11.99 per month for 3 months is $35.97, then times the 2 separate companies is $71.94. The transactions are coded as if you were in person when you purchased whatever it is that we have been charged for.  I have never been to Ohio, so how did they get my account information?  Really good questions with no answers.  Does anyone know where these calls originate from?

I called them at the 18006362379 and as soon as the voice comes out asking for your membership number and last name, don't enter it.. instead press 0 and it will transfer you to an operator.  Like I said.. threaten them with going to the media and the officials and they will comply and even let you talk to a supervisor.   Try it... It seemed to work,  I still cancelled my credit card just in case.

Hope this helps.

This is a fraudulent company who charges people accounts with the hope that they don't notice and pay it later.  Kind of like throwing the rock and hidding the hand.  If you catch it, they reverse the charges if you don't, then you just got suckered!!!  This is wrong and I was just on the phone with HSBC and it appears that HSBC provides them with info to your account and the ability for them to charge you.  This sucks!!!

I called the 18006362379 number that was given to us by our credit union.  When they answer it's a machine, but if you press O for operator it transfers you to a live person.  She explained it's some kind of rebate/coupon offer company, and apparently they offered a $20 rebate.  In our case, we purchased something from overnight prints and they offered a $20 rebate.  I take it they get the credit card information from the company we ordered from, but it is a monthly charge.  I threatened to go to the officials and media with this issue, since I didn't give my consent and they offered the cancellation and my refund!
So, I'll check my cc statement in 48 hours and see if it's true.  I hope everyone here tries to dispute this and get their money back.
