Got a call from this number and did not answer. Caller rang six rings and VM picked it up (most computer dialed calls hang up at 4 rings)and apparently held through the whole voice message. When the voice mail began to record I heard the "If you would like to make a call, please hang up and dial the number again"
recording you sometimes get from the phone company if you take the phone off hook. I am not sure what to make of this since in my own testing, if the calling party hangs up in the middle of my message the VM automatically hangs up and never records a message. It's almost like that phone call had that message embedded in it. Very odd.

The number is for free magazine subscriptions.
I renewed a subscription on one, and for the next 4 days received calls from the number, and when I answered, there was no one on the other line and the phone disconnected.
I finally called the number back today and selected the option to speak to a Customer Service rep, told them I have been receiving the calls and they were "harassing" and "annoying" The rep then added me to their do-not-call list, so hopefully I won't hear from them again.

Yes, they are free magazines that you can never unsubscribe from.  I have tried many times telling the caller to remove my name from any and all subscriptions.  I assume that all of their revenue is from advertising which they can sell based on circulation.  The circulation number simply cannot tolerate any cancellations.  I have been so annoyed by these people that I have considered informing the advertisers but who has the time.

If you really want to screw with them, call the number back 10-15 times per day and just let your phone sit there until their answering system hangs up on you.  They will be paying for 5-10min calls to their 800 number, so if enough people do this it will get expensive for them.

Call was disconnected after I answered.  I called back and it is Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier (I found their website through google).  However, they weren't even when they called me (different time zones.  Hope this helps.

This is a phone number used by various companies to confirm my free business magazine subscriptions.  The information gathered allows the publishers to tell their advertisers exactly who gets the magazine.  Their goal is to deliver an "audience" and the caller operates as an audit agency similar to the ABC which audits newspaper circulation.

They call place of business looking for various former employees to try to renew "free" subscriptions to trade publications. They also ask for people by title, and those calls are not accepted. They call a couple of times a week.

Nothing is ever FREE! you may think it is in the beginning but DO NOT DO THIS you will eventually get a bill. They like to target companys thinking that companys just pay what ever bill they get and not really know what it is for then they come up with the magazine was never free just to make you feel obligated to paying there bill

Been getting these calls different times, different days.
Called the number back, got the recording and pressed '2' for customer service.
It rang many times then a CSR (named Susan) answered.
Told her about receiving these calls with no one on the other end.
She apologized and said it is being caused by a automated dialer, used by subscription services.
She said she would have my number removed if wanted.
She asked me for my number, said it could take up to 72 hours for the number to be removed, and apologized again.
Hopefully this will work.
If not – I’ll post here again.

Short call, left no voicemail.  May be the same party responsible
for using 637-6081, based on those reports.  Probably a subscrupulous
outfit trolling for names and availabilities.

A woman called me and asked to speak to a manager. She did not identify herself unitl I asked what company she was calling from. I was told Home Accents To Be and we want to send you a "free" magazine subscripton with no charge. I find that very odd and told no our company doesn't want it.
