I am on a no call list and I get calls from this number almost daily. and sometimes several times a day. I answer and there isn't anyone there. This has been going on for several months. I'm so sick of this.

They call every day and when I pick up there is no one there.

Cahner Publishing is a marketing service firm contracted by numerous professional trade magazines (such as Electronic Design News, Medical Design Technologies, and etc.)  They got your information from other trade magazines that you have signed up in the past.  Just about all the callers from from India  with names like Mary Wilson (*don't ask me why).
It's basically harmless.

This is from EDM Magazine (could be various magazines though) to setup free subscriptions. I went through their speil this morning after various attempts in the past two weeks to reach me via phone.

Got a call this morning at 10:33am, 800-637-6081. I did not pick-up, and no message was left.

I think these 800 numbers have been taken over Aliens. They keep calling us to record our voices. Nice try !! You can do better

Calls daily and no one there

Up to 10 calls a day - leaves voice mail with nothing but hours of operation - no company name given. My number is on the do not call list - lot of good that does!!

Now I know why I always get calls from this number.

They are trying to contact me and attempt to send me technical publication.

They have been calling me every day since around March and EVERY time I pick up no one answers. I am becoming VERY frustrated.

they called everyday in past two weeks. I recognize the phone number and never pick up the phone.  But they keep on calling.

I think it is a business RAG trying to get you to subscribe,  usually at no cost, but you just need to go through their 2 hour questionnaire from someone that can barely speak ENGLISH.

Someone said they wanted to verify some information to send a free subscription.  They did not say what the subscrition was for, which prompted a quick hang up on my part.

Calls my restaurant everyday, today 03/12/09 I called back and opted 2 for costumer service, after waiting almost 2 minutes in complete silence it connected me with a human been, this lady (Shawna) answered and I asked to get my number removed from their database, she said it would take up to 72 hours for the number to be removed. Hopefully it will work.

Call 800-637-6079 and ask them to remove your name from the list.

thank you to one of your bloggers!  I have been getting calls from 800-637-6081 several times a day.  when I answer I get nothing but air on the other end of the line.  voice mails that are left are just air too.  thanks to one of the bloggers on this site, I called 800-637-6079 -reed business information systems and got a hold of a customer service rep.  she said that the number is being called by one of their "off-shore" call centers regarding subsription renewals.  told her I am on the do not call list and I want my number taken off their call list.  she said it takes four business days for the number to drop off their call list.  glad I looked online at your site!

Multiple calls and hang-ups. Very disruptive to my day.

Twice today on my cell marked them as a do not answer and called to remove my #. We'll see what good it does.

I too called back the 800-637-6081 number and spoke with a customer service rep. I was told that they are a telemarketing firm for Reed Business Information and that it was most likely off shore telemarketers calling to renew my subscription (to what, I don't know). The customer service rep removed my number from their calling list... yeah... great... we all know how that works out.

You apparently do not have a life. Otherwise, why would you be monitoring this site? if you didn't have a problem with the number. It is very annoying, and they do not take you off the list when you ask. Even if it was legitimate, there is no reason anyone should have the right to annoy you twice a day forever.

everyday i get at least 10 hang up calls throughout the day - so we *69 the number and the number given to us was 800-637-6081 - so I called them and it is some sort of telemarketing company that pushes magazine subscriptions.  I talked to a customer service rep and told her I was receiving hang up phone calls from this number - she told me she would take me off the list - I asked her WHY do we receive the hang ups instead of a person talking trying to get us to subscribe to some magazine.  She told me that a computer automatically dials numbers and if there is a bad connection (something goes wrong) then it hangs up instead of giving me a person.

I personally would rather have a customer service rep bother me than a hang up phone call!

I will also follow up to let everyone know if they do stop calling me since I asked to be put on the no call list.

I am called constantly also and no one ever says anything. I am taking this as harrassment. This is a business line, and if this continues I will be filing a law suit against Cahners-Denver Publishing Co.

I called the number, pressed 2 for customer service, spoke to Rob, he took my number and was going to have it removed - takes 2-3 days....
