Called looking for my husband, and when I told her he wasn't here and asked if I could take a message, she said she was calling about a pledge made, and said she would call back later.  My husband doesn't know what pledge she was talking about.

Received call about a month ago asking for a pledge to the Breast Cancer Institute. I asked for info to be sent via mail. Information came but I did not send donation because I could find no information online about the Breast Cancer Institute. Today a lady called asking if I had received the info. I informed her that I would not be sending a donation and she replied, "No problem."

I get about 2 calls a night from this number.  They do not leave a message and I don't answer.

They called two times representing Children's Charitable Foundation.
Before the second call I got the IRS 990 which showed that in 2006 the charity raised $3.3 mil and spent $2.9 mil on fundraising. I told the caller that I could not contribute to an organization where only 8% of my money went to the children.
The caller hung up.

The number comes up as ACS Fundraisers.  I have asked them to stop calling me numerous times.  They still call me 3-4 times per day.  They are driving me nuts.  I am ready to call a lawyer and see what I can do legally to get them from stop calling.  I have registered complaint after complaint with the donotcall.gov but nothing is being done.

The number to be removed from their call list is 248-352-6000. This is their headquarters, I think the "manager" was surprised when I got through.

Called but I did not answer and they did not leave a message......unknown caller shows up on caller ID.

I meant 1-800-641-6027. They say we are tax write off. They really are but how much can you write off?

They call me too. I send them money and they promise to take my name off the call list. But than I get another phone call thanking me for my generous offer and asking me for more money. It usually gets bad around December.

These people call three or four times a day.  Just let the phone ring is all I do.  My Phone, I choose who I talk to.

A guy named Xavier calls me every month to give again. Never give anything to these guys you'll be in the loop forever!

Call comes at all hours of the day. Upon answering they always delay in response. Asks for my husband when either I or my daughter answer the phone.  When told he is unavailable (most of the time they call when he is at work) they then hang up.

they call continually--we don't answer the phone when they call, but that doesn't help

THEY called MANY weeks ago "STATING" they were "THE Navy Vets" Collecting FUNDS for "RETURNING, DISABLE Navy Personal" (???).
I told "THEM" to send ME, the "FACTS" in the MAIL & IF (???)I FEEL, they are for REAL I MAY send "SOMETHING"? THEY Stating they would PUT
ME down for $20.00(?) & hung up!!!  

NOW, they call me 2-3 times a DAY, ASKING (almost DEMANDING) the DONATION!!!

THE FLYER..... they SENT has the "ENTIRE" back page,  FULL of DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS ( STATING...THEY ARE NOT RELATED... to ANY VA
Organizations, in "ANYWAY"  Etc & ETC!!!

This number calls me at all hours, but mostly evenings.  It is a company called, "ACS."  Supposedly they represent various charitable organizations.  I have asked that I be removed from their call list and apparently they haven't gotten around to doing this --- that was MONTHS ago!!

They called us tonight Feb 25,2008 @ 8:30 and hubby told them its too late to be calling! They hung up fast!

Have called at least twice today.  Never leave a message.

Today 800-641-6027 called and said they were something like "Cancer centers of America."

They are one of the groups that spend 50 or 60 % of their income of telemarketing or as we know it harassment.

Who knows they may even be prisoners hired to do the calling. prisoners did wiring sets for us and we had to redo the work.  gives you an idea of why htey don't seem to care too much

9:02 a.m. (!) -- nothing for several seconds, then call-center sounds for about 10 seconds, then hang-up.

My husband told them numerous times that we don't do donations over the phone. They continue calling, and don't understand "No".
