my sister got a phone call from this number about a hour ago. They called and when she answered they hung up.The guy said that he was with alliance first that was working with capital one credit. This guy was a complete a**hole! so much of an a**hole that when he was asked how he got her personal work cell number that he said it was besides the point. My sister has not had a credit card debt with capital one in over 2 years, which was paid in full directly to capital one.
Upon investigation and 1-800-***-**** listings the 1-800-640-8836 came up as a forwarded number to a cell phone being used out of Los Angeles California. If you get called by this number it is a FAKE COLLECTION AGENCY!!!!!!

I keep getting calls from this company at home and at work. Yes, I do have an account on collection, but the name of the collection company is NOT "Alliance First", it is "Alliance One". They are the ones I'm dealing with. By the way, they are highly abusive, and they won't give you their name or phone number. If anything he will say his name is Josh, but then it turns out it was Joe.

I receive calls from this # as well. I have told them that they have the wrong # but they still keep calling. I ended up calling the number back and cussing the person who answered for 15 minutes. I told them if I received another call I was going to contact my lawyer. They Stopped calling.

This number is also coming up on my caller ID alot. I just got this phone and the number that they have been calling so I know they have the wrong number and I don't owe ANYONE money so I wouldn't have a reason for a debt collection agency to be calling me. They should stop calling or leave a message. I'm a little tired of seeing that number come up.
